Is this a joke? Universities pay money to this scam of a software? Who code it this? As all other users have mentioned, it literally takes anything that is similar to anything else out there as plagiarism, and this means titles and references, even your won university name is "plagiarized", this is so bad i dont have words for it. And yet they are still getting paid by universities... a joke.

Unfortunately, I could not give a 0.2 stars out of 5. I cited my quotes, gave my references, wrote "Literature review, introduction, definitions" and this damn apps highlights everything. It even highlights phrases that have nothing to do with the content raising the similarity report to 22%. And on top of that, my Uni insists that this application can store my data- more like steal it.

My best advice is, ensure that it is highlighting words that is used in the same context, else it is useless.

The fact that the destiny of some students is in the hands of the institutions that rely on this software, which is far from accurate, is terrifying.

Generative AI has only become widespread in the past few years, yet an essentially unvalidated tool is now being used to judge students’ work, often producing significant false positives. The fact that the system has even flagged the Bible as 75% AI-generated raises serious questions about the credibility and scientific robustness of their methodology.

I wrote a paragraph of 200 e were odds by my own hands, turnitin gave 100% result as an AI writing.
What a rubbish

If I could, I'd give it a negative score of -100. After each update, Turnitin becomes more and more STUPID. Everything I wrote had been detected as AI-generated. I dont know why universities are still using this useless tool.

Da mogu stavila bi 0. Aplikacija je užasna i samo vara ljude da plate i onda ne dobiju ništa sve ostane kako je. Svaki put kad stavite istu datoteku prikaže vam različit postotak što znači da izbaci samo random kako bi se platilo. Užasno iskustvo NE PREPORUČUJEM PLAĆANJE NITI IŠTA OD OVE APLIKACIJE JER NIJE REALNA!!

one Day schools will realize this site is just a scam and decide to do away with it. Milking students money for subscription for doing nothing

I'm literally using turnitin from 2024. it's so worse, everyday i'm facing issues, it does'nt work propely, too slow and is very strict. i get frustrated using it

I'm returning to college after 20 years of a break. I purchased physical text books, print the PDF of research articles I cite and physically take notes on what I will incorporate. I keep being flagged for previous assignments from Universities all around the US (if we are using the same book for a case study, obviously there will be similarities amongst students). I get flagged for websites I have never visited. I give citations for my research and have never, ever copied anything. I don't know how to use AI and prefer physical books for research over using the internet. This is the most untrustworthy, ridiculous "tool" I have ever encountered. I got flagged for a singular word, "neuroplasticity," on 11 sites. Neuroplasticity is a common term. Why are singular words being flagged? Summarized definitions are flagged. I got flagged for a book title within a citation. This site is RIDICULOUS and should be banned.

Horrible. My essay was 90% ai even though I wrote everything myself. F&ck turnitin. It made me fail my class

Honestly horrible, it thinks singular words are plagiarism. Shouldn’t be allowed. It’s inaccurate and doesn’t work.

This site is so whack, similarity for writing the word 'and'! I agree with the guy saying this should be abolished, whoever left the 5 star review has obviously been paid.

This is ridiculous who ever created this should be burnt in the lowest degree in hell because it is super unreliable, I cannot comprehend on how universities trust this website so much

How are singular words such as and, it, is, " and " to coming up in red?
When writing an essay based on decades of research, how many other ways can I write a bloody sentence?
Why are you flagging a quote I have clearly and correctly cited?
Oh, and look six pages of references all flagged!

Unreliable and should be banned from being used at Universities. It's citing that everything I'm writing is AI generated and it's not. Turnitin SHOULD NOT BE USED or trusted. How can they truly tell if something is AI written when humans have to teach it how to write to begin with. It's ridiculous.

It is the most stupid grading website I've ever been on. It says I plagiarized 65% of the entire article I wrote. It said" which, say, Alexander" is copied. I'm like "what!?" if you don't know there are words I use everyday and Alexander is a friends name!

I would've given this thing a 0 if I could. It said I plagiarized the word "the" and because of it, I failed my assignment, so now I have a 61 in the class. I had to copy the document because the base was created by my teacher, and I was told to copy the whole document. When I did, Everything I copied was flagged as "Plagiarism". This thing sucks.

I would give this 0 stars if I could. Not only is this app extremely annoying I do not understand how to delete a file, and replace it! I continue to get bad grades due to turnitin.
