Disgraceful!

I wouldn’t even rate these scammers one star. We appealed but was rejected. No email received from them re appeal and straight to debt collectors. £170 for a £60 fine, reduced to £144 for payment in good faith. This and all the other reviews above need to be sent to a regulator.

Cowboys: If you have a genuine case - CHALLENGE

Having suffered at the hands of this disgusting company, I realise it is pointless engaging with them, as their response ignores every point raised. The only response one get's, is to inform of the right of UKPS Ltd to enforce their policies. However, they fail to recognise any points raise in the defence of the so called, alleged parking offence.I therefore suggest that anyone getting such a parking notification, who genuinely believes they have a justification to challenge do the following: Send a written appeal to UKPS Ltd outlining the mitigations - If it is rejected (which it will be) - follow the independent appeal process in writing.
Remembering, if UKPS Ltd ignore any point raised, and go to small claims court - you may then challenge the fact there are outstanding issues which have not been responded to, which may be used for halt the case, as the matter has outstanding questions. Write to the Levelling Up MP - Neil O'Brien MP - If enough complaints are made formally by genuine challenges, UKPS Ltd could be struck of from accessing the DVLA Database. I have no issue whatsoever in paying up where I am culpable of such an offdence, but when the company concerned act like cowboys and ignore genuine apparels, this is entirely another matter - it's not a case of can' pay, but will not pay bully boy tactics. If necessary, and you have evidence - GO ALL THE WAY TO COURT.

Parking fine even though I have proof from them of payment

Just received a parking fine for £80 when I have the emailed receipt of payment sent by them - and was double checked for correctness to ensure I hadn't made an error. Also checked bank account and it was taken off. Can only appeal(!) by post. So means I will be out of pocket by the expense of printing everything off, and postage! Do I charge them for this? Shocking that they don't have an email address for appeals in this day and age.

Their just horrible little cowboys…

Funny how they claim to adequate signage and yet pretty much everyone on here has said they saw no signs indicating a private car park when they parked. I got 2 fines in 2 days for parking in what was a previously public car park, tiny sign on the far side of the car park was apparently classed as 'adequate' by ukps & the supposedly 'independent' appeals organisation the IAS. As a single mum with a young child i'm scared of the threat of bailiffs showing up so I just paid the £200. They are just a bunch of terrible hoomans successfully making money out of the rest of us.

FINED FOR PARKING AT OUR SONS UNI?

FINED FOR PARKING AT OUR SONS UNI?

Well tbh you're NEVER going to see UKCPS with good reviews due to the nature of their business, NO ONE likes or wants a fine do they!.

But in this circumstance shows you how low they go.

We went to see our son at Lincoln Uni which is PRIVATE LAND, we were around 40 minutes and we parked on the universities land/carpark which was outside our sons accommodation block, no letter or sign that we had done anything wrong was present on our car, however. when we go home some days later we had a letter stating we had "PARKED WITHOUT A PERMIT" We was not aware and had no paperwork of coms from the uni that we needed a permit to park to see our son?.

We are fighting this as it cant be legal and IF it is legal and they win then the BIG question needs to be asked to the UNI WHAT IS GOING ON?.

We found out these rats were out in force on the uni's open day to get 100's of victims, how does the government allow this to carry on?

Scum bags invade peoples privacy

I was fined a ticket for parking in a child and parents parking bay when I have 3 children under the age of 12 and a child on board sign in the back of the car and a child car seat in the back and also not forgetting to mention I traveled with my 11 year old daughter. These pictures were taken by a man who took pictures of my car and the inside of my car which was only the front two seats and not the back where my car seat is located. Then I called to speak to an advisor they kept hanging up on me. Bunch of scum bags. Breaching people’s privacy by taking pictures of inside the car without permission.

There a bunch of scum crooks no other way to put it, they think there clever by giving a fine to someone parked in a visitor parking spot, the space had a V... which stands for VISITOR. The sign says permits in numbered allocate spaces but NOT visitor parking.
This company is a laughing stock/joke.

UKCPS Distinctly dodgy business

I actively avoid businesses that have UKCPS car parking. I used to go to McDonalds at the service service station at Bilbrough (Y023) but then I overstayed in their car park. It was run by UKCPS. I received a “parking fine” for overstaying 30 mins of £60, which increased before I had chance to pay to £100. Couldn’t get into UKCPS appeals site, letters ignored the usual stuff. I haven’t been back to the restaurant in a year. I used to go up to 3 times a week.

I have no idea how they got my details. Now they have them, I’ve been charged £100 again, for turning my car round when I got lost in Manchester. I got out of the car the check I could reverse but they made it look as if I left the car. I didn’t.

If I see a car park with UKCPS on it I won’t go into it. I won’t go to that business. It’s way too expensive and you can’t appeal because their appeals website doesn’t work.

I paid up both times, because I suspected they would get a CCJ against me without informing me as they have with other people.

If any business thinks that getting UKCPS to manage their car park is a good idea then you’ll need to be comfortable with loosing business. I’m certainly not the only one who avoids UKCPS. That is also quite apart from the moral implications of their business practices. A £60 “parking charge” is morally reprehensible. A £50 charge for getting out of your car to make sure you don’t reverse into another car is evidently unfair. These are the only 2 parking “fines” I’ve had in 5 years.

The biggest concern is that they aren’t registered, so the question has to be how do they get drivers details? Is it legal? They may be the biggest, but in my experience they are the worst.

Got stung with a £100 fine in Burnsall…

Got stung with a £100 fine in Burnsall Yorkshire on 2 January, we paid for a ticket and stayed for 16 minutes, the m/c wouldn't accept our reg. number so I kept the ticket and provided it as evidence when I appealed, which we won. Beware the cameras and dodgy machines...

This company needs investigating

This company needs investigating. I got a fine for overstaying time when I didn’t even know there was a limit. I will not shop at parkgate shopping in Rotherham again. I was Christmas shopping and presents. I spent over £500 in shops and ended up with a fine. Easy money for them. Disgusting company.

Don't pay! Challenge it

Don't pay! I was accused of "someone saw the driver leaving the site". I appealed with evidence, they rejected it instantly. Went through the IAS (Independant Appeals Service) they mention to appeal. They gave UKCPS 5 days to provide evidence after I did, obviously UKCPS didn't have any evidence, nor are they a company of real people, just automated threats. They failed to upload evidence and now my appeal has gone through.

Even if the UKCPS reject your appeal, do not pay. If you get a letter about reposetition, ignore it *Unless it's from high court*. UKCPS have no legal right to repossess anything. Cowboys

Check out these little jokers. Trying to charge me £130 - saying driver observed leaving the site. They stated that they have no photos or recording of the driver leaving the site, just someone observed it.
Got to give them 100% for trying :)

Pure extortion. Should be illegal.

Unfortunately I can't leave a negative rating. This bunch are liars and thieves. I was given a fine for an 'offence' I never committed and for which they had no evidence. It is impossible to appeal as there is nobody listening and they just auto-generate appeal rejections. They keep escalating charges and threatening legal action to intimidate people into paying, I wonder how many more have been harassed and scared into paying when they have also done nothing wrong. This is pure extortion. Guilty until proven innocent, and it is up to you to prove your innocence.

1star is too much of a rating for this…

1star is too much of a rating for this company. They need shutting down gave me parking with no proof of parking incorrectly because I was parked in a normal spot, I didn’t stay behind the maximum amount of time in the car park I also didn’t park my car there and go somewhere else, they point blank refused to discuss this with me over the phone They said I had to write to them which I did no response I wrote to them again and still no response they’ve now sent it to a debt recovery agency and added an extra £110 to the charge. Disgusting we’re in a cost of living crisis people are already struggling to get by without receiving parking charges when they’ve done nothing wrong

My first encounter with the UKCPS pirates

On August 19th, I parked in a UKCPS site in Harrogate. Despite great difficulty getting their website to respond, I eventually submiited my bank card details to pay £5.30 for 6 hours parking.
4 days later I became aware that the payment had not been claimed. Next day I received a letter from UKCPS which included a still from a CCTV camera of my wife and myself standing beside our car, demanding I pay a £90 penalty for non-payment of parking fees. This amount to be generously reduced to £60 if I paid within the next 14 days!
I followed their recommended complaints procedure which resulted in their rejecting my complaint in a very short time. They then advised me that I could complain to an 'independent' complaints company (IAS) which I suspect to be their stooge. They also advised me that, by pursuing this complaint I would be no longer eligible for the reduced £60 penalty but must pay the full whack should my appeal be refused. The IAS (Independent Appeals Service) rejected my application even before I'd completed it by claiming that I hadn't submitted all the relevant information. This despite the fact that all the information was available to them through the claim number which they had.
I have subsequently received letters demanding ever-increasing sums of money and to-day received a 'Final Notice Letter'. Scary eh?
I have advised them that I paid correctly and it's their problem that they didn't take the payment. I also informed them that, if they still wished to pursue the matter, I will see them court.
