Up Learn is the UK's leading A Level and GCSE platform, helping students achieve top grades through expert teaching, personalised learning, and 24/7 AI and human tutor support.
Our courses cover A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Economics and Psychology, as well as GCSE Combined Science, with exam-board specific content for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge International. Behind every lesson is a team of subject specialists, learning scientists, and educators obsessed with one thing: making top grades a reality for every student.
Our platform adapts in real time to each individual - identifying gaps, guiding revision, and building the exam technique needed to reach A/A* at A Level and grade 8 or above at GCSE. The results back it up: 97% of students who complete an A Level course go on to achieve A* or A.
We believe every student deserves access to outstanding education, which is why for every course purchased, we give a free course to a student who needs it. We've provided over 50,000 Up Learn Scholarships across the UK so far.
Students and families often tell us they value how supported they feel, from the quality of teaching to the responsiveness of our team, from first login to results day.
We genuinely welcome honest feedback. Reviews help us celebrate our students' results, and fuel our mission to give every learner the most effective path to success.
Our money back guarantee
A/A* or 8-8
We know what students are capable of when they have the right support. That's why we don't just promise progress - we guarantee top grades.
If you complete our course and don't achieve at least an A at A Level, or 8-8 at GCSE, we'll give you your money back.

Extraordinary surprised in how hard topics are explained with such ease
This is so unique in teaching which helps me so much and explained all the hard topics with ease .I am studying maths and biology and chemistry with aspirations to become a GP and was unsure if I could make it due my illness and circumstances. Uplearn granted me a scholarship which I am forever grateful for and within a month I been learning more content more effectively and getting much better grade in monthly exams. I would highly recommend this to a friend.

Great for most subjects. could improve for maths.
Ingenious app no doubt about it. small suggestion for the maths courses - in the section quizzes, it would be better if incorrect answers always showed the correct solutions and have more elaborate explanations - Hegarty maths does this really well, for instance, think Uplearn still has a bit of tweaking to do for maths. All in all absolute great website, would be great if Further Maths A level was also offered!

Hi Amna,
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review and kind words - we're really glad to hear you're enjoying Up Learn overall!
We really appreciate your feedback on the section quizzes. Once you've completed a section quiz, going through the related videos and quizzes should give you the explanations you need to fully grasp the topic. That said, we totally agree - clear solutions and detailed explanations are essential for a solid understanding so if you ever need a bit more support or a walkthrough, our tutors are just a message away via the chat. You can also give us your feedback on those questions directly there 👌
And it’s amazing to hear you’d like to see another course on Up Learn! We’ve passed your request on to the team 🤩
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts and for being part of Up Learn 😊
Best wishes,

Worth the investment!
HIGHLY recommend for people that aren't 'naturally smart' and need more time and help to understand some of the harder concepts. I have their bio, chem and maths course and I really wish I had utilised this resource earlier. I didn't really use the Maths one as I find maths easier to understand & also quicker from just watching youtube videos however, if there is a hard topic eg normal distribution curve, I always find myself going to Uplearn and I was surprised to find myself understanding everything! Also for chemistry, I used it to understand acids and bases and I was surprised to see myself being able to answer nearly all of the AQA exam qs. It genuinely is really good, especially if you don't have a teacher to teach/ explain difficult concepts! However, I do wish the their course was a tad bit cheaper, especially the monthly packages (as someone who doesn't really use the chat function and only want to access the content/ vids) as I do plan on getting a course again for next year. Overall, this website is a game changer for people that dont want to spend heaps on tutoring, but also want to get the highest grades possible x

Hi!
Thank you so much for your super thoughtful review (and we love the title - we’re guessing it was meant to say worth the investment 😄)!
It’s amazing to hear how Up Learn has helped you tackle the trickier topics and even answer exam questions with confidence - and that it’s become your go-to when you need a deeper explanation. We're so glad Up Learn has been a reliable and effective support system for independent study - that’s exactly what it’s designed for 💪 While tutors are here if you get stuck, the goal is to give you everything you need to succeed on your own.
And thank you for saying this is “a game changer" - we couldn’t have put it better ourselves! We’re really grateful you recognise the value Up Learn offers and are so pleased it’s been worth the investment for you.
Wishing you the very best with your studies and we look forward to having you back next year 💛
Do get in touch via the chat if you want to discuss next year's purchase options.

The way the content is explained just…
The way the content is explained just sticks to your brain and they've structured the lessons in a way that key topics keep getting repeated so they stick in your long term memory. Also, the tutors are quick to help. The only downside is that the tutors refuse to help on any question thats not on up learn even if its from the same topic. Overall 9/10

good platform but needs to be up to date considering the prices of it
It is a very good platform with easy to understand videos, however I paid 600 GBP for Biology OCR A, just to very sadly find out that it wasn't up to date with the new 2025 specification.

Hi Rares,
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review 🙏
The Biology course is now fully in line with the 2025 specification. Our Content team have been carefully making updates to our Biology course to ensure that it is in line with the new 2025 specification, while ensuring that students working from the old specification still had access to all the content they needed. Those updates are now all complete 💪
We've tried reaching out to chat about this with you, so please let us know in that thread if you have any questions about this 😊

Absolutely useful site especially for students that need that extra help outside of lessons that are unfortunately just not understanding the content. Above this this site actively makes students recall knowledge which is scientifically proved to be an effective method of learning

Amazing Resource – Helps Me Feel Confident and Prepared
UpLearn completely transforms the way I study. I use it for A Level Psychology and Economics, and it makes really hard concepts so much easier to understand. The videos are super clear, engaging and explain things in a way that actually makes sense. It helps me stay motivated, track my progress and build genuine confidence in topics I used to struggle with. The quizzes and spaced repetition are so useful for actually retaining information. I also love how easy it is to navigate and how it adapts to my pace. Honestly one of the best tools I use for my education and I would 100% recommend it to any student aiming for top grades.

Very good. Would recommend
Explains individual topics in a way that's easy to understand without missing out needed knowledge. With topics that are more difficult, goes into a lot of depth by explaining things that in a lesson are usually skipped over.

Time efficiency, exam qs
Time efficiency, easy to strengthen topics you struggle with and easy to recap topics you haven’t done in a long time. Exam qs are great with the self marking mark scheme to help learn how to actually get the marks
