Response from tristate after letting them know about my current financial hardship and I am out of a job.

Please be advised that Tri State Financial is a loan servicing company. We do not cancel loans. You signed a legal and binding contract with Sundance Vacations when you were at their sales office. This is not a “service” with Sundance Vacations. You made a purchase of discounted vacations weeks. Again, we are not canceling your purchase, your contract with Sundance Vacations, or your loan balance with Tri State Financial.

Stay away from this company. They do not provide a good service and want you give away your hard earn money.

IT IS A SCAM. READ BEFORE GOING TO SHOW>> i just put 3 stars because i didnt get sucked in and had a pretty okay experience because they knew from the start that i was not going to budge. It was really just listening and DON’T GET ME WRONG THEY DO GET A LITTLE PUSHY but stand tall. A common excuse we as the person use is no money. But they just keep knocking the price down trying to get you to do it. I would say your best answer is “No sorry, We/I are/am not financially stable to commit to monthly payments” or “No sorry, We/I are/am not in a good financial position to make that monthly commitment” and you may have to repeat it a few times. I said it at least 4 so they will get it eventually. Another thing i want to mention is that at the end when we had to speak to the last guy (we had to speak to 3 different people trying to convince us , with cheaper prices each time, to sign up) and with the last person, he offered the cheapest price of all of $50 monthly payments. But the way it was worded something like “Would $50 be low enough to fit into your monthly budget” or “monthly payments” or something like that. And for me i will scream it loud and proud No I Do Not. I live paycheck to paycheck ain’t nobody got time for that. But for someone else who might be bit more self conscious about being on the poor side or living paycheck to paycheck might feel a little embarrassed to admit that they don’t have that extra money each month. Personally $50 is a lot because every dollar counts. But realistically $50 is barely anything so it might feel a little embarrassing to admit they don’t have that every month. So that right there would trick them into doing it out of humiliation. So just be aware of that. Don’t be ashamed. It is emotional manipulation lowkey, $50 is a lot when you don’t have it. So don’t let that intimidate you either. One final thing i want to mention that they mentioned to me that i am pretty positive i read about online. They were talking about the full price package being some big price like 20,000 or something. & then went on to try to relate and joke and say they understand no one has that kind of money. Etc. & they mentioned about a “Pre-Approved Budget Plan” and i had found online multiple videos and articles about being signed up for loans and some people not even knowing & only finding out when trying to cancel with sundance and being told they have to pay it because it is a loan and i want to think they are talking about being signed up for this “pre-approved budget plan” aka pre-approved loan that you can never get out of for $17,000-$20,000 & sundance just took it upon themselves to take the full amount. Would like to say the reason for the $17,000-$20,000 is because in the beginning (with the 1st of 3 people) we were told we had to put a down payment of 3,000 today and then monthly payments and in the case scenario where they actually tricked someone into putting that down right there , they would then only be signing for a $17,000 loan. On top of it starting at “$3,000 down payment today and $200 monthly payments” they changed the price 3-4 times. It ended at $50 monthly payments starting today. (As mentioned above) Thats it Lol. $3,000 down payment today with $200 monthly payments to no down payment & $80 monthly payment offer to then finally $50 and i’m sure if they thought a cheaper price would have convinced me they would have kept going. So Please Beware They Will Literally Do Anything To Take Your Money. I was only here to help my friend get her deposit back that she had to give when they had her sign up for this supposed “free vacation” without being pushed into buying anything. I will mention we did get the free vacation coupon thing but i’m not really trusting it. so Beware of this place. Its a whole big mess of a scam to just take your money. And they make so much money and have awards and “there books are good” (they said 🙄) because they make you sign up for these loans (YDK &) they take the full $20,000 & stick you with paying it off for who even knows how long. Truly Our experience wasn’t all to bad , my friend even said they weren’t as pushy as she thought But if i am going to be honest i really think it was because they knew i was not going to budge. They would ask and drop the price and i would say and then repeat myself “We are not in a financial position to make that monthly commitment “ it was obvious my answer wasn’t going to change. So i feel like they didnt push because they knew it wouldn’t do anything. Honestly by the end the fake niceties pretty much dropped because i had now repeated that phrase at least 4 times. My answer was not changing so they didnt waste their time. Go in with that mindset don’t get sucked in. Do a quick google search “Sundance Vacations Scam” & (should be under that search) “sundance vacations exposed yet AGAIN” is a video that should be seen. Research guys. Don’t trust it!

Back in the summer, I went to a fair with my family. Now it's December, and I get a call saying I’ve been selected for an 8-day, 7-night vacation anywhere I choose. I was excited but, naturally, skeptical. I went to their office in Parsippany, NJ, which looked nice, but as soon as I walked in, I knew exactly what was going on — a timeshare pitch. Although I was annoyed, I stayed polite because I still wanted the vacation and the tablet they promised.

The rep, who I won’t name, did her best to sell me on whatever they were offering, but I stood firm and declined. Fast forward a few days, and I visit the Odenza registration site. I was shocked to find that the resort I clicked on had a daily fee of $790! I called the number provided to clarify, and they confirmed that I would be paying per day during my stay. I laughed and explained that I was told this was a free vacation. The person on the phone corrected me, saying it was a “promotional vacation” — not free. They said I’d be responsible for $5,530 for 7 days!

I checked Booking.com, and of course, the same resort was cheaper. Sundance Vacations is a scam! They lure you into their office under false pretenses just to sell you a $30,000 timeshare or vacation club. Don’t be fooled. Stay informed, and don’t let them pressure you into anything.

Okay so, My girlfriend and i went to one of their long presentations on buying a $15k for 30 weeks of vacations. already we had a wierd feeling but rolled with the punches. after the presentation we sat with a sales rep to revisit the offer and we were not interested. but they kept trying to sell us alittle pushy but they acomodated our budget and gave us 3 weeks for $1200.00 just to try, i still felt odd about it but i took the risk. we paid and they told us about all the fees that we would be charged yearly so we were okay with that. Mind you, we came for a free week of vacation that we won but we traded it for2 additional weeks. once we got home we regreted it because we saw the few destinations they had and really some of them were ugly. we requested our free voucher back and they mailed it to me. Soon after we wanted to try a spot that they had in virginia. we were so worried it would be fake, where we would arrive and the hotel looks nothing like the picture. Once we arrived to the hotel and walked into our rooms we were blown away. it was really really nice. it was worth every penny! id suggest that if you can afford it then go for it. i wouldnt go for the 30 weeks because thats a huge investment but i would stick with a few weeks just to try it. i was able to take my friends and girlfriend to the spot and used up 2 weeks for 2 rooms and it was a blast!

I spoke with Tracy, who went around in circles and did not stick to one outcome. The whole time over the phone with her, she made me believe that she was scamming me. Needless to say, I did not go through with any booking! Furthermore, when I filled out a sheet with my information, I was told it was to win a target gift card, not scam me into spending money with Sundance vacations. Also, don't think that they are giving tablets away to each person that filled something out, got a call, and sat through a presentation, because that's untrue. Don't waste your time!

over 5 years on a vacation plan 10-1 week vacations for $5000 then one year into the plan they call me and tell me I have to start paying maintenance fees. in the 5 years I paid $1600 in maintenance fees total $6600.00. This was approx. 8 years and have not been able to get a vacation since. I told them my wife was from trinidad tobago. the sales woman said we have places in various places in the caribbean. cool we said. they also said they had places in niagra falls. after a long sales pitch we opted to pass.. the sales woman had the head rep. come over and offer me 10-1 week vacations for $5000.00
we agreed and set up the auto payment plan. the day we decided to visit trinidad. we called and was told they don`t have any places in trinidad. other parts of the caribbean but not trinidad. about a year later we have a 2 week vacation so we decided to visit niagra falls. called and was told they have a place there. wow cool, but hold on. she told us the house was about 3 hours from the falls. WHAT. really. drive 3 hours to see the falls eat and drive 3 hours back to a house with no amenities. the day is over and your stuck there. we declined. Called 15 times and not one time did they have something for us. Nothing in the area, some thing there but not available on the dates we need them. Smart ass reps talk to you on the phone and say there recording you. then ask you stupid questions and run you around in circles and waste your time and your out $6600.00 Have many bad reviews. we need to start a class action lawuit against them.

Awful company!!! Full of lies!!!!

We just took our third vacation with Sundance vacations and 3 for 3 they were not good! I would love to sell but now have a VIP and still not happy. The Sea and Breeze Beach Club in Tybee Island left a lot to be desired. The whole place was under renovations, as it needs it badly! The entire week was filled with construction workers all over the place. The unit itself was dirty and very noisy in the unit with all the work taking place. The pictures on the internet needs to be updated. We are very displeased with every place we have visited and did not stay the entire week in all three places.

Great location, great condo and great staff!

This so called condo with full kitchen does not look like the picture that interested me to buying the Sundance program the people really nice I purchase groceries and had to throw out my chicken and steak because I couldn't cook because there's no stove to cook the property look like garbage I swear to God a motel 6 would have been a better place

Excellent place!!! I would recommend it to anyone. We stayed at 2122 Clute Rd in 4R. Great location and very clean. There were plenty of thing to do with kids and friends such as the water park, pool, hot tub, adventure zone and skiiing. Our family is looking forward to going back:)

Not a terrific experience. We liked the view, the fact that it had a dishwasher, and 2 bedrooms. When we arrived, it was dusty and there were some cobwebs. We didn’t like that there was no place to have some quiet time away from each other to read or study. The bedrooms downstairs are very small and there’s no room for a chair to sit. The floor upstairs is very creaky Iand thin, so when you’re downstairs you hear every footstep, every conversation and even the conversations on the television. We actually left a day early because I needed to get some work done and was unable to accomplish that there. Many of the other condos have a cement pad in front for parking but 5D does not. It was a rainy week and it was extremely muddy. The garbage disposal did not work. We reset it, but that did not help. The towel bar in the upstairs bathroom kept falling off the wall. This was my first TAN vacation and I was a little disappointed. I hope others are better.

We had a wonderful time the property was very clean .There was so much to do we will come back in the future

The assistance I got booking was fabulous. I think there needs to be more choices of places to stay on islands. Totally honest with descriptions.

Very nice property but odd that we could only have 1 key so it was more difficult when we were not all together. Had to get information about the local restaurants. Security staff was very nice and made me feel safe.

I left two messages, three days later no one has called me back!!

I was not sure what to expect. This was our first time. The emails said one thing or the other was included and what was not. I was prepared, but got more than expected. The room was fully furnished with everything my family needed, minus food. Lol. I know that not many places will be like this, but this one gave me a great first impression. Loved it, loved it.

My first visit to a Sundance Property...and not very impressed. I was told the condo was on the beach..... not true! The condo is very old and was repainted....but a sloppy job! Kitchen cabinets are nice, but u cannot open one, cause the knob hits another drawer. Sofa has stains on it..... sliders are disgusting.....
desperately needs a paint job!
Bathrooms were remodeled nicely.
Security controlled entrance is awesome and the pools are great!
I usually stay in 5 star hotel....this is a 3 Star!!

When i did the tour for Sundance Vacations.. You spoke of Myrtle Beach Resort being amazing. Well, I'm currently staying at this resort and my entire experience here has not been good at all. I think you need to inform your guests that there isn't always a guarantee that you'll get the resort experience in all of the rooms. Don't talk highly of a resort that isn't impressive. The amenities said it was a queen size bed for 2 ppl, my bed was a full size. The bed was hard and uncomfortable for two ppl to sleep comfortably unless you're both really skinny. Average person is a size 10/12 for a woman or 34 for a man...
