Avoid at all costs.

If I could give zero stars I would. We purchased a very expensive rug and did not hear a THING about shipping for MONTHS. I have to connect with the original brand of rug in order to finally get it delivered. We’ve owned the rug for 4 months now and it is absolutely falling to shreds.

Zero follow up, zero customer service, zero accountability. Do not let this company ‘rebrand’ and open again.

Now You See Them, Now You Don’t

2.5 months, $562 paid and nothing to show for it - thanks, The Archive Place. I used to rave about this brand, purchased through them multiple times with no issues, even just a week or two prior to purchasing this rug. Now it appears they have houdinied both in presence and accountability. No contact that they were shutting their site down. No contact that refunds would (or wouldn’t) be enforced. No contact in response to my quieres months and months on… incredibly disappointing by an ‘Aussie’ owned company.

I’ve reached out via email and Instagram, although comments have been turned off their posts, conveniently. Reported to ACCC, I encourage all affected to do the same.

The Archive Place has archived its accountability

I have emailed the customer service email contact three times to try to return or exchange a pair of shorts that is too big and received no response at all. I now see the site / company has "paused operations" - leaving customers hanging. Extremely poor behaviour.

No response and no refund

Returned clothes that didn’t fit, they have been marked delivered with Australia post but I have not received any of my money back. They won’t respond to emails or Instagram messages. Unsure how else to contact.

No replies on emails after delivering my items for a refund

I returned two items via Express Post and sent several emails to check on my refund. Despite Australia Post showing that the parcel has been delivered, I haven't received a reply to my emails. I'm disappointed with this experience. If the items had fit me, I wouldn't be in this situation.

TheArchivePlace is no-longer reliable…

TheArchivePlace is no-longer reliable or honest.
I have emailed multiple times and received no response. They deducted a 6 month subscription from my credit card a month after my last purchase which was incorrect and over that month my emails have been ignored. I will open a fraud case with my Bank. There is no-longer a phone contact on their site.
A very dishonest way to end a shopping website!

Someone illegally charged my credit…

Someone illegally charged my credit card on a POS terminal belonging to this business. Emailed requests to reverse the transaction have been ignored. Will be filing police report.

Don’t buy from this company

Don’t buy from this company. Items weren’t suitable and I’ve sent 5 emails and 2 DMs to ask for help, with no response at all. Really disappointing. Do not recommend.

Zero customer service

I received my order and one of the items was faulty. Emailed them to ask for the procedures to return and hopefully get an exchange with photos and a video attached. Received an automated email saying that they’ll endeavor to reply in the next 1-2 business days. Haven’t heard back from them so sent them messages on Insta where they supposedly reply within an hour but still haven’t heard back. Great to get good quality items for less but not sure how they keep their customers if they can’t even reply to messages? Almost signed up to their membership. Glad I didn’t.

Have they shuttered?!

I'm pretty sure they've shut down and aren't informing customers?! i have purchased from them multiple times without issue but my last order from april i received an incorrect item - emailed several times about this with no reply. In the past it was dealt with immediately. I urge other customers to go through PayPal or their credit card for a refund. Instagram comments are off so something isn't right

Terrible customer service and refund policy

I have been waiting for my refund for several weeks and have followed up multiple times with customer support, but I have yet to receive a proper response. The lack of communication and action has been extremely disappointing. I am very upset by this entire experience and would appreciate an immediate update and resolution.

Update as of June 13 - I’ve attempted to contact them on their Instagram page and they’ve also stopped responding without resolution.

Still No Refund After 2 Months – No Response

I returned my order over 2 months ago, and Australia Post shows it was delivered to their warehouse. I’ve received no refund and absolutely no response despite contacting them multiple times via email, Instagram, and Facebook. It also cost me $20 to return the item.

Really disappointing experience. Would not recommend.

No order received and no response

I placed an order over a month ago, I was emailed from one of the brands that one of my items was unavailable and I would be refunded, the other half of the order from another brand doesn't appear to have ever been shipped. I've emailed the customer service a number of times to ask about my order, they have never responded to me and I havn't received any refunds.

I would share with others interested in my experience with The Archive Place, I am terribly disappointed not to have not enjoyed my purchases I understand expectations on delivery times and prompt responses to customers queries vary. i cannot comment impartially so I will say three stars is fair.

Terrific Customer Service

The customer service at The Archive Place is among the best I have experienced. After my returns went missing and their emails not finding my inbox, a super employee - Monique - contacted me using her personal email and after much searching by both of us she was abe to find my returns in a quarantine bin and process my refund. Above and beyond effort. Would shop here again knowing they look after their customers so well - even those returning items!

Misled on shipping timeframes

My package has been 'pending border clearance' for a few days now.

Contacted the customer services desk, as I'd expected the package to arrive at the timeframe specified on website of 5-7 business days - which it did not, in fairness it was the 6th business day. They were unhelpful about the last shipping update when I referred to no updates in a couple of days the response I received was less than 48 hours ago(pointless to be snarky about that).Then proceeded to tell me to track it via NZ Post.

Contacted NZ Post. Because its made no movements since the 'pending border clearance' status now after 3 days - they're unable to provide an ETA until released from customs. This can be another 2-10 business days with processing through to NZ Post and as its economy - the package will take an additional 2-3 days for it to be processed. Totalling a potential 15 working days - 3 weeks, on top of 7 business days, to receive 2 items.

Was charged $23NZD for shipping, which is quite pricey for economy international shipping.

Needed the 1 of 2 of the items to take on an business trip. Now going to spend more money to resolve my issue.

Lovely clothing, great price point for quality brands but poor comms about why its stuck at pending border clearance.

In future, it may be worth under promising delivery time frames and over delivering if it arrives sooner.

If I'd have known, I wouldn't have bought from here for a trip that was a week and 4 days away.

Our estimate delivery timeframe is based on what was given to us by the carrier and 99% of the parcels are delivered within the given timeframe. However, occassionally there might be a parcel that get held up by customs adding unexpected delays, which are unfortunately beyond the control of both the carrier and ourselves.

That said, we do appreciate your feedback about setting longer delivery windows to account for these rare delays from custom heldup. It’s great feedback, and we’re always looking to improve the experience.

If you urgently need something, we'd also suggest to use our Express shipping options in the future just to be safe.

Ordered a rug from here

Ordered a rug from here. Website stated it would take about 2 months. Rug arrived within that time frame- really great quality, thick rug. Would definitely recommend.
