Ordered an ex display washing machine with a year guarantee. I have been emailing them for the last 3 months regarding a fault issue, that I have with the machine and no reply. Also no contact number. Avoid

The dryer didnt work. I was told to examine it in front of delivery men who couldn't wait to leave quick enough. They refused to wait.
Had a heatwave so didn't need to use it. Tried it yesterday only to find it doesn't work and has missing parts. No contact number and no response from emails. Avoid.

I bought a fridge/freezer and a washing machine from TheShop@Home. The fridge was delivered damaged, with the stabilising legs broken, and the washing machine door was not closing. I contacted them by email, which is the only means of contact, as they have a phone number that never goes through. They never responded to a single email, not even an acknowledgement. I was pushed to raise a dispute through the bank, then somebody responded to one of the several emails I have sent to them with a one-line note that "they are dealing with the bank". In the end, the bank did not refund the money, and we are stuck with broken items that are not usable. Please DO NOT GO NEAR this company; they are just a bunch of people selling damaged white goods.

Read the reviews unlike me! I was drawn in by the good prices, that’s the best thing about them. Once you have the product they don’t want to know. The only way to contact them is through email which they ignore and if you do find a phone number it never connects.

I ordered a dishwasher and it looked good. When going through the settings it told me it had previously had an F12 fault. It washed once successfully before giving the F12 error and not draining. I rejected it under the consumer goods act within a week of having it, no response. I requested a return, no response. I have now raised a dispute with the finance company and payments are now paused.

How they stay in business I’ll never know. All I can do is reiterate DO NOT USE!!!

I have been emailing this company for over 3 weeks and had no reply re a badly damaged oven that I bought for my daughter who has moved in to affordable housing with her two year old. It was ex display but it was apparently A rated !!! I cannot believe that shop@home would treat someone already in a difficult situation like this. Absolutely disgusting

The washer arrived without instructions so I went online to get some. On inspection there weren't any transportation bolts in the back. I plumbed it in n switched it on, nothing. Digital display was blank, no lights at all.no matter what I tried.
I contacted the help desk by email on 3 occasions, without reply. I found a contact number on Google n it was dead when I rang it.
I've had to go to my credit card company to investigate it to get my money back.

Do not use this company! They sent me a broken dishwasher and I’ve had 0 contact via customer service! Total scam

You sent me a defective product, refused to engage when I emailed. Then you left me hanging on "live chat", for 2 hours. Ive now instigated a chargeback with my credit card. Very poor service. I will never be back.

I have sent several emails but had no response asking to return this item and a refund.

Due to the fact that this was sold as an EX display but it is clearly second. It had water in it , smells of washing detergent and has soap scum around the door seal.

If I wanted a second hand one I would have bought one off Market Place for a fraction of the cost if this one

Fridge was faulty. There's no way to contact apart from emails which they ignore.
Avoid this company at all costs.

Ive just had a hip operation and laid up, both my washer and separate dryer broke last week and I could have cried.
I was so pleased to find such an affordable washer dryer. And even got new customer discount. Facebook marketplace washer dryers were only £50 cheaper, had no warranty and were used. I thought so long as the category d rating means it still works, I don't care...I have 2 kids and alot if washing if it looks a bit rough, I'll cover it with a curtain.
The delivery was just 3 days later and super friendly and organised.
I unwrapped it...the so called 'major blemish' was one small, barely noticeable dent! I am delighted! Thank you so so much for the weight this has lifted off my shoulders

Wanted to give Shop@Home a chance after reading the reviews here as the price was so great. Safe to say they did not let me down!! 48 Hours from ordering and the washer I purchased was in my home and running a treat!
This is the only appliance shop I've found online that does free delivery on every item as far as I can see!!

They were transparent about the condition of the item. The object of this business seems to be offering appliances to a family like mine that can't afford as much as we would like. We purchased an ex-display american fridge that was £1100 everywhere else and I was able to purchase the same item from these guys for £599!!! Not to mention a 1 year warranty!

Ordered a hoover washer dryer massive dent on the top one of the legs missing and no water feed pipe emailed to return the dryer but response from them please avoid at all costs

Ordered a cooker, damaged in warehouse; no delivery, no refund no correspondence from these people.
Also still waiting for 2 ceiling fan lights, totally no correspondence whatsoever, legal action is needed next. 😡

Only an email chain that takes 48hours to respond and even then they have tried the blag.
Was told item booked for collection to ring the company they use AIT if anyone needs it ... only to find out they lied yet again.

Very poor experience. No refund after goods were not received. Avoid this company.

I placed an order for a cooker costing £279. The original item I ordered was not supplied. I was then offered an alternative item, but before agreeing to it, I asked for clarification about the grade/condition of the replacement.

Instead of answering my question, the company attempted to send the alternative item to my address anyway. I had not clearly agreed to accept this substitute, so I contacted the delivery company and asked them not to deliver it.

I then requested a refund, as I had not received the goods I ordered and had not accepted delivery of any replacement. The refund was refused on the basis that the “customer has the goods,” which is factually incorrect. I do not have the goods.

The company has responded only once despite me sending several emails trying to resolve the matter. My further emails have been ignored, which has made the situation even more frustrating and unnecessarily stressful.

Because the company would not refund me or communicate properly, I have had no choice but to raise a payment dispute through my bank. This has meant waiting weeks for the bank process to move forward, all because the company failed to handle a straightforward refund properly.

This has also delayed me from buying a replacement cooker, as I have been waiting for my money to be returned so I can put it towards the correct appliance.

Based on my experience, unless you are desperate, I would strongly advise avoiding this company. The communication has been poor, the refund process has been unacceptable, and the handling of the situation has caused unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and delay. Engaging with this business is a like a game of Russian roulette.

It has been a month now and still no refund. I will not be buying from a business that has no phone line I can call, again

In my opinion, a reputable business should not refuse a refund when the customer has not received the goods and has not agreed to accept a substitute item.
