Was totally dupped into this. I thought I was completing a survey connected to Tesco and was immediately bombarded with texts from Stripey! Had no clue what had happened but soon realised roughly they were con merchants and I hadn’t signed up for this. Immediately sent STOP reply to one of their emails but as with everyone else have been charged £11 on my phone bill that I have just received. I never used this company and literally stopped as soon as I started to receive their emails. All emails sent to them was to stop the service before it even could begin but have been charged nicely for the privilege. They obviously only make their money this way and I’m sure no one agrees to want their service but still they make their money for Nothing!!! Hope karma comes their way

A PayPal weekly deduction of £5.99 set up.
No idea what this is for.
Stripeygiraffe is very unclear about what they are selling and on the PayPal forum, 45 other people had the same issue that I am having, money taken from account and nobody knows what it is for.

Filled out a from for another company and instantly got texts from StripyOffers, saying they were charging me £1.50 per text. I can't belive this is legal. It's probably not, but the owner will make loads until it is stopped.
THIS MUST BE STOPPED.

I kept getting texts off them , but didnt open them. Only to find I've been charged £1.50 for each text.
How can this company get away with this scam. From the reviews its happening to lots of people & they are still getting away with it.
Only way to stop it is to put a 0 cap on with provider. I've done this now with Tesco but takes a month to implement.
Hoping somebody can put a stop to this scam. Everyone is working hard to make ends meet & they are stealing money from innocent people.

Complete scam I noticed my Sky mobile monthly bill was double what it should be and when I enquired about it,it was to an 88222 number charging £1.50 per text but definitely didn’t knowingly subscribe to it. Contacted sky to inform them and try and get a refund but they kept saying oh you must have subscribed, I had to put a 0 cap on my mobile account to try to stop it. I also replied stop to the text to try and stop it. The scam came from stripy offers so beware this is a scam.

Scam, do not Click when it pops up. Do not enter your email and phone number. They will start texting you rubbish and charge £1.50 each text.
Don't fall into their scam.

Absolutely appalling way to scam honest people out of their hard earned cash! Noticed by 02 bill was more than twice the normal amount. Inquired via 02 what the charge was and it was Stripeyoffers. I am sure I did not deliberately join this, so feel it was hidden somewhere. to be fair to o2 they refunded the charges, but they only way they could stop this company taking money was to put a zero amount bar on my phone. That's great but means I can no longer sent a multi media message! I was unable to text "STOP" as they had blocked me replying to their text! It scares me to think how much money they are amassing from innocent people. Have tried to unsubscribe on their website - although it says it was successful, I do not trust this is correct. I already know there are another 3 charges to come on my next Bill, so hopefully o2 will also refund them.
Will be keeping a close eye on my bills moving forward

SCAM
Took £100 from my mobile account over 3 months by small £1.50 transactions.
It came through some interception through Asda Promotion.
No recourse as emails rejected.
Never ordered anything from them.

Worst gift for Christmas!
Was trying to log into job portal and assumed the number and pin was a part of the portal. Then tried unsubscribe both through website and call. Will see will they charge for this

In this day and age this kind of money making should be a punishable offence. Very inhuman way of conducting business. Why o2 allow this kind of scammers while innocent people go to providers such as O2 and all the rest. Hope someone stop this.

If you are reading this you have no doubt been scammed by this deplorable company. What you are wondering is 'how can I mitigate against it happening again?'.
First thing to do is save their phone no. To your phone, then put a block on it (easily done on your mobile).
Now contact Stripey and stop/cancel the scammey agreement made. They may ignore your communications but keep at it.
Next contact your mobile service provider. Tell them what happened, how you got scammed and they must put a stop to any payments to them, also to reinburse you the scammed charges you have. You have a good chance of reimbursement if its the first time it has happened.
Remember - Google have the resources to stop this! But why should they it is revenue generating!!!

How the hell are these scammers still operating??!! Why nobody is stopping them??

Thought I was answering a Sainsbury Customer review and found I had inadvertedly logged on to Stripey Giraffe. Within seconds I received 2 texts at £150 each

Scammed my mother with a convincing pop up on the ITVX registration screen. Instantly sent 3 texts totalling £4.50. Lied on text saying can send STOP to their no, but they’ve blocked it! Have to go to their website. Disgusting people, can’t believe this hasn’t been shut down yet.

BEWARE THIS IS A SCAM
I was trying to get my DPD parcel tracked and somehow was redirected to their phishing site. I’ve yet to see what the cost is going to be.

This number was provided by my phone provider Giffgaffe. I have phoned and unsubscribed and been given a ref number.

They have taken £4.50 from me within 24 hours.
I was actually signing up to Freecycle to list an ad. I believe this must have been a pop up whilst I was signing up so happily gave my email address and mobile number, then they had me.

Thieving scumbags, as if life isn’t hard enough for some people struggling with bills at the moment!!!

What a con,I was trying to log in to uktv on my phone when this banner came up and I assumed it was part of uktv. It cost me £1.50 to text stop.
