I've been wanting to get Lions Mane for years so purchasing from The Mushroom Barn was convenient (I'm not a grower so buying the mushroom in a bag to grow at home is noy option for me)

Top quality Lions Mane arrived this afternoon via the FREE delivery by DPD. 1kg for £35 is excellent value
according to those who responded to my social media post sharing my buy and who order elsewhere for considerably more.

Once I monitor how quickly this disappears, I'll be saving even more by having a subscription.

I can highly recommend The Mushroom Barn to anyone wanting top quality fresh British mushrooms with a low carbon footprint, no pesticides or chemical nasties and who want the very elusive, succulent and meaty Lions Mane.

I’m WELL pleased with my lions mane. I’ve never eaten it before so I don’t have anything to compare it to but it was bloody delicious! I’m having to stop myself eating the whole 500g in one sitting because I know that’s a bad idea lol 😂 will order again.

Another Honest Review: I received my Lions Mane mushrooms in good time and in good condition- no complaints there.
Twenty quid is quite a lot to spend on such an item...and which incidentally can be bought at Sainsbury's for considerably less... but trusting to the advert I thought it would be a treat so why not.
The contents of the box however looked "light" with just 2 florets of mushroom. So out of curiosity i weighed them....and they were 445grams.
Give that the advertised goods were for 500 grams I, quite rightly I think, felt quite cheated at losing just over 10% of my entitlement.
So I posted a gentle email suggesting this was quite wrong and asking for their comments...
I was a little more than disgusted with their nonchalant dismissive reply and he explained that " mushrooms are high water content and this loss falls within their expectations "! But thanking me anyway for making them aware.! No apology or anything or suggestion of repair.
The point here is IF they DO lose 10% in transit ( which im sure they don't as the packaging was dry) then they themselves should compensate for that by increasing the weight by 10% before despatch. ( A Bakers Dozen comes to mind)
Either that or make it clear in their advert that some weight loss is expected due to evaporation.
Without either of those, in my own opinion, they have contravened the sale of goods acts and should be made to account for this by Trading Standards.
From the other negative review, I gather that proper customer relations come difficult to this firm...and clearly they missed the memo about social courtesy.
Needless to say I will steer well clear of them in future.

The mushrooms were delectable. If you are doing lions main you have to dry first, a lot of moisture. A little butter, a little garlic salt, a bit of soy…honestly, delicious. Lions main. Shitaki wow freshest ever. I’m growing my own now because how can you not, it takes a while (I see a purchase soon) xxx

I've ordered mushrooms from this company twice and both times I was very happy with the quality of the mushrooms. I've received a bit more than I ordered so I think I got a good value for money. The first time I had to wait a few days longer than estimated, however the second time I got the mushrooms within a couple of days. I will definitively buy again from them

I've ordered the fresh Lion's Mane twice now and I've received the freshest, most delicious looking and smelling mushrooms I've ever seen. And they tasted how they looked - absolutely delicious, savoury, umami, meaty. I haven't yet been able to find fresh lion's mane from anyone else so thank you for these.

Honest review: we love mushrooms, but these were a real disappointment, they certainly do not sear like a steak, they are mushy and not firm at all. I contacted customer services and after they asked for a photo of them, they offered to send more mushrooms out for free, however we’ve been put off and did not want them replaced, we asked for a refund or at least a partial refund but they refused despite offering to send more mushrooms for free costing them postage and packing. I wrote back to say I was disappointed that they’d rather send more and lose out on postage, packing and more mushrooms rather than keep a customer happy and use the other products, they never replied. Needless to say we will not be shopping at The Mushroom Barn, very disappointed to have spent £20 on something that was mushy and not steak like as described.

This is the kind of outfit I like to do business with. I ordered some lions mane but the delivery company didn’t get them to me until a day late, obviously they weren’t as fresh as expected, but still edible. Mushroom Barn replied to my email immediately and replaced my order. The mushrooms are beautifully packed and of excellent quality. It’s when things go wrong that find out just how good the customer service is. Thank you Mushroom Barn.
