These texts have cost me £19.50 and I never knowingly signed up for them. I am shocked that between 8th April and 6th May I received 13 texts that told me nothing - except for the final one telling me the charges. The Stop message I sent was rejected. Hopefully, I have finally stopped this fraudulent messaging by filling in an ‘unsubscribe’ form online, also by ensuring my SIM spend cap is set to zero (so these kind of abuses cannot take place).

Receiving mail from Stripey offers every month saying they will charge me for their services which i never requested. As per their instruction i keep texting STOP to them but they just ignore it.

This is a scam. I thought I.was on a parking app Before I knew it I had lost £4.50

Conned into allowing these scammers to debit my mobile a/c 3 times @£1.50 each time. Caught it just in time. I will be reporting to the appropriate authorities.

Well I've just joined the scammed by Stripey Giraffe group! I was downloading a different app and unbeknownst to me I was entering details into the Stripey Giraffe site. I texted STOP to the number but got no response and then saw today that they were emailing me as well. I emailed them to tell them to stop taking payments where they did reply instantly to inform me that no more money would be taken out via my mobile billing. I do not trust that this would have been the end so I contacted my phone provider and they have put a premium block on my phone so that they can't take anymore money from me. I am lucky as I only lost £4.50. I can no longer purchase anything via my phone and sadly the charities that I was supporting will now suffer too. I would say lesson learnt but as with so many others they imposed this situation on me and the anxiety it caused. I know that this is not helpful to warn people in advance as you don't know it happens until it's too late but maybe helpful advice to what to do if it has happened to you.

I have just looked and they are based in the UK. I will be reporting this to Trading Standards. I suggest if enough people do the same, action maybe taken to prevent future scamming.

Would give them zero stars. Got caught out when trying to order food in a cafe. They send you texts at £1.50 a time and then you have to pay to send a text to stop it. Total scam

I've also been scammed, when the message came up I didn't read it and reported it as spam but it seems I've lost around £20 to them!
As with other comments my provider 'giffgaf' say it's nothing to do with them.

I'm probably only repeating what every other person has experienced with this SCAM. However, I thought it was worth mentioning that I got scammed through logging onto the BBC iplayer, where I was asked to enter a code that was sent to my phone, and ever since, I been getting these SCAM TEXTS.
13 x £1.25 have appeared on my latest O2 bill !!!!
Phoned O2 today, who I thought, would have been more helpful, saying the Premium Texts were nothing to do with them. They've put a zero spend cap on my account and offered a £10 credit as a good will gesture. I really thought being the provider, that they could completely block these Scammers, but apparently not!!!! Not sure whether to bother with the STOP texts option, as not really wanting to encourage any contact with these " low lives "

Stripey offers have laughably (if it wasn’t so sinister) offered to refund me and have asked for my bank or PayPal details.
DO THEY REALLY THINK PEOPLE ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO TRUST THEM WITH THIS! Pretty obvious why they want it. SCAMMERS

I have just received my mobile statement and have been shocked to find that a company StripeyOffers.com have charged money to my telephone account for sending premium texts to my phone.
I have never knowingly subscribed to them, have never had any interest in them and certainly would not waste good money on a gaming company as I strongly disapprove of parasitic companies who get rich by encouraging others to get sucked into their highly addictive gaming. I have never gambled or wasted money on electronic or online games and to find that these strangers have charged me for things I did not want or ask for is a real shock to me.

I haven’t registered with this company, but have had several emails from them. I didn’t open any in case it was a scam. I didn’t receive any text messages from them, but realised something was wrong when I had a text message from 02 saying I was at 100 per cent of my spend cap. I didn’t understand and phoned 02 who informed me that my spend cap was £5 and stripey giraffe had taken 3 x £1.50 totalling £4.50. I have now placed a nil limit as my spend cap so they will not be able to claim anymore. Just feel so relieved that I only lost £4.50 and that they can’t take anymore. Surely something can be done about these scammers, as this scam has been going on for several years.

Scamners AVOID never signed up get free text then says £1.50 per text offer , block them complete and contact your mobile phone provider they are dirty scammers !!!!
Never answer calls either

I was trying to download an app for a Glory Fit smart watch and instead ended up on this site. I was tired and did not check the small print and before I knew it had signed up, however my phone is on a monthly pay as you go and there is no way they can get any money.

A complete well disguised scam which should be blocked by the authorities. I was trying to change (to a third version for routine GP online medication which is now the NHS app) when a PIN code was sent and believing this part of the sign up I used it. The NHS app progressed normally and I could see my recent orders placed via Patient Access (the previous GP app).
However shortly after I started getting Stripey offers so quickly found it was a scam and used a telephone number (automated voice), cancelled and was given a 7 digit cancellation reference. Let’s see it it works.
I am also in a 20 minute (already) queue to speak to O2 who I assume will be collecting the scam £1.50 texts/email offers. These scams should be blocked since at no point did I sign up for anything.

If you are reading this, you have already been scammed. I only realised I had not signed up to what I was trying to find when I started receiving messages from them. This company intercepts legitimate enquiries and gets you telephone number under the plausible guise of needing to send you a pin. Then it charges your phone account for sending you messages. I tried unsubscribing and still got messages from them.

I have never joined this company offers, yet I was charged £13.50 this month. Phoned Sky and explained I had no knowledge of the as my husband thought it was something I had bought, never heard of them had never opened their text always deleted text and emails I didn't recognise without opening them. Sky were brilliant and sort the problem for me. Its a scam, if they'd their homework offering Domino's pizza they should know that the nearest domino's is more than 4hours away and I have never had a domino's pizza.

Received a text message from stripeyOffers.com saying I had joined them. Which I hadn't. I had read the previous comments and fortunately I hadn't clicked on anything in the message. I immediately rang my provider, who were aware of this scam. This is what she told me to do. Go into Google on your phone and put stripeyoffers in and it should come up with the website, click on that and scroll down without putting your name in to where you enter your mobile number in. Underneath it says unsubscribe and click on that. In addition to this I am on zero cap which should stop them trying to take any money. Hope this helps.

Premium txt message I did not sign up to

Displayed along the top of a legitimate program I needed to use and duped me into logging into it rather than the one I needed. Within a minute they had charged my phone account with three charges .
Do not click unsubscribe on their links, call your phone network provider straight away and cap your account at £0. Sky has already good knowledge of this company and were great. You cant stop the £4.50 charge already charged to you but they wont get any more money off you.
Report to action fraud as well.

Been scammed by these b’s but our mobile provider,Tescos have been brilliant and have limited our loses to £4.50.They have also made sure it won’t happen in future.
I suggest others contact their provider to see if they are as good as Tesco.
