Signed up recently with them. Have had 2 different cleaners and paid them on the day.
Here’s an account of what happened with the second cleaner:
Planned today’s cleaning in advance from 13:00 to 15:00. Hoovering and light dusting - 2 bedrooms, 1.5 toilet and open plan lounge that needed mopping, kitchen top needed a wipe. Please keep in mind they had sent a cleaner in the week before so you’d expect this to be done in 2 hours or Atleast have her finish one floor. Atleast.
Planned arrival at 13:00.
Arrived at 14:03. Only told me she was running late after I made contact at 13:15.
I rearranged my evening plans so we can get the work done.
Spent 9 mins showing her everything I needed doing.
Started on upstairs toilet at 14:12 and finished it at 15:08. Claims she hoovered my room, the corridor and my daughter’s room.
Yet somehow my shelves are still dusty and there are bits of paper/ hairpins on the carpet that was supposedly hoovered by two of their cleaners a week apart.
Left at 16:00 as planned for 2 hours.
Only area clean: one bathroom.
Direct payment to cleaner: £25.. for one bathroom.

He refutes your comment that he threatened legal action following your Google review but he has said that he mentioned to you that he thought the review to be libellous and untrue.

I found Lucyann's advert in the Selby journal so gave her a ring & was very impressed with her. She explained about her company and the people she gets to do the cleaning for clients. I was happy with the way she ran the business so went on to use her for my present needs after a nasty fall in January with a cleaner sorted out from next week

Be very clear about the "cancelation fee" contract section before you agree to sign
I write on behalf of my 87 year old mother:
My mother arranged to be visited to discuss her cleaner needs and had everything very positively explained to her during the visit. The breakdown of costs, the agents fees for every visit and the quality of cleaning were all explained and backed up by a lovely glossy brochure.
As with all doorstep contracts my mother had a 14 day cooling off period to cancel the contract as per trading standards regulations.
The next day she decided to cancel and within a few minutes of emailing this instruction a £50 "cancelation fee" was taken from her account with an explanation that this was in accordance with sections 10.5 and 10.5.1 of the contract.
This was not explained to my mother at any point (she has very good recall).
To include a section within a contract that is cancellable within 14 days that says you can't cancel without a fee reminds me of the hard sell double glazing and timeshare salesmen of the 80's and 90's.
It appears this is to cover the cost of the representative travelling to secure the contract and just doesn't appear at all ethical when it wasn't explained at any point to my mother.
Shame on you Sean!
Having read the detailed response I still maintain that the cancelation fee clause was not made clear enough to be understood, and stand by my review as a caution to other potential customers.

Thank you for your feedback. I had a call with your mother on 11th January, explaining in detail how the service works and we went through all of her requirements on the telephone and I explained in detail our terms of business, pricing, insurance, allocation and management. Your mother was keen to go ahead so we then arranged a home visit to the property where I went through our terms of business a second time and answered any questions that your mother had and discussed the scope of work that she would like completed each clean in more detail. Your mother read and signed the terms of business and also went on to sign our 'rights to cancellation notice' and chose option 1 which waivers the 14 day cooling period as she was keen to get someone started as soon as possible and did not want to wait 14 more days. I then gave your mother a welcome pack which had a paper copy of the terms of business, this would have been the third time that your mother had now discussed the terms of business with myself. Firstly on the telephone, then at the property and then I left her a paper copy also for her convenience. In your email to me you state that your mother is hard of hearing yet following our telephone conversation she had an electronically read and signed an agreement and was handed a printed agreement in her welcome pack. With your mother happy and eager to proceed I then vetted and allocated a cleaner to complete her cleaning for her. Just to confirm, we have now had a telephone consultation, a home consultation, a contract signing, a waivered 14 day cooling off period and the vetting and allocation of a cleaner (Danielle) who your mother requested to start on the Monday, along with the setting up of a direct debit via GoCardless. Your mother then, unfortunately, had a change of heart and decided to cancel the service, if you look at our signed terms of business and the signed and waivered cooling off period you will see that there is an administration charge for any cancellations after the commencement of the service as we are now in contract and services had been provided to vet and allocate your mothers cleaner, Danielle, who had been scheduled and ready to attend on Monday. Your mother was so elated with our meeting that she said she was recommending us to her friend who was also looking for a trustworthy and reliable cleaning service with DBS checked cleaners. My business is cleaning for over 250 households with happy clients every day within the CT postcodes. I am sorry to see that you are disappointed but our terms of business are in place to protect the business as well as the cleaners and the clients.

Not able to engage in the first place
Can't comment on the service as was never able to engage. Got email for callback in SE3 saying would ring and did not. When rung number to chase a few weeks later, it didn't exist (020 8088 2004). Website contains no way of getting in touch. Shame as reviews were good.

Very pleased with speed and efficiency of TFY
This is my first experience of using an agency like this for cleaning. I had considered something like this in the past but didn't take the step until I saw them advertised in a local magazine recently. I checked out the recommendations and decided to give them a go. So far my experience is very good. Angie was incredibly efficient in coming back to my online enquiry and matched me with my cleaner very quickly following our initial chat and house visit (less then 2 weeks to get it all arranged). Everything was very clear in terms of expectations, costs, managing access etc. Today was my first clean and I am very happy with the result and with my cleaner, so early days but certainly very glad that we have used Time For You.

I can’t recommend them highly enough!
I started using Time For You after seeing their advert in the local magazine. I needed a cleaner for my older cousin who lives alone and has a cat. The lovely cleaner started with a deep clean of his kitchen and bathroom, which took 6 hours, she has then continued to visit once a week for 2 hours to keep the rooms clean and as hygienic as possible. She is amazing! When she has had a holiday the company have arranged for a fill in cleaner and each time they have done an excellent job. I can’t recommend the service highly enough, everyone is friendly, helpful and hard working and my cousin is happy to have them in his home.

I would give zero stars if it was possible. Stay away from these liar and deceptive people.
It wasn’t explicitly mentioned during our face to face meeting with their representative or on phone call that we’d need to pay £50 admin fees if we don’t go ahead with the service after signing the contract, and it was said that us signing the contract did not bind us for any payments unless we confirm to proceed after meeting the cleaner. None of thier emails before setting up the direct debit have any mention of this charge, it was only after we asked to put it on hold this charge was mentioned. The only clause mentioned was that we need to give a 1 month notice once the service starts.
They have clearly taken advantage of the fact that no one reads through the long T&C text, and have kept hidden charges in the contract. I have proof our conversation with their representative on our cctv camera and all email trails, I will definitely take this to consumer court so that others don’t suffer at the hands of these pilferers.

I have spoken to the local office in Epsom and they have advised that they signed you up on Friday 3rd January after a home visit, a cleaner was swiftly allocated and everything was ready to go ASAP as requested with the first cleaning date agreed as Monday 6th January.
They then received an email the day after you signed up to say that you were now getting some other quotes but as we had already allocated a cleaner we needed to charge you an admin fee of £50.
They maintain that this was made clear to you as it is said to every client on the phone, in the appointment email, in the meeting and its in the T&Cs. We understand that you are disappointed with this and we hope that you find a solution for your requirements soon.
