Absolutely appalling service. Cleaner was good at her job but showed up a handful of times over a period of months. Every week was a different excuse. The company did zero management of the situation. Eventually we cancelled the service and have yet to receive the refund that was agreed for the advance payment. We now have a lovely, reliable cleaner we found ourselves. Would never recommend this service to anyone.

I've been working with Time for You Blackburn with Darwen for about six months now, and it's been brilliant from the start! Nick and Naomi are fantastic to work with. Unlike other companies I’ve tried in the past, they actually have plenty of steady work for me and there’s more if I want it! The hours are flexibile and I can work around school. As a self-employed cleaner it’s great having them find clients for me. Also if I ever need time off, they sort out cover for my clients. On top of that their communication is fantastic. They are supportive, reassuring, and always on the other side of the phone when I need them :)

Poor communication
I've thought long and hard about leaving this review, as I usually prefer to let things go and move on, but unfortunately my experience with this company still plays on my mind a few months on.
Initially, I had a really positive experience. Dawn was quick to respond, seemed professional and kind, and arranged a cleaner for me very quickly. Having recently had my baby, we had fallen behind with the cleaning, so I was looking for a deep clean to get us back on track, followed by a regular maintenance clean.
Unfortunately, during the couple of months we used the service, two cleaners left for personal reasons. Initially, Dawn was helpful and supportive when this happened. However, I was then quite abruptly informed that I would not be receiving a new cleaner and that I would receive a refund for the admin fee for our current quarter.
This was when the issues really began. I followed up by email, politely asking whether there was anything I needed to know about why I had lost two cleaners in such a short space of time, but I received no response. My husband then also had to spend a considerable amount of time chasing the refund that was owed to us.
I appreciate that cleaners may leave for personal reasons and that circumstances can change, but I was disappointed by the lack of communication and the way the situation was handled, particularly after such a positive start.
Honestly, my experience with Time for You has put me off using another cleaning company for the time being.
Overall, a positive start, but unfortunately an unreliable service and disappointing communication towards the end.

Unfortunately, both cleaners became unable to continue due to entirely separate and unforeseen personal circumstances. At the time, Dawn was also recovering from surgery and made you aware she had temporarily paused cleaner recruitment, which meant there simply wasn’t another suitable cleaner available to offer you.
We’re sorry if the communication around this could have been better. Dawn did explain the situation and confirmed that your quarterly payment would be refunded in full within 3–5 working days. Our records show that the refund was completed within that timeframe, and you were actually refunded an amount which was more than the balance on your account as a courtesy for any inconvenience. Dawn also responded to your follow-up on the fifth working day.
We do appreciate how frustrating it must have been to lose two cleaners in a relatively short period, particularly when the service had initially worked well for you, and we’re sorry that circumstances meant it couldn’t continue.

By far the worst company I’ve ever…
By far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Extremely disappointing, Unprofessional and arrogant. I was let down 3 times by three different cleaners contracted to the St Helens/wigan branch and not once was an apology made by head of the Company, when a cleaner did commit to a weekly clean, I was really disappointed by the level of cleanliness, though she was a lovely girl and therefore, had asked for another permanent cleaner to take over weekly clean. That cleaner wanted to bring her child on the job who was unwell - and defeats the ‘job’ part as I understand her child will need supervision so would not fulfil the work effectively.
After such disappointing experiences over the weeks I’d asked to cancel the contract though I’d paid an upfront fee (that I was prepared to loose) not once have I received an apology off the branch owner, Amanda. Professionalism, commitment and great customer service starts with managerial leadership which is clearly not in place and that’s why the cleaners don’t follow high standards

I’m sorry you were disappointed with your experience, but I do feel some important context is missing from your review.
You had the same cleaner for approximately 6–8 weeks before raising concerns about the standard of cleaning. Unfortunately, she also felt unable to continue as the lists of tasks being provided were not achievable within the agreed two-hour rotational clean.
We immediately worked to find a replacement. Sophia agreed to provide an interim clean while another permanent cleaner was arranged. When an unexpected childcare issue meant Sophia asked whether her child could accompany her, you understandably declined.
I immediately arranged for your new permanent cleaner, Jamie, to start early and attend the following day. Unfortunately, we received your cancellation before I had the opportunity to confirm this with you.
I completely appreciate that changes of cleaner are frustrating, and I’m sorry we weren’t ultimately able to provide a service you were happy with. However, I don’t feel it is fair to suggest your concerns were ignored, we acted on them immediately and had another cleaner ready to attend the following day.

Abysmal Customer Service - agreed refund not paid 5 months in
I was quite happy with the service and our regular cleaner Rob was really good. The office side not great but not a major issue in that sometimes replacement cleaners for holiday cover had to be chased for. Rob again was great in making sure we weren't put out. However, our circumstances changed and I needed to cancel. I called in before the next DD was due. They couldn't do anything over the phone and said the manager would call me back. Nothing. I followed up via email but it was after money went out. This time Zed was responsive and agreed the refund minus the 1 month notice. Multiple emails and calls in post that and I have had 0 response to any of them. This is now months and also includes an online complaint to head office with nothing but an automated acknowledgment. I was told yet again this week when I called that Zed would call back in the morning - nothing. My conclusion is that it was a deliberate ignoring of my first call to take my money. Cleaners they have are great but their practices to take and keep money feels like a scam. I also didn't realise until recently that the exorbitant quarterly DD goes 100% to the franchise / managers - I thought a small % would also go to the cleaners. It's a massive shame as I would have re-booked them in the future but their lack of professionalism and shoddy service have completely changed my mind.

The delay was due to a genuine oversight by the franchise owner, who was dealing with the very difficult personal circumstances following the loss of his younger sister at the time. While this does not excuse the delay, it does explain the circumstances behind it, and we sincerely regret that the refund was not dealt with sooner.
The refund has now been made in full, and an apology has also been made directly. We would like to reassure you that there was never any intention to withhold your money.
We’re pleased you were happy with your regular cleaner and are sorry that your overall experience with the office did not meet the same standard.

I have been using their service in the Newton Mearns, Glasgow area!
The most pathetic customer communication I have ever experienced. The cleaner they provided was just ok however the way the manager or franchise owner (or whatever) managed the contract and handled the communication was such a disappointment. I am asking whether any arrangements are made for cleaning this week and he is telling me my contract is cancelled as it is 1-month in arrears. How and why did that happen and most importantly you should manage it proactively so that it never ends up being in-active. On top of that, I am telling you that I'd like to continue so please arrange someone for this week and instead of renewing the contract and arranging someone he is again replying back with the same nonsense: "The domestic cleaning service arrangement that you had with our business has now ended"
