For my second session with Career Coach, I was shown how to setup my LinkedIn profile in a more professional manner. He pointed out a few tweaks and "hacks" that would make my profile more visible to recruiters and potential employers. I'm really chuffed with the course so far.

I joined The Career Coach a week ago, and so far, I’ve had two sessions — one focused on improving my CV and the other on optimizing my LinkedIn profile. Both sessions have been really valuable. My coach has been very helpful, not just during the sessions but also whenever I’ve reached out via email with doubts — he always responds with clear answers and practical solutions.

It’s still too early to give a full opinion, but based on my experience so far, I’m optimistic about the journey ahead. With their guidance, I’m confident I was able to enhance my professional profile and take steps toward securing a job.

I joined The Career Coach less than a week ago, so I’m still in the early stages of the process. So far, I’ve had one conversation with my coach, and they have been helping me improve my CV with personalized feedback. I look forward to receiving more feedback and continuing the journey to enhance my professional profile. It’s too early to give a full opinion, but I’m optimistic about the progress!

I took a Job Seeker package from them this year for 600 as I struggled to land a job in the UK market and was looking for specifics. This has never happened to me before, with my 15+ years in IT. I landed a job using only 2 sessions with the coach out of 4, but this is not due to their help or valuable insights.

Where do I start....
1. The questionnaire you start your journey with is good and detailed. But what is the point if, as a result, I was matched with a person based in the US and not directly related to my area? I know the US market and explicitly mentioned that I am taking the course to get UK specifics.

2. Based on the above, I asked to change the person and got another one. The girl I spoke on the phone about was not interested at all in resolving the issue. She was reading some clumsy script, trying to get me out of her hands as fast as possible.

3. The Video course you get "smells" like telemarketing from the 90th and is a total waste of time. The only useful thing I got from their materials was a single-column CV template.

4. The CV and LinkedIn profile analyzer is far from good. I tried it a few times, but it was slow and less effective than the one I found on my own as a separate service (you can see the name in my other reviews). Their CV analyzer is very slow, and the suggestions are not helpful.

5. The first coaching session I had was "Get to Know Me," which was a pleasant conversation, no more nor less. The second one involved me practicing my interview pitch, which I had prepared on my own for one of the interviews I had scheduled.

6. The LinkedIn profile and CV advice I received were general, and you can Google them for free, really.

The bottom line is poor Value for money spent.

Martin helped me with the dredded interview prep, I always found it very difficult to talk about myself in a correct and confident way to resonate my experiences, qualities and personal traits during interviews for the jobs that I desired.

My experience with The Career Coach has been quite disappointing, especially considering the high cost of their services (£600).

What they offer is extremely basic: CV and cover letter templates, general LinkedIn advice (which you have to implement yourself), and preparation for non-technical interviews. For professionals in specialized fields like engineering, their services are particularly limited, as the assigned coaches, while friendly, lack the technical knowledge required to provide useful guidance for technical interviews.

Despite working with them for 6 months, I was unable to secure any position. The company has no business connections nor offers any added value beyond what one could find in free online resources. Additionally, I experienced issues with unauthorized additional charges to my account.

The most concerning aspect is the value for money. The £600 fee is excessive for the basic services they provide, especially considering they offer no specialized support or network of contacts to facilitate job searching.

I do not recommend their services, particularly to technical professionals seeking specialized guidance in their field. There are better alternatives available that offer greater value for a fraction of the cost.

Janette is really helpful and gives good advice. She makes everyone comfortable and answers all the questions which fulfils the need for this programme.
