Fantastic customer service

I recently got in touch with Robert needing help with changing the time on a clock that I recently purchased. After a short time Robert got back to me and he had gone out of his way to contact the supplier for advice on how to fix it. He also provided an alternative compensation if the clock couldn't be accessed which was appreciated but thankfully not needed.
I would 100% recommend shopping with this company.

Outstanding customer service

Robert went above and beyond to enable me to purchase matching furniture items. Tracked stock and listed on website so I could secure and held other item to ensure delivery together.
Was kept informed on progress and as Item ended up in stock sooner than expected was asked to select a convenient delivery date.
Followed up to ensure I was happy with everything once received.

Awful Customer Service - Consumer Rights Ignored: Buyer Beware

I disputed the quality of a wooden console table on the day I took delivery, as it had a prominent defect on the table’s top surface. Instead of addressing my concerns directly, the seller initially tried to pass the problem onto their supplier, who proposed charging a £60 courier fee and a 30% restocking fee for the return.

When I reminded the seller that my purchase contract was with them, not their supplier, they refused to issue a replacement—even though their website showed more than 20 tables in stock. Instead, they insisted I return the item at my own expense and pay a 10% restocking fee, which I believe is both unfair and contrary to consumer rights.

This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. I wish I had looked at reviews before purchasing and chosen a company with a stronger commitment to customer service and product quality. I cannot recommend this seller based on my experience.

This customer did send image of a rough knot in the wood which he found unacceptable and did so in a very timely fashion. Under these circumstances we would always request that the item be returned in the original packing for a full refund. Unfortunately, the original packing had been discarded rather too quickly.
We sent the image of the knot to the supplier for their view so that we could support our customer with their request. The supplier said that this was a rustic product and the 20 in stock were of similar quality and advised that the product would best be returned for a full credit. The best they could offer was to video the condition of the replacement which the customer could accept or return for credit. Any charge from the supplier would not have been passed to our customer.
The customer was advised to package the unacceptable console in adequate packaging for the rigours of a courier return, such that a decision on a replacement or full refund could be considered when a video was received. This is how the issue was left and to date the product has not been returned.

Excellent Service

I ordered a revolving wooden bar stool. Unfortunately there was an issue and it had to be returned. This was dealt with efficiently from first phone call through collection and redelivery. Robert kept me updated at all times by e-mail. I am very pleased with the stool and highly recommend both the product and The Home Market. An example of a company who care and provide excellent customer service.

Super customer service

Bought 2 sets of two collapsible water bottles. They were well and securely packaged, and the bottles are of excellent quality. However, only 1 set (2 bottles) arrived. My email to the fact was promptly replied to by return and another email followed to say that the items have been packed and will be shipped shortly. Mistakes happen but how they are dealt with is the mark of a first class retail experience.

Thank you for taking the trouble to send a review. It is always good to see where we may improve. In our reply, which is attached, you will see that we asked about the exterior bubble wrap as we also noticed that the carton was torn. The product was unwrapped, inspected and re-wrapped in bubble wrap. Quality control saw no damage on the product, and believed it represented good value for the price. I asked them to comment on the damage, and they said that they are yet to see any images of product damage. They also said that the product could have been sent back in the same wrapping for a full refund if dissatisfied. We will continue to keep an active eye on the quality to cost ratio and our delicate packing department.

Was the bubble wrap damaged? If you wish to return the console, you just re-package in the wrap as it arrived, and take an image of it wrapped ready for return. Then send us an image and we'll get approval by the courier.

If you get a chance please check your sizes and I'll get stores to check our stock. Then, if necessary, I can get the site checked and modified. If you need them bigger, if you return the black and white ones, I can check to see if there are larger ones to suit your needs. I'll get back to you when this has been checked.

The sizes on site have been checked and they are correct to the site dimensions at 200mm. If you send them back we will refund. I can then show you tins at 500mm if that is nearer the size you were after. Let me know.

Excellent items received in excellent packaging

I ordered four items that where all made of glass and i was worried they would arrive with at least one broken however, i had absolutely nothing to worry about as when i received them, they where so well packaged and protected .
The items are absolutely beautiful .
