Thanks God, never used it, but we travel a lot and always Tin Leg comes first in terms of the best pricing and very competitive packages. Effective interface makes the entire process an easy challenge.

This company has demonstrated a pattern of unprofessional, dismissive, and obstructive behavior. Their representatives repeatedly made excuses to avoid processing my payment, forcing me to resend the same documents more than five times. Despite my efforts, they continued to provide false information and showed no willingness to resolve the issue.

Their conduct left me no choice but to file formal complaints with the Department of Insurance and the Better Business Bureau. The experience was a complete ordeal, marked by inefficiency, rudeness, and a lack of accountability. Based on my experience, I strongly advise consumers to avoid purchasing any of this company’s policies.

We purchased a policy for two through Tin Leg. We're married, but we actually have residences in different states. After cancelling the first policy for two, we acquired two separate policies with Tin Leg. The price was virtually the same, and the refund for the original policy appeared on our credit card in 2 business days.

The website was easy to navigate and the options were clearly explained.

Easy to work with and great coverage from a very reputable company

I'm basing this review on TinLeg reimbursing me for a cancelled trip due to my mother dying on the day I was supposed to leave. Mom died 10/5/25 four hours before I was to board the flight to begin my trip. TinLeg reimbursed to me the entire cost of the trip after I provided ALL the necessary receipts, death certificate, and letters from service providers that they were not refunding me for any part of the trip that was pre-booked. Received my payment on 11/20/25 because it takes some time to assemble all the receipts, those letters from service providers, death certificates, etc. Keep your receipts handy, but be prepared to provide the necessary documentation TinLeg requests, as do ALL trip insurance providers. Once all documentation was provided, TinLeg issued a check quickly.

As far as the TinLeg website is concerned, it was fairly easy to look at various insurance carriers offerings and compare them to TinLeg's plans, but they do seem to skew the ratings from the other carriers as being a bit lower than their own. Allianz is also a good site to use to compare policies.
