"The Vault" Total Scam

I just received my order for "The Vault" Bourbon Mystery Box and am very disappointed. This subscription was advertised as having a minimum value of $900. However, I priced out the bottles at my local liquor store, all of which were in stock, and the total retail value comes to only $730.
Including shipping, I paid $860 for this shipment. Basically overpaid $130 for nothing special, not to mention I already have 3/4 of these bottles. Here is the breakdown of the bottles received and their retail pricing, and I matched it online as well:

- Woodford Double Double: $170
- Angel's Envy Cask 2025: $250
- Weller Full Proof: $140
- E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof: $170

Furthermore, I also noticed that each of these bottles is listed under the "clearance" section on their retail site, bundled with other bottles. It looks like they are using these boxes to get rid of the bottles they have difficulty selling.

Skip Bourbon Central

Placed a few orders that were seamless until:
1. Received a bottle of Doc Holliday Sherry Cask bourbon and when the bottle arrived the plastic and cap slid easily off the top of the bottle. The bourbon tasted like turpentine and was thrown away. I received no response from their customer service regarding the order.
2. Ordered a bottle of Star Hill American Wheat Whiskey on June 18, 226. Confirmation for shipping with tracking on June 20. For some reason these orders do not show anything but the tracking number in my UPS app. On July 3rd it said the bottle had been delivered to a UPS store in Minnesota, I live in Arizona. I immediately requested UPS to look into it, and emailed Bourbon Central. They responded on July 5 (Sunday, right?) via email that I was able to either wait, or cancel. I replied to cancel, and had no response. On July 9 I contacted UPS who told me they never received the package. I called Bourbon Central in the morning of July 10, and spoke to a woman who said she’d call me back. When I called 30 minutes before close same day I spoke to two reps, the second said they could cancel. As of now I have NOT received a cancellation email, or refund, and will file a fraud claim after the weekend. The risk is yours ordering here, it may be great, but when it’s not it feels like a scam. Their customer service is non-existent.

Terrible Company! Not only does the company charge way…

Not only does the company charge way above market for the product, including one of the higher secondary markets, they have terrible business practices and absolutely awful customer service. Do NOT trust their shipping. I chose them due to the fact that I could choose 2 day air and it still arrive a few days before Fathers Day. That did not happen and it has ruined Fathers Day. Not only that, they didn’t even follow up, try to notify me, didn’t respond immediately, anything. My package was to go out Wednesday at the latest, for it to be here by Friday. It was not even in fedex’s possession until Friday and is still sitting in NJ. Not only did they not drop it off, not attempt anything with FedEx, they also did not notify me and did not care when I had to follow up. I will NEVER use them again. Especially with how big the market is. I chose them because of the reviews & the ability to have it in here on time. Clearly is not the case. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. This business should not be trusted. They took my order for something they didn’t have in stock I paid $50 for 2 day shipping to arrive on time for Father’s Day. They don’t answer emails. They refunded me after I called several times. Still waiting on it!

ordered mystery box and delivered in 11…

ordered mystery box and delivered in 11 days. wrapped in air pocket wrapped and very confident it could nor be be damaged. No heavy hitters but got 2 bottles from major brands but haven't tried before and 2 bottles never heard of but the quality was excellent. thanks for expanding my bourbon palate.

Bought a bottle for a gift for a friend…

Bought a bottle for a gift for a friend and still haven't been shipped. It's a high value bottle. No email respond or shipping information. It's been over a week now. I already started a dispute. Stay away. This place is not legit.

Avoid this seller at all costs

This company has the worst customer service and communication of any company I’ve ever dealt with. I had to send 10 emails over a two week period as well as leave four messages and over a dozen phone calls before I ever got a response with repeated promises that my order would be fulfilled. It was finally canceled after almost a month of waiting. I don’t leave many reviews, but this company is so bad that I felt obligated to to try to help others avoid my frustration and headache. The only way I got my money back was to dispute it with my credit card company.

Poor packaging, awful customer service, refund refusal

Poor packaging led to my wine order being undeliverable. I placed my order in September, and emailed the company when I was told it couldn’t be delivered. They apologized and promised to resend my order with improved packaging. This never happened. When I called in December, I was told they needed 2-3 days to sort it out. I never heard back. A few days ago, I emailed and called again. Still no response. I called again today. Again, was told they needed 2-3 days. I requested a supervisor and when things got heated after he repeatedly talked over me, he became flustered and said he’d just issued the refund. The refund that he’d told me moments before that he couldn’t issue for 2-3 days. Buyer beware. Unfortunately, since the original order 4 months ago, my wallet has been stolen. When I requested that he mail me a check instead of refunding my card, he refused. I’m out the money. Never received the wine.

I can't do more than to validate everything that others have stated, many times. This company should be banned from business, scam is a polite expression, they are nothing more than thieves...simple as that. I wish there was a way we could warn everyone out there that they are terrible.

Scam foreign company

This place is toxic. They are a foreign country trying to make you believe your getting good bourbon. I have had a horrible issue with them right off the get go. They sent me 2 bottles of bourbon instead of 3 and then claimed one was 10 year and a whisle pig. What I got was buffalo trace and a whisle pig. When you call They just want you to dispute it with your credit card company and move on. Now where this get very fraudulent is They sent one of my friends 3 bottles and he got a whisle pic , Taylor's and a RD one. The RD one lable looked off just like the whisle pig bottle. We tried it and it tasted like Jack Daniels. Lol. After looking into it further you can tell they are repackaging cheap whiskey into fake bottles to save money. If you don't believe me call them and talk to them. You will see they make you feel uneasy and worried from the start. They are hiding things and dont care about the product or the customer. They only care about the dollar.

Stay away!!!!!!! Foreign company taking advantage of Americans.

Not of Value

The bourbon mystery box is supposed to exceed the value paid (i.e. pay 300 and get 325 in value). However, the three bottles I received equate to 200 dollars max.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

I placed an order on November 29. Although their website claims they ship all orders within 48 hours, they still have not shipped mine. After numerous attempts to reach the company, they tell me the product I ordered is no longer available. This may be the WORST COMPANY EVER! Avoid ordering from them.

These people are scam artists

These people are scam artists. I placed an order almost a month ago and nothing. I've emailed 4 times and they answered my second message 3 weeks ago saying it is on the way. They still won't respond and I still don't have any product. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Misleading website and terrible customer service.

I ordered 4 bottles of Oban Distillers Edition 2021 on August 29, 2025. Prior to placing my order, I spoke with a representative of Bourbon Central who specifically confirmed it had Oban Distillers Edition 2021 in stock, as depicted on its website. My order arrived yesterday and it was grossly inaccurate. I am currently seeking to return the erroneous order and receive a refund.

Incompetent & scammy

Incompetent & scammy. TLDR - stay away.

They sent me a shipment via UPS, I wasn't home so they redirected it to a UPS store in a town 45 minutes away from me. Multiple emails and chats asking to redeliver went unanswered. After a few days UPS returned the package to them. Still no communication from them letting me know what's happening. After I email them for the 5th time, they say that they received the package back and are taking a "30% restocking fee".

Never seen this level of incompetence and stupid greed in one place.
