I NEVER signed up to anything and now I’m receiving texts telling me the Alerts are going to cost me £1.50 per message. Another Text Scam!!

Tw@s Just topped up my phoned to make an important phone call and you spam me text messages and take all my credit. Pathetic Tw@ts.

Had to set a zero cap as that was best recommended option from 02. not even been receiving all the texts just the odd one and realized it’s been going on since December. Think it happened when signing up for a secret Santa with work but texted STOP straight away didn’t realized they were still charging me number is even blocked

These people are scammers I clicked on them becouse I thought I was applying to being submitted into a Toyota Land Cruiser club scamming bas got my phone number and email by scamming me into thinking I was signing up to a club texting stop to 88222 does not work site does not exist dirty bottom feeding scum

I have just been scammed by this company. Thought I was signing into my5 and before I know it I've received text costing £1.50, one after another.
Pure scam

Scam scam scam, they have been taking money from my vulnerable elderly father, they have taken over £100, he never uses the internet and doesn’t know how, he never signed up for anything

Keep away from this company-they charge you £1.50 for every text they send to you, not what you sent to them. And they will keep sending these texts. If you get involved with them unsubscribe immediately, otherwise you’ll be paying hand over fist for something you don’t want.

Who takes notice of these reviews and takes action once a company has clearly been identified as setting up messaging scams to earn money at the expense of phone users.
Trustpilot is the perfect tool for identifying companies that need investigating, but who is? if any? the supporting bodies to deal with companies that operate in this way.
I've previously text STOP to 88222 after the first text message, bearing in mind I never signed up in the first place, but the text keep coming, so today I've gone onto the Stripey site and again tried to unsubscribe, so I'll see if it stops or not.
I've set up Zero Cap with my mobile network supplier O2, which appears to be the only way I personally can protect myself financially.
It shouldn't have to be this way, buy as I say, who is out there covering our backs from companies clearly taken advantage of an unprotected system?

As Antonio’s review 20th Jan payment via PayPal set up for £5-99 wk to this company. Don’t know how or why so far ripped of to tune of 25 pounds. This company needs taken to task. I can only think it was through going on to Royal Mail tracking site as mentioned in another review. I think I have stopped payments via PayPal. Hopefully! Cannot find way to claim money back. Do not have anything to do with this company, total scam! Embarrassed to have been caught out.

Terrible company fleece you with premium text that you never recieve charged approx 1.5 GBP per text.

Unauthorised texts sent to my phone as text but i couldnt see them. I found out when i received my bill. Each texts they send that i cannot see costs me £1.50. I have been touch with virgin mobile who inform me they cannot stop these texts. I have changed my phone number and got a new contract. THIS IS FRAUD AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO. I HAVE INFORMED THE OMBUDSMAN

I have no idea what this is but Stripey offers keeps texting me and has cost me £10 this month. I will be reporting as fraud!

Awful If u have an iPhone you can not reply stop to 88222 at least I could not but I opened messaging app and clicked on the icon top right put In the ‘to’ box 8822 and texted STOP and got a reply no more emails will be sent and have changed my cap to zero . May be elementary to most but may help someone as it took me all evening to work out what to do .

Complete and utter scam that dupes people into inadvertently signing up to having £1.50 STOLEN each time they send you an unsolicited "offer" text. Even costs money to try to stop these scum bags

Stop sending unwanted texts I have tried to deleat blocked the number and they still keep comming

I did not subscribe to this and yet got Charged
Given a number to ring to ask for refund be they are not answering.
This is a scam which should
be stopped it cost me £200
It texted line should be closed down..
It was from October to January..

Be aware when you join Stripey that you will pay £1.50 for each text they send you, whether you read it or not, which in my case was three times a month. I unwittingly joined, and feel I’ve been scammed. BE SURE TO READ ANY SMALL PRINT it will cost you up to £54 a year. I texted STOP to their number on 88222 today, and hopefully I’m free from this costly scheme.

Would put 1- if I could. I too unwittingly found that I had”joined” Stripey by looking at a Boots offer. Every time I got the text I replied STOP but the next month there was the text again. Disgusting.
Finally used website and unsubscribed and got sms confirmation.
This firm is coining money by doing nothing and should be prosecuted for fraud

I have been getting emails from Stripey which is a scam company. £1.50 being charged by text. I spoke to 02 who will not refund my loss of £10 which has come from Bauer Media Group. The more people that contact 02 the better as I feel they are part responsible.
You can either block all spend on your account apart from the subscription by phoning 02 on 202 or send the text STOP to the scam number being 88222. This must be in capital letters.

Shocking waiting to see if I get a refund,.?
