Poor email communication, Dirty watch
Watch arrived quickly, unfortunately the photos on the website have been edited to make the green of the dial more prominent than it actually is. Had the photos been more realistic and showed the true colour i would not have purchased this particular watch. I've emailed the company about this but my email has been ignored so far. Quite disappointing. Also the inside of the glass is streaky and looks terrible in sunlight or under bright lights. Would really like an email back.

That said, screen displays and lighting can sometimes cause colours to appear slightly different than in person, and we understand that's frustrating when it affects how the watch matches your expectations.

Absolutely amazing customer service.
Brought a maserati watch from them. I absolutely loved the watch but I didnt relise that it was an automatic watch and would stop working when not in use. As it was not my daily watch it stopped going after only a few weeks of owning it but would start going again once I reset it. I contacted them about 10pm at night via email saying it had a fault. Thinking I would not hear anything for a few days at least. But to my surprise I had a response within about 30mins. Even at that time of night. They explained to me that its normal for an automatic watch to stop going when not in use. Which I comfirmed by moving the watch around abit and it started working. Not only is it an awesome watch but the customer service was absolutely amazing. I do not normally leave reviews but felt this had to be mentioned. Highly rate them A+++++

I really like the watch but unhappy…
I really like the watch but unhappy with the strap. Even I can’t buy new strap as the original one is not in condition to wear. I am really feeling bad that I trust the site and spent money on it.

We do, however, find this review misleading, and we feel it is important to clarify the facts for the benefit of other customers.
The watch you purchased was listed on our clearance page with the title "Defective Strap" — this was clearly stated in the product title at the time of your order. We also included real, unedited photographs of the strap's condition in the listing, and all details regarding the item's condition were fully disclosed at the time of dispatch. Additionally, a red "defect" notice was displayed prominently on the product page.
Given all of the above, we respectfully do not accept that the condition of the strap could come as a surprise. The item was sold as a clearance piece with a known defect, reflected in its price accordingly.
We are sorry if there has been any misunderstanding, and we remain happy to assist if you have any further questions. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at info@thewatchesmen.co.nz.

I would not recommend this online store to any customer. If your watch does not work post the 30 day exchange policy you have no recourse as a customer. I paid $293 for a Emporium watch it stopped working after the 30 day exchange policy no exchange. Stay away.

Thank you for your review, and we are sorry to hear you are unhappy. However, we feel it is important to provide some important context, as we believe this review does not accurately reflect the situation.
When you contacted us in January, we promptly offered you two options: an exchange, or to have the watch repaired and send us the receipt so we could cover the cost. You chose to have it repaired yourself and informed us you would follow up — however, we did not hear back from you until May, several months later.
Unfortunately, at that stage, we were no longer in a position to offer an exchange. This was not due to a lack of care on our part — we had already extended goodwill well beyond our standard 30-day policy and provided a clear resolution path in January, which was not followed through on.

I brought my partner a Diesel watcha in…
I brought my partner a Diesel watch in December for his birthday. The watch said waterproof. He forgot to take it off in one shower and it got wet inside. We have e mailed the company, they said it shouldnt be worn in the shower, we said, the watch is sold as WATERPROOF not water resistant. They have refused to fix it for us even though it is our consumer rights to have it fixed. Do not buy from them, they are very unhelpful and we will be taking this further. The stock are rip offs from Dubai

Unfortunately, as outlined in our warranty policy, water damage falls outside of our coverage and we are unable to assist in this case. We do also want to share a helpful tip for the future — before wearing the watch in the shower, please ensure the crown is fully pushed in and the case is properly sealed, as this helps protect against moisture entering the watch.
We would also like to address the comment about our stock — all watches we sell are 100% authentic, and we take such claims very seriously.

Great service and communication. Both watches that we ordered are as per the photo. Unfortunately one of the ones that came from overseas, the battery was dead and I had to replace it before using.

Very bad experience with this watch and customer service.
I bought this watch online, but the battery was not working from the start. I contacted them and they told me to replace the battery and send the receipt, promising they would reimburse the cost.
I did everything they asked — replaced the battery, sent the receipt, and even followed up with multiple emails. But after that, they completely ignored me and did not pay anything back.
This is very unprofessional and disappointing. I wasted my money and time. Honestly, I could have bought a cheaper and better watch from a local shop.

Eli was absolutely helpful and prompt to provide the updates on delivery of our watch.
Due to ongoing conditions over the world, our order was not delivered. We didn’t only get an update but the issue was resolved rather within minutes all was in place, refund processed and stress free before my travel day.
My concern was order not to be delivered when I am away from home and absolutely satisfied with customer service, can say deliveries are safe and customers are prioritised
