If there is anyone out there Thinking of buying Texecom Alarm System Please don't buy one. It is one of the worst system ever. I had it Installed and i got nothing except trouble from day one. Few days after the Warranty, the system completely packed up and was quoted dearer than the original price of installation. Complained to Texecom Technical and got told nothing they can do as its out of Warranty. The aftersales service from this company is appalling
This is my third and final review regarding my purchase of a Texecom Veritas 8 alarm panel. Further to my 2 earlier reviews on this site,-
I received panel NUMBER 5 recently from my retailer ( Superlec Direct ) who have been excellent throughout. Panel number 5 is installed, and appears to be working fine. Why on Earth it should take a customer to receive 5 panels, before you get one that actually works is a disgrace. I am delighted that Texecom don't make parachutes. I will not be buying any of their products in the future.
I bought texecom alarm system an online company. When I got the system there were no installation instructions and there was no indication of where I could get it either. I visited texe.com and found out that I had to register as a installer even though I was not a professional installer to download the instructions. Needless to say it was easy enough register with fictitious details and download. This sought of jobs worth approach that serves no purpose is disappointing and only frustrates customers. If Texecom do not wish to sell to end users they should publicise it and have better controls.
Poor quality product. Awful support, talk to you like you’re stupid, they really don’t like taking calls. In the end I advised customer to go with Honeywell.

Sent numerous emails regarding faulty psu issue , 72 hours still no reply .. absolute terrible customer service , 96 hrs now , forget the refund .Will advise others to steer clear , you should be ashamed of your aftercare
Having used texicom veritas for many years.but lately it gets more difficult to get technical advice.But today I had a problem and although eventually. I got through I would like to mention John who was excellent in solving the problem for me.👍👍Tony James JB alarms Stoke

Just bought and installed a Texecom Veritas 8. Superb, simple but totally effective.
Kit was good quality, instructions were very clear. Tech support was extremely helpful.

Any system is only as good as the back-up aftercare service offered by it's manufacturer.
A perfectly goods system is therefore rendered unfit for purpose by Texecom's decision to criminally under-resource their technnical helpline.
Last time I called I started at number 27 in the queue... ten minutes later I had progressed to 26! And this has been the pattern for years.
Completely and utterly unacceptable, and it shows a worrying level of contempt towards their end users.
As I said, the equipment itself is fine. It's the managment of this Company that needs an urgent overhaul.
I have bought alarm panels off this company almost since they entered the market many years ago and always recommended them . A recent purchase of the standard Veritas 8 together with the Keypad and a Premium PIR were all without installation manuals and user manual only for the Veritas 8. I went online to their website to get access and was then expected to fill in a form giving personal details to allow download ??!! A phone call to customer services after an argument they sent me a PDF which had to be printed out to use on site the PIR manual needed a very powerful magnifier. The pcb on the R8 panel had a fault bad quality control which I repaired to get the job done they are also still using the same crappy connectors in the panel and the instruction manual is terrible I tried to contact them and was number 15 in the queue ??!! Texecom has lost their way
my advice go elsewhere I definitely will be!!!!!
Had another issue with a switch in phone companies and dealt with T*n** who was also incredibly helpful. With engineers unavailable or unresponsive (why I left our last company) due to Covid, vacation, etc., technical support has made all the difference. And the mobile system itself is SO easy to use - light years ahead of the last system. The company continues to innovate and we have added something on with each annual engineering visit. Would honestly recommend to anyone.
Bought one of their systems for a customer, the instructions are really poor and the customer service totally unwilling to assist with bell box connections.
Simple answer, vote with your cash!
System returned for a full refund and buy a Pyronix system! Job done!
