Thelightuphub Avis

Was stuck getting 7s in English Literature and 7/8s in Language. Started using Lightuphub and was getting consistent 9s in language and high 8s and 9s in lit. In my GCSE results i got 2 9s and 3 marks away from full marks for lit! Could not recommend more!!!!!

Thank you so much!! I went from a grade 3 in english literature and language at the start of year 11 and went up to a grade 6 and 7. The videos and tests on the Light up Hub website helped me so much. I’m so grateful for your help and pleased with my results!

Over the 2 year course of GCSE english i thought it was impossible to achieve higher than a grade 5, i did everything my teachers told me to do and thought i done my best but it would always come back as a 5. For my gcses, i revised using the light up hub tik tok and youtube account and managed to get a grade 8- and was 2 marks away from a nine!! I would definitely recommend

I got the light up hub in year 10 as i had missed almost the whole school year meaning all my english lessons and needed a way to catch up, so i learnt a lot of the texts from scratch on the website, and understood and felt so much more confident with them going into my exams. i never knew how to revise for language but the structures helped massively (same for lit)! i came out with two 6’s after all the time i missed too which i was so happy with! highly recommend to anyone, there are videos, quizzes and last minute revision too, which were all invaluable.

I started using the light up hub as I had missed all of year 8,9 and most of year 10 and 11 due to my mental health and autism. When I started using The light up hub I didn’t know anything about gcse English language and literature. With hardly any lessons at school I managed to achieve a 4 in both English language and literature by using The light up hub to help me revise and teach me the content I had missed. I found the light up hub very helpful for remembering quotes and techniques that without the light up hub I wouldn’t have known to use. With essentially only the Light up hub I managed to pass gcse English language and literature while having missed all of year 8,9 and the majority of year 10 and 11! ❤️

*Would totally recommend*

I started the courses in January after failing English language in my mocks after a horrific narrative. I then achieved a grade six in March with a seven following as my final grade. The course ids good because it make the aspect of English as simple as possible but makes it so engaging that you can achieve high grades from learning how to analyse properly and thoroughly.

Went from a 3 in literature to a 7 with 7 marks of an 8. And went from a 2 in language to a 7 also with 2 marks of an 8!

this is so helpful!!! was stuck at grade 7s all through year 11 for english literature, and truly couldn’t see myself improving for my actual gcses. came out with a grade 9 and full marks in paper 1 🥹 the quotes and analysis the website gives are very thorough and the videos explain techniques on how to analyse quotes fully and in depth. The last minute revision tool where you can get feedback on your paragraphs was super useful as well, as it tells you your strongest and weakest areas to improve on. would recommend !

The Lightup hub truly is like magic! After recieving 6s and 7s I ended up with an 8 in language and 157/160 in English literature. The short but consice video style as well as summary points are like no other resource online. I really believe that the Lightuphub really made me stand out and allowed me to get such amazing results.

Honestly it just made my revision so much easier!! I made flashcards using the grade 9 analysis and it was so convenient to just have it there, however there are some bugs in the website and errors like having a quote with the analysis for another quote which made it confusing at times. Overall, if i was doing English again for gcse i would def use this website as it gave my revision a structure. Thankyou so much, just fixing the errors would make the site 10x better.

I always struggled with english, literature especially. I would constantly get sixes in mocks and thought that was it. However, I came out with a 9 in english literature (getting 158/160) which was so unexpected and couldn’t be possible without the lightup hub hence I strongly recommend it. What i would do is write down analysis onto flashcards and blurt out the information everyday, basically memorising it. Genuinely the WOW ideas saved me and I fully believe that it is worth it. BTW I only got it 3 months before exams started.

All I can say is wow you have seriously turned this around for me. I went from a 2 to a 6 and went from a 5 to an. 8 . Use this opportunity and get the best grade you can achieve it doesnt matter if your target is low you can always overcome anything if you really put your heart and mind into it. Light up hub has truly made me believe in myself and my results speaks for itself

Before I got the hub I was at a 7 in both English’s. And on my mocks I was still getting 7’s so for my actual exams I locked in. I found the analysis the most helpful as it used this sophisticated style in my own writing. Furthermore I think the wows pushed my writing that extra mile. Her videos especially for language were very helpful and the last minute course with the essay marking feature was also great. On my GCSEs I managed to get a 9 in lit and I actually managed 159/160 which is crazy and all thanks to the hub after achieving around 120 on my mocks and then in language I received an 8 which will hopefully become a 9 when I remark. So overall I wholeheartedly recommend this website it takes a lot of time and effort to get the value out of it but it is the easiest and best way to boost your English grade. 🤗🥳

This saved my GCSEs. I would constantly find myself struggling what to revise for english, my teacher really disliked me and would give me extremely low expectations- predicting me 4s and 5s when i know i can achieve higher. Using this app for only one month through my gcses got me a 7 in lang (told i would get a 4 and i have never gotten above a 5 in a paper) and a 8 in lit with 2 marks off a 9 (when i have gotten 5 and 6s on papers). This is amazing!!! It has everything you need and nothing that wastes your time.

Amazing went from a 5 to 8 in english literature and only has been using light up hub for 1month!

I’ve just had my results day, and after getting 6s in both of my English Lit and language mocks in year 10 I really wanted to improve! Today, I opened my results and to my surprise I got a 7 in Lang and a 9 in Lit with full marks on paper 1!! I’m genuinely so so happy! Please get this as it will help you so much. The way I used it was I’d make flashcards with the quotes and analysis at the back then i’d summarise and pre learn them, then apply in the exams which worked wonders for me, please don’t wait until year 11 like me to get it and get it way before as it genuinely helps so much, especially with vocab and just general understanding of the books and exams. Thank you!!

Lightuphub saved my English. I started on a Grade 5/6 for lit and after using the Lightuphub i got an 8, 2 marks away from a 9, i got 64 on paper 1, this site was so incredibly useful to help me revise and very easy to use and student friendly, i would recommend to younger years.

The lightuphub is amazing!!!! ‼️‼️

Started 3 months before my GCSE’s as a student predicted grade 6 for both English Lit & English Language. Ended up getting grade 9in both!!!!
I took out a subscription and found the videos really helpful in simply explaining plot, character and key themes. The thing that made the biggest difference were the WOW facts provided for each book.
Also in the final weeks when I was feeling overwhelmed with information, I just focused on the key quotes and their analysis which I think helped me to focus on the main points. I would highly recommend you give the LightUp Hib a go and see if the content explanation and presentations work for you.

used the night before my english exams and went from a 55 to a 76!! amazing
