The Lockdown Kitchen Avis 

SCAM SCAM SCAM. Honest the most awful experience. I have reported them to google and Paypal. I have sent them 9 emails and none been answered - they don't provide a phone number. I have emailed them saying I have reported them so hopefully these stupid scammers business will be shut down

It’s been 4 weeks and the tracking system said they haven’t even begun to process the other - and it is yet to start being shipped over from China. You can’t fob people off by saying “in our FAQs it says it might take longer because of covid” and then take literally months longer than advertised. I don’t imagine I will ever get it.

Along with many other customers who have ordered from this "company" i have not received the item i paid for. Nor have they replied to numerous emails I have sent them. They have now blocked me from making any contact with them whatsoever. I have reported them to Citizens Advice and Action Fraud. I will be further reporting them to my bank today. Unless you have money to throw away I would strongly advise you keep well away from these people. It's a complete scam.

I Think This Is A Scam
Ordered 31/08/2020. No confirmation, so no order number. Good not arrived. My card was charged immediately. Emailed the company on their info email address.
They replied they can’t help without an order number.
Do not recommend. Thank goodness I paid on a credit card.

Awful. Ordered 20th August, no sign of my order. Company does not respond to emails. It’s a scam company. They have my money but cannot get through to anyone to request a refund. Do not use

Ordered on the 23rd of august2020 it is now 15th of September 4e mails sent to company still nothing has arrived to me it’s nothing but a scam

Never buy from them. Never received the order. No reply to emails. And 1st confirmation order arrived in spam!!! No further comments
I just called my bank to make a claim on my payment so hopefully I get my money back.
A total shame

Disgusting! Took my money and never contacted me again, despite numerous emails and PMs, comments on their FB page! Ordered goods on 17th August 2020 had confirmation but nothing regarding any despatched goods. Complained to FB, now trying to get money back through credit card. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Utensil pot ordered on 12th August with a two week delivery. We are now over 3 weeks on and no utensil pot to be seen. When I emailed an automated email is sent with a link to track your order - guess what - still at Order Placed stage. Despite emailing them again I have had no response. In the process of reporting them to PayPal - although this goes to the seller in the first instance (not holding my breadth)! I wish I had read the reviews on Trustpilot before I purchased :-(

Do not buy anything from this company!! Order doesn’t arrive and then they do not respond to e mails. I’m getting on to pay pal right now.

I would not even give this company a 1 star ⭐️ as they have not sent my item, have not replied with a satisfactory message back and I have not had my money returned. They have basically kept hold of my money and refused to reply to several emails. It’s now with the bank and trading standards

Incorrect item sent, wrong colour, no design on the pot, cheap and nasty!!! Would only send a refund if I paid the return postage!!! Do NOT Order, Items are cheap!!!!

Buying experience was poor at best, not confirmation email of order placed or shipping, no tracking details either. Had to contact customer services just to see if the order was placed. Shipping takes two weeks and in the meantime you are in the dark, I started thinking it was a scam. Product finally arrived (tools set for the kitchen) and it was as advertised but yet not quite... jet-black colour turned out to be more washed off grey, quality is not good, definitely not worth the price and package came damaged. The only reason why I don’t return is A) I don’t trust the company B) I can’t be bothered to deal with them again. Would not recommend and won’t buy again

Ordered a utensil set from them and received the item after 3 weeks. Despite calling themselves a UK company, the items actually ship from China, and this isn’t made clear when placing the order.

The item arrived poorly packaged, in a plastic envelope secured with some tape at the sides. The box containing the product was damaged.

On opening the box, I found the the utensil holder looked different to the one shown on their website. When I went back to the website to read reviews to see if I was the only one who reported this, I found that there were only 5 star reviews, so that raised my suspicion.

On Facebook, I posted a comment under an ad for them asking why my product looked different than the picture (I noticed them replying to other people). My comment was deleted after no more than 10 minutes. So I sent them a Facebook message, where I received an automated response saying to check their website or else email. So I sent an email to them along with pictures, expressing my disappointment with the appearance of my product, and again received an automated response saying that my questions can be answered via the FAQs on their website (they cannot). So I’m not expecting to hear anything else back from them.

I will advise anyone to avoid using them at all costs, the product is overpriced for the quality, and it’s not worth the wait for the shipping either. Their customer service is also terrible. Their Facebook page doesn’t have a Review section, doesn’t allow photos in the comments, and I highly distrust a company that silences customers by deleting comments that criticise them instead of addressing them. They have now since stopped me from being able to comment on any of their posts.

I was shocked to see them selling items at a considerably higher price than elsewhere and when stating this I was sent a private message by someone working/owning the company telling me to "read the FAQs and get lost!" I was then blocked and my comments removed. This makes me wonder what other negative feedback is removed... Hardly seems a trustworthy company if they aren't transparent in their feedback from customers.

Their FAQs try to justify their higher prices by stating they pay their staff and treat their staff better than Amazon (bordering on slander, surely?) - well that's debatable, especially as the warehouses in China that make and distribute their stock aren't treated any differently whether Amazon or The Lockdown Kitchen source these products. Also your "evidence" is based on Amazon US. Not Amazon UK.

2 week delivery delay (using covid-19 as an excuse) with occasional VAT payment required... sounds suspiciously like it's being delivered direct from China, no? So how exactly are people supporting British businesses again?

Anyhow - Incredibly unprofessional to direct message me so rudely. Also, why delete comments from the potential consumer if you think you can justify their concerns? Surely you should address them in a professional manner.

To the idiot who cowardly messaged and then blocked me (is this a better description than giving your name or job title?) - brush up your customer relation skills!
