From the start Jack was helpful in forwarding information video and photos of the 2 cars I was interred in, during the transaction I was abroad on holiday, however went smoothly. The car i decided on was promptly transferred from the Exeter depot, and prepared to high standard. Great service Jack well done.

Outstanding service from the team at Tangelo, its been a pleasure to buy a car from the team down in Plymouth , every step of the purchase was was such a smooth experience and I was looked after by Steve, over the years I’ve bought cars from dealerships throughout the country but never had the service given by Steve, because of that service I traveled almost 300 miles down the country for the car, I just want to say it was worth every single mile. Steve is an absolute credit to Tangelo and in the future id definitely consider buying my next car from Tangelo.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience purchasing a car from Tangelo.

The issues started before I had even collected the vehicle. The car was advertised and presented with Michelin tyres, but before collection these had been replaced with budget tyres. This was not what I expected when purchasing the vehicle and immediately raised concerns about the preparation of the car and the accuracy of what was being sold.

Shortly after collecting the vehicle, I noticed two chips in the windscreen positioned side by side. After carefully reviewing the videos taken before purchase and at collection, it is evident that the damage was already present before I bought the car. These were not minor cosmetic marks that could simply be repaired. I have since had the damage assessed by both Autoglass and a local independent garage, and both advised that the windscreen requires complete replacement. I reported the issue immediately, but I have still been left waiting for a resolution and have had to escalate the matter to The Motor Ombudsman.

The situation became even more concerning when I discovered that multiple direct debits had been set up from my bank account for warranty and car care products, resulting in duplicate payments being taken. I had not expected multiple payment arrangements to be established and was shocked to find my payments effectively doubled. I then had to spend my own time contacting the relevant companies to cancel the plans and request refunds. At the time of writing, I am still waiting for those refunds to be processed.

What should have been a straightforward vehicle purchase has instead involved repeated issues, additional stress, and significant time spent chasing resolutions. Between the substitution of the Michelin tyres for budget alternatives, the pre-existing windscreen damage requiring full replacement, and the duplicate direct debits, my confidence in Tangelo's sales and administration processes has been seriously undermined.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Tangelo. I hope the company takes these concerns seriously and improves its vehicle preparation, transparency, and customer service so that future customers do not have to go through a similar experience.

Excellent customer service from start to finish. Special shout out to Steve for helping us all the way. After our enquiry, Steve sent us a video of the car with him talking through the specs of the vehicle. When we called when the shop was closed, he immediately returned our call as soon as it opened.
