The process is not linear or obvious. Hate to say this but take a page from kdp - a very clear, very direct process.

Suggestion: ask an author who has never used your site to start … and watch where the hiccups and slowdowns are. Then make changes accordingly.

Make clear, complete tutorials for beginners and post them on YouTube. Not to be mean, but pls use native English speakers.

Also, I still have no idea how the Pro Plan works. Yes, the basics are posted, but how exactly do those things help distribute and sell books? Answers in a separate tutorial, pls.

I originally planned to go with another self-publishing option, but while waiting for them to resolve some payment processing problems, l found this firm. StreetLib’s online terms stated that they would “publish my book professionally in both digital and print formats with their Digital + Print Bundle, format my book as a PDF file for print-on-demand or digital printing, and with one year of global distribution included, make my book available everywhere readers are." With this promise, l was convinced to switch to them — which meant giving up the 50% discount then being offered by the previous firm. However, shortly after signing up, l received an email which informed me that StreetLib’s print-on-demand service is currently only available in Italy! By that time the discount from the first firm had expired, and the best that StreetLib could offer was to distribute my printed books through Amazon alone — despite there being no mention of these facts in their online terms at that time. That glaring omission had led me to switch to them at a loss of $125, which was the extra money it would now cost me to return to the original firm.

Now here’s the irony: as a direct result of my complaint, StreetLib changed the wording on their website to be more transparent. Yet when l told them that their incomplete online information had cost me $125, they weren’t interested. Although l repeatedly asked to be compensated for this loss, they dug in their heels, claiming right up to 18th March that they owed me nothing. Of course, thanks to the recent amendments to their webpage, the same thing is unlikely to happen to you. But l do hope you’ll take note of how this firm treats customers who have a genuine complaint, because at the end of the day, StreetLib’s mistake has cost me money l can’t afford… and as for them? Well, clearly they couldn’t care less.

StreetLib è una piattaforma intuitiva e affidabile per autori indipendenti, con un’ampia rete di distribuzione, royalty trasparenti e un ottimo supporto anche per chi come me non ha tante competenze digitali. Perfetta per chi vuole pubblicare in modo semplice, veloce e professionale. Inoltre, il servizio di assistenza clienti è rapido e disponibile, pronto a rispondere a qualsiasi dubbio o necessità.

Considerato il cambiamento della grafica, ho utilizzato il servizio "Pacchetto design ed impaginazione copertina" proposto da Streetlib per una nuova copertina per il mio libro pubblicato nel 2016.
Sono rimasta soddisfatta del servizio ricevuto e dell'aiuto fornito quando richiedevo chiarimenti.

Premesso che per me e l'inizio. I contatti finora sono stati buoni. Il pacchetto dei servizi mi ha convinto. Ora mi attende che l'esperienza continua ad essere positiva.

Tutto bene unica pecca che non si riesce a avere un contatto telefonico. Lavorano bene e rispondono alle mail celermente..Bravi.

Sono Gìa Fort Shoping e pubblico con StreetLib da molti anni. E' stata una scelta consapevole nonostante avessi offerte da editori di un certo riguardo. Sono più che soddisfatto del rapporto instaurato. Corretti, collaborativi, sempre disponibili. Sono un freelance ingenito e con Street ho potuto lavoraree senza interventi esterni che non gradisco (editor frustrati).

I cannot login. Everything I try leads to a dead-end with an instruction telling me to do something I have already done (must accept privacy policy) or (must include email address). When I seek to obtain a new password, the box that indicates a code with be sent to you, only gives me "User password cannot be reset in the current state." when I click it. And I cannot find a way to communicate with a person. Very frustrating.

All'inizio era conveniente. Col passare degli anni hanno diminuito sempre di più le royalties per gli autori/editori. Ora sono insostenibili: si guadagna circa la metà del prezzo di copertina per gli ebook, ma il vero salasso è sui cartacei dove si incassa dal 13% al 23% circa sul totale. Sul loro store i guadagni sono più alti ma personalmente è dove ho venduto di meno, tanto di meno da non far differenza.
In questi giorni hanno anche messo una "tassa" sui libri gratuiti (che a questo punto non lo saranno più perché si dovrà metterli in vendita per non andare in perdita).
Le due stelle sono per l'assistenza e l'interfaccia della piattaforma ma questo non basta se i ricavi sono così esigui.

A furia di ingozzarsi ci si strozza.

Their system is very easy to use and allows us control to quickly change descriptions, covers, etc. I love having a US contact in Julie Trelstad. She responds quickly to my questions and any troubleshooting that needs to be done. StreetLib is professional, up-to-date with ebook technology, and consistently expanding their vendors. They are a good match for a medium sized publisher like us.

StreetLib è un "must" per chi sceglie di pubblicare le proprie opere letterarie. Ho potuto verificare personalmente la qualità dei servizi offerti, che sono all'avanguardia e modernamente aggiornati, al passo sempre con l'evoluzione dei moderni settori editoriali. La rete imprenditoriale di riferimento per la diffusione dei testi su tutte le migliori e più importanti piattaforme online è vasta e seria. L'assistenza, se necessaria, è puntuale, cortese al di là della gentilezza di forma, e soprattutto concreta. Penso che qui ognuno che voglia approcciare il mondo dell'editoria in libertà e secondo le proprie possibilità possa trovare lo spazio che più gli si adatta. Li seguo da anni e continuo ad essere ben soddisfatta della mia scelta.
