Damaged Luggage and paid nothing

Took an AirAsia flight from Kuala Lumpur to Sydney and the luggage was damage. It was a new piece of luggage and somehow had a small but visible crack was there when it arrived at Sydney. They refused to pay even though the bag was obviously damaged and it was insured by them

Approved Claim Still Unpaid – Urgent Action Needed!

I submitted a travel insurance claim with Tune Protect Malaysia for my AirAsia flight AK 604 on 14 December 2025, which was delayed by over 5 hours. My policy numbers are #ZDL7-MY-250232543 and #ZDL-MY-250232544, with claim reference Ref_20251217034254_5037981_19.

The claim was approved over a month ago, yet the payout has still not been received. Despite repeated follow-ups, their responses have been vague, and no action has been taken. This delay is extremely frustrating, as the payout must go to a Malaysian bank account.

I am posting this to warn other customers and to urge Tune Protect Malaysia to take immediate action and pay approved claims without further delay.

Broken system, misleading information, scam

Not only was the system broken, so that it could not locate my claim and then I could not update the documents, but my claim was refused because even though my flight was delayed more than 5 hours, they only compensate for delays informed by the airline 24 hours in advance. So if you are planning to get this insurance don't bother.

Total Scam

Total Scam… you‘re better of if you just don‘t buy any coverage. They will just send you from one company to the other until you lose interest, even after approving your claim. no payout nothing.

Avoid this Company at all costs

Avoid this Company at all costs. Many months ago I filed a claim with all supporting documents for late departure of aircraft and have not been paid out. Tuneprotect do not respond to Emails, worst customer service I have ever experienced.

This is a scam

This is a scam. My flight was delayed by 3 hours and I filed countless claims but was all denied, requesting crazy documents that only the airline could provide, but I was not able to get this from the airline.

Avoid at all costs, they're scammers who don't pay out claims!

Months of back and forth with useless representatives, claim was never paid out. They are not denying the validity of it, they accepted the claim and asked for my bank details for the funds to be transferred, then never paid. I have sent countless emails and am now being ignored - it has been over 6 months.

Terrible company

Terrible company, shady practices, avoid at all costs. I’ve emailed over 20 times and have not heard back. When I call they tell me they’ll get back to me. Awful experience. No idea what’s going on in their call centre but this company is an absolute joke.

do not bother buying this, find something else, they dont actually cover anything, it's just a way for them to get free money/profits without providing any service or value.

Don't hold your breath if you need help.

Took out a policy thinking it covered my return flight. Turns out it only covered one way. I emailed them to cancel BEFORE the policy began. They refused. Disgraceful, unethical business. How on earth they can create a neutral customer experience to a very negative one for a few dollars is beyond me. I travel at least 10-15x a year and mostly in SE Asia. I will absolutely never consider using this awful company again, God only knows how bad they would be in the event of a claim.

Terrible experience,
This insurance is linked with AirAsia Thailand, and managed by Malaysia when they bailed them out after covid financial crisis!

And since then everything just went down hill, they introduced AI and reduced customer support.

I purchased flight coverage when buying with AirAsia, and didn't receive any email with my insurance policy.

I tried to email them and and got some automated response, then I called them, they said will get back to me but never did, now I got sick of it and purchased elsewhere!

Complete waste of money

We insured with tuneprotect against flight cancellation with AirAsia for about 20% of the flight cost.
AirAsia cancelled the flights and refused to refund, as is their way.
Asked tuneprotect.com for a payout but of course there is always small print that says "no"
Don't waste your money.
