Up Learn is the UK's leading A Level and GCSE platform, helping students achieve top grades through expert teaching, personalised learning, and 24/7 AI and human tutor support.
Our courses cover A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Economics and Psychology, as well as GCSE Combined Science, with exam-board specific content for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge International. Behind every lesson is a team of subject specialists, learning scientists, and educators obsessed with one thing: making top grades a reality for every student.
Our platform adapts in real time to each individual - identifying gaps, guiding revision, and building the exam technique needed to reach A/A* at A Level and grade 8 or above at GCSE. The results back it up: 97% of students who complete an A Level course go on to achieve A* or A.
We believe every student deserves access to outstanding education, which is why for every course purchased, we give a free course to a student who needs it. We've provided over 50,000 Up Learn Scholarships across the UK so far.
Students and families often tell us they value how supported they feel, from the quality of teaching to the responsiveness of our team, from first login to results day.
We genuinely welcome honest feedback. Reviews help us celebrate our students' results, and fuel our mission to give every learner the most effective path to success.
Our money back guarantee
A/A* or 8-8
We know what students are capable of when they have the right support. That's why we don't just promise progress - we guarantee top grades.
If you complete our course and don't achieve at least an A at A Level, or 8-8 at GCSE, we'll give you your money back.

Helpful and kind team
Personally, I did'nt find the material uplearn gave useful to me as a learner. After trying for three months into my subscription I asked for a partial refund - only paying for the first 3 months. Not only did I get an answer back straight away, the Uplearn team are very understanding and gave me a full refund.

Uplearn has helped me boost my grade
Uplearn has helped me boost my grade, as a visual learner the concepts and the way they present certain topics are amazing.
The only thing which i wish uplearn had is a button on each question or topic to save certain topics you want to remember in like a folder or area. It would make learning much more efficient in terms of flagging or saving parts that isn't too understandable at the start. So i would really appreciate if you added this feature to uplearn especially on each video or question that comes up.

Great site that keeps me ahead of my class, interactive videos that utilize active recall and test understanding. A easy to use site that makes it a productive tool rather than a burden to use. 100% would recommend to those aiming for A/A* grades.

Good experience, can be better
I am not going to lie: the promise of getting A* stands out, even though uplearn based on its impact, makes twice as likely to get A*. Still twice is fine for me. What I would criticise is the gap between videos and past papers, and unless you get very high upscore, this gap would be felt. However, I use it for dopamine. Instead of conventional pondomoro technique, use it as a reward; since, it is not effective based on time, videos take forever to finish. Putting trust on algorithm is very hard. Tutors are brilliant! I just want more videos for biology. More exam questions!!!!

Hi!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review!
Love the idea of using Up Learn as a reward - that’s a great way to stay motivated 🙌 We’re really glad you’re enjoying the tutors too!
Just a tip: you can speed up videos, and the pre-video/section quizzes are a good way to fast-track through sections you already know. We’d also love to show you how to close the gap between videos and exam papers - plus, we’re curious if you’ve found all the exam questions yet 👀
Drop us a message anytime, and we’ll walk you through how to make the most of everything and get even closer to that A*!

Perfect for students requiring structured revision
Uplearn is a fantastic tool for students who need structure and support when revising. I struggle with motivation a lot and find it very difficult to just pick up my maths textbook and start revising but with uplearn I actually want to work each day. The upbot (ai) is also an amazing support and is like having a tutor available 24/7; it explains questions step by step and keeps you involved throughout the process. Similarly, having an upscore and a clear way of knowing what you have completed helps to keep you motivated, organised and on top of it all. Finally, I love the comfort that as long as I do a hour a day consistently throughout year 12 and 13 I will get an A or A*. I have not given 5 stars because I am still new to uplearn and therefore have not had a chance to take another exam at school to see if it has helped me improve.

Here Doth Learning Cast Away All Fear
In the hush of study hours, soft and long,
Where questions linger and focus feels wrong,
UpLearn steps in without a sound,
And gently sets lost thoughts back on the ground.
Ideas unfold with patient grace,
Each concept given time and space.
Nothing hurried, nothing thin—
Just understanding settling in.
The lessons don’t rush, they wait, they stay,
Letting confusion drift away.
What once felt tangled slowly clears,
Replaced by calm instead of fear.
There’s comfort in how the learning flows,
A steady rhythm that simply knows
When to pause, when to explain,
When to ease the weight of mental strain.
I haven’t reached the final page,
Nor stood beneath an exam hall stage,
But already this much feels true to say:
UpLearn has changed how I learn each day.
Not loud with promises, not dressed in flair—
Just thoughtful teaching, honest care.
A place where learning feels human and kind,
And understanding comes, unforced, in time.

Hi Asyed,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this.
Your words genuinely mean a lot to our whole team, and we were all blown away by the thought behind this message.
What you’ve described is exactly what we hope students feel when using Up Learn: calm, supported, and able to learn at a pace that allows real understanding to settle in. We work hard to make lessons clear, patient, and human, so it’s incredibly reassuring to hear that this is coming through in your experience 😊
We totally agree that learning doesn’t need to be rushed or overwhelming to be effective. Seeing confidence grow before the exam hall even comes into view is a huge part of what success looks like to us.
We’re really glad Up Learn is changing how learning feels for you, and we’ll be cheering you on as you keep going 🚀

Incredible
Incredible, I truly believe this is the future of education, it gives you the knowledge of entire courses, broken down into short interesting videos with quizzes to allow you to truly grasp the concepts, additionally, they teach it in a way that you understand reasons why and practical applications, which really gives you an in depth understanding. There is a memory decay score that will decrease over time and the more you learn which is brilliant, overall this is the best way to assure a good grade if you’re willing to put in the effort.

the site is very easy to use
the site is very easy to use, its easy to re-watch videos or re-do quizzes until you get answers right - and has the same studying effect as blurting. It makes difficult information much easier to understand. And my favourite part is how short the videos are, so i can choose to do one mini task before school, some at break, and some after - which is like spaced revision, which is also really effective. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the lack of subtitles for videos (which is a massive nuisance and honestly means unless i use headphones I can't watch videos in quiet spaces), and the fact that spelling mistakes in my typed answers means having to restart the whole video/quiz to get 100%.

Hi Fred,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback 🙏 We’ve reached out directly so we can understand your experience in more detail, as this isn’t something we’ve seen from other students.
All of our course content is written by expert humans and undergoes extensive review. If there are specific areas that didn’t feel right for you, we’d really value the chance to look into them.
Our AI Tutor is designed to give instant, personalised feedback, and is reviewed regularly to make sure it supports students effectively. We were not able to find any conversations from your account, so we’d really like to hear more about what didn’t work as expected.
We're still quite a small team here and we genuinely care about every student’s experience. Your feedback helps us keep improving, and we’re looking forward to speaking with you soon.
