Unplugged Cabins Avis 

This was my first time staying at an Unplugged cabin and it was a fantastic experience! The instructions for getting there, what to bring and info about the specific accommodation were really clear, and I was able to immediately begin to enjoy my stay from the very first minute. The bed was super comfy and I was pleasantly surprised by how hot and powerful the shower was. I loved that there was a little cassette radio and a surprisingly good selection of tapes to choose from including Sade's Diamond Life album - that I was not expecting but loved! I was able to be really, really present and enjoy the beautiful scenery all around, as well as quietly watching the nearby horses, sheep, birds and butterflies. This was my first cabin stay, but definitely won't be my last. And I was able to experience all this just an hour away from home!

We really enjoyed our stay at ‘Otto’, cabin in the woods in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. The distant sound of sheep, morning birdsong, watching the fox running across the mound from my bedroom window, pink skies, woodland air … I felt completely immersed in nature. We read books, talked, I made jewellery and broke free from the anxiety of constantly looking at my phone. I’m hooked! Thank you Un-Plugged.

What a lovely chilled week we had in Jessi. Comms from unplugged from start to finish were spot on. Quality of products provided from toiletries to the kitchen facilities were superb. We stayed for what was described as a tester break and provided a little feedback and to be fair it was not negative. The stay was as advertised. It was just so peaceful from the babbling brook to the buzzards and kites above us. Owls at night. Just heaven. Fortunate weather was lovely so able to sit outside and just emerge yourself in the setting. Would not hesitate to book again or try another elsewhere.

This was my third stay with Unplugged, and Winston might be my favourite. It had everything we needed with the added bonus of a wood-fired hot tub and a firepit for the evenings outdoors. The walk into Frome along the river is a great way to spend the afternoon and The nearby Talbot Inn is well worth the stop for a roast or pint. Another wonderful stay, and wouldn't hesitate to return.

A lovely relaxing time away. Didn’t want to come home. Thoroughly recommend, and will be booking again soon.

Life got you down ? Go stay at an unplugged cabin. The peace of mind it gives you being there is unlike anything you see in most places. Definitely would recommend. Don't think about it just do it !!!

Had the most incredible stay at Otto with Unplugged. The cabins are beautifully designed, with lots of clever touches that nudge you to switch off, a phone lockbox, an Instax camera, orienteering maps. They're really well kitted out too: proper kitchen kit, lovely toiletries, and a beautiful filter coffee maker we adored, because the process itself is so mindful. The team think about everything, right down to suggesting places to explore nearby.
I'd encourage everyone to go. The benefits genuinely can't be overstated, I've spent the time since smiling at the little things, with far less mental clutter and reaching for my phone much less. My focus is better, too: I can actually read beyond a couple of pages, and it's not a struggle anymore.

My partner and I visited Elsa with our dog and had the most idyllic weekend imaginable.

It was our second Unplugged stay, the first having been in winter, and it was great to experience a totally different kind of trip in the warmer months.

We spent most of the day out and about - the coast is a short drive away - then spent the evenings enjoying the cabin once it had cooled down a bit, along with the hot tub and sitting around the fire pit.

Would love to try the new seaside cabins next.

We recently visited Minty in Hampshire and had such an incredible trip! Everything in the cabin was so well thought out from the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in to the selection of games on the shelf. We locked our phones away from the moment we arrived to the moment we left and can't begin to explain the mental clarity that gave us, something we haven't experienced in many, many years! We didn't have a car but getting to the cabin was super easy and there were loads of amazing walks on the cabins doorstep. Highly recommend this to anyone who's thinking about it, we'll most definitely be back!

Exceptional experience!! I cannot recommend Unplugged enough. I specifically booked this to decompress from a busy work schedule and the entire experience from initial booking and every aspect was throughly relaxing. There wasn’t one part of the stay that wasn’t well thought of, from the top quality bedding and robes to the huge powerful shower to the outstanding body wash. There was an endless supply of logs and the instructions for everything were so simple and easy. The cleanliness was immaculate as was the cabin surrounding areas. The customer service was exceptional and always keen to help. Thank you for making a much needed break such a transformational experience. I shall definitely be using Unplugged again.

Had an amazing stay at Loki. Perfect location for exploring the New Forest, and a nice pub and cafe with great coffee within walking distance. Would like to try one of the new ones with a hot tub next!

Fantastic stay with Unplugged at Stanley cabin. So peaceful, beautiful setting - we saw the deer strolling through the woods at sunset! Super impressed with the set up - everything you need for a switching-off break. Highly recommend doing this often

The day before our trip we were told our cabin had no water, we changed our cabin to another location. Upon arrival the cabin had not been cleaned from the guests before. We were left for over an hour waiting for an update and was told there was no way it could be cleaned. Unplugged are now not providing a full refund and didn’t seem to care we wasted a 444 mile round trip for nothing! We just want our money back and they are being so difficult

Extremely disappointing experience.

We originally booked a cabin around 2 hours from home, only to be told the day before our stay that there was an issue with the water supply and we would need to move cabins. We agreed to move to an alternative location, despite it being around 4 hours away.

After travelling all that way, we arrived to find the cabin had not been cleaned after the previous guests and was not in a condition we could stay in. We contacted customer services and waited over an hour before being told that the cabin could not be cleaned and that we would need to move again to another cabin almost an hour away.

After already dealing with one relocation and then arriving at an unusable cabin, we decided we had no choice but to abandon the trip and return home. In total, we wasted a 440-mile round trip through no fault of our own.

While most of the booking cost has been refunded, £100 paid via a gift voucher has only been returned as a voucher, despite us explaining that we no longer wish to book with the company after this experience. We have also received no contribution towards our wasted travel costs.

Mistakes can happen, but being moved twice, arriving to an unclean cabin, and then being left significantly out of pocket has left us feeling extremely let down. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not feel confident booking again.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Elsa to celebrate his 40th birthday and it met all of our expectations and more! We were so lucky to have amazing weather and I don’t think we left the site once other then to nip into town to grab some extra groceries. It had everything we needed and we honestly have never felt more connected in ourselves and also with each other! I couldn’t recommend this enough to anyone thinking about it. It is unlike anything we have done before and you just feel like you’re in your own little bubble! We both have very full on lives and jobs so to be able to calm our nervous systems in a way we’ve never experienced. Thank you Unplugged. It holds some very special memories and we will sure to hopefully return on an annual basis!

I have recently returned from a solo trip to Wifred near Porlock and I can easily say it was an incredible experience. From the moment I got the welcome pack app and could discover a little bit of what to come, all the way to picking up some logs from the log store and getting the keys, it was a magical and experience and a beautiful step away from the techy noisey world I was living in.
I spent my days drinking lovely coffee amd starring out of the window, reading books, walking and engaging with people and nature like I hadn't done for years. I would highly recommend a visit for peace, calm and to identify ways to manage modern life and tech better.

We stayed at Griffin in Llangollen, and what a magical experience it was! We woke up to the most stunning views and sheep all around the cabin. The cabin itself was equipped with so many thoughtful touches, like the polaroid camera, games to play and a log burner to keep you cosy and warm. We got engaged during our stay making it even more memorable. I'd highly recommend experiencing an unplugged cabin, and booking the Wild Sauna experience too :)

There’s a lot to say about our stay at Bunty.
I really loved almost everything. The concept is amazing and you can definitely have a great time away from your smartphone.
We did have some small problems (which I do really believe they are some one off things and not the normal) and we were promised some sort of compensation after our stay. The amazing team got back to us and really offered us compensation and an apology. Even though we had those small bad moments, I’m doing this review to focus on what’s good about Unplugged. So here it is a list of what I liked the most:
- The place is very quiet and has a beautiful landscape.
- There are animals everywhere (pheasants, sheep, cows, bunnies, foxes and we even saw a muntjac deer right in front of the cabin.
- the fire pit is the best thing (if you are not like me and actually can make a fire that last more than 10 minutes) and it’s great to roast some marshmallows while the sun sets and gets darker.
- the bed is the most comfortable bed ever, I have really bad insomnia and I slept the whole 3 nights like a baby and even had naps in the afternoon.
- the view from the bed is really nice. I went to the cabin to write and read mostly and it was great to spend most of the time on top of the bed with that nice view.
- It was really good to be off social media for 72h (I locked my apps when I left home and only unlocked them when I got back). Only used WhatsApp and it was maybe twice a day and of course took some photos.
- the Polaroid camera idea is great and we have lots of cute little souvenirs to remember that adventure.
- lots of beautiful paths and forests around to go for a hike or two (I didn’t go but my partner did and loved it)
- and last but not least, the AMAZING customer service and staff. Since day 1 answering my questions on Instagram to the emails and updates. The patient they had with us during our stay and afterwards. Genuinely one of the best customer services I’ve ever encountered. They go above and beyond not only during the stay but also afterwards with the problem solving. My experience is that they are fair and generous. That’s business done right - making sure that despite any bad experience, people will still want to go back.

Very enjoyable three night stay in Reggie. Cabin was comfortable and warm and situated in a peaceful location surrounded by woodland teeming with wildlife. We saw deer and hares from the cabin and whilst on local walks. The pubs in nearby villages were welcoming and served very good food. Fascinating visit to Hereford Cathedral just half an hour away.
