Really poor service when it comes to making a claim, literally took weeks of me chasing them and they often sent me confused or contradictory information

Disappointing....
The insurance was very competitive and you can normally speak to someone on the phone without too long a wait. However, the measure of an insurance company is always when you need to claim. We had a small, simple claim put in and received at the end of September. Swinton acknowleged this via email and stated claims will be dealt with within 4 weeks. Despite several phone calls the claim is still outstanding as of the 4th November! I haven't had this issue with any of my other insurers. Safe to say I will not be renewing with Swinton. Disappointing.

Great customer service.
Called to renew my pets policy and was greeted by a very pleasant young woman, she explained all details clearly and was also chatty in a friendly way about my pet. All round great service!

Lucky if your claim is paid!
I was comprehensively insured through Swinton. I have a legitimate claim verified and submitted by our vet. The claim was lodged on 24th July.
It is now 30th August and I am still waiting to be paid out. E-mails are met with "We aim to reply within 3 - 5 days" - no reply addressing the problem.
I e-mailed Swinton instructing them not to automatically renew the policy - "We aim to..........".
Very poor service.
