Up Learn is the UK's leading A Level and GCSE platform, helping students achieve top grades through expert teaching, personalised learning, and 24/7 AI and human tutor support.
Our courses cover A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Economics and Psychology, as well as GCSE Combined Science, with exam-board specific content for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Cambridge International. Behind every lesson is a team of subject specialists, learning scientists, and educators obsessed with one thing: making top grades a reality for every student.
Our platform adapts in real time to each individual - identifying gaps, guiding revision, and building the exam technique needed to reach A/A* at A Level and grade 8 or above at GCSE. The results back it up: 97% of students who complete an A Level course go on to achieve A* or A.
We believe every student deserves access to outstanding education, which is why for every course purchased, we give a free course to a student who needs it. We've provided over 50,000 Up Learn Scholarships across the UK so far.
Students and families often tell us they value how supported they feel, from the quality of teaching to the responsiveness of our team, from first login to results day.
We genuinely welcome honest feedback. Reviews help us celebrate our students' results, and fuel our mission to give every learner the most effective path to success.
Our money back guarantee
A/A* or 8-8
We know what students are capable of when they have the right support. That's why we don't just promise progress - we guarantee top grades.
If you complete our course and don't achieve at least an A at A Level, or 8-8 at GCSE, we'll give you your money back.

this is just awful. The statistics are absolutely skewed also, it makes me sick thinking kids actually use this. It's an absolute rip off. I don't have the time to type a whole essay on why lol

Well-Structured A Level Chemistry Support
The way the topics are brought up keeps one interested and engaged throughout. The lessons are of short duration, easy to grasp, and the assessment at the end makes them very helpful

Good but needs some more work.
Alright but needs work. I don't think UpLearn is well catered for students with lower grades, instead helping students who are already doing well do better. The video layout is helpful, but the inclusion of content that won't be in the exams is extremely unhelpful and confusing. I also don't like how different subjects have different layouts (Chemistry and Biology are completely different, with Biology having barely any videos in comparison). I don't think this is good for dyslexic or already struggling students, and I wouldn't recommend UpLearn to anyone already struggling with a subject. Moreover I think that a lot of topics are too draw out and some videos/quizzes feel like fillers to broaden out their content which makes a lot of UpLearn feel overly time consuming to cover a small amount of course content. I do think UpLearn has loads of potential to be really helpful but has lots more room to grow.

Thank you for leaving your feedback, and for the five stars! It's great to hear that you're finding the videos and exam practice so helpful 🌟
As you mentioned we're not currently able to transfer progress when an exam board is changed, but we really appreciate hearing all of our students thoughts, and we'll be sure to pass this on internally.
It would also be super helpful if you could drop us a message on the chat channel and show us where in the course question particles have felt long.
We've been working on shortening some of these as a result of student feedback, so we'd like to investigate this 💯
Thank you again for your feedback. We’re excited to support you every step of the way to ace those exams!

Fresh approach. Helps find a way to study effectively.
Uplearn has helped my son achieve his goals when he didn’t do well enough first time round. He said he found the approach different and fresh, making it a shake-up from school lessons. This meant that he found ways of learning that really worked for him. Communication with him and myself was very good by Uplearn.

AVOID - DO NOT READ PURCHASED REVIEWS
Uplearn is the newest piece of garbage, written by Chatgpt in react and forced down the throats of people who have no other option.
The website forces you to watch their low-quality and watered down videos, which could be condensed tenfold, but are not. If you try to watch them at 2x or skip any part, the video is then not counted as watched. You can not leave it as playing and do anything else either, because at seemingly random timestamps the website throws questions.
The £400 promise would make anyone who knows anything about economics facepalm - the astronomically high cost creates an image of eliteness, and presumption of high quality, and when most people do not get the promised A/A* by the website - they just get their money back, which means they are still in high margin profit, no matter what!
The website is also poorly made as far as frontend design goes. Many things don't work, don't fit any real aspect ratios, there is no proper mobile compatibility (are we back in 1994?).
Overall - the educational equivalent of a ponzi scheme, except instead of the upper chain member getting the money of his referrals, the owner takes all the money and provides a subpar, inadequate, misconfigured, untested and unfinished product.

Hi Irop,
We haven’t been able to find an account matching this name, so we’re unable to connect your experience with any of our students. Please reach out to our team at team@uplearn.co.uk so we can help directly.
We’re proud that thousands of students have achieved A and A* grades with us, and we’re always working to improve both the learning experience and our technology.
All of our courses are created by subject experts and built with active learning principles. That’s why videos include interactive questions - to ensure students stay engaged and make real progress rather than just passively watching content.
Using 2x speed should still mark your videos as watched, so I’d really like to investigate what’s happening for you there.
We don’t use any multi-level marketing. Our only referral programme is a simple one: a student shares a discount link with a friend, and if that friend purchases, both receive £20 as a thank you.
We’d really value the chance to resolve this for you, so please do get in touch.

Best £399 you will ever spend
The £399 I spent on my son's UpLearn package was the best money I ever spent. Much cheaper than a tutor. I only wish I had done it at the start of Year 12 - we didn't even know about UpLearn until the start of Year 13. My son didn't meet the criteria to qualify for the money back guarantee as he started in October of Year 13 (so the time was too hard to commit) but that was all irrelevant; he got an A in any case and met his top uni offer. As a teacher, I could see how well-organised and diagnostic the platform is. It made revision easy and he was able to ace the multiple choice section of the exam, which I am sure was a grade booster.
Thank you UpLearn.

Brilliant support for my child’s A-Level studies
As a parent, I can’t recommend Uplearn highly enough. It has been absolutely transformative for my child’s revision. The platform explains even the most difficult topics in such a clear and engaging way — short videos, interactive questions, and spaced repetition that really make the knowledge stick. My son now feels far more confident and focused in his studies, and it takes so much of the stress out of revision for both of us.
One feature I particularly value is the parental access. It’s so easy to follow my child’s progress without having to nag or worry. I can see exactly how much time he spends studying. A tiny tip for the Uplearn team — it would be wonderful to also have daily tracking, not just weekly, so I could better support him with time management.
What really impressed me is how the smart system keeps the student engaged. It doesn’t allow them to just “sit there” — it constantly checks understanding with different styles of questions, so focus is always maintained. For us, Uplearn hasn’t replaced a tutor entirely, but it has been an excellent revision course and a huge boost to independent learning.
I also appreciate Uplearn’s fair pricing. During summer holidays we decided to take a break, and I was able to cancel the subscription easily — yet all the progress was saved. When we reactivated after two months, everything was right there waiting for us, which was such a relief.
Overall, Uplearn has made revision more effective, less stressful, and genuinely enjoyable for my child. A brilliant platform and highly recommended to other families!

I highly recommend UpLearn to anyone studying Economics at A-level.
The videos are literally little golden nuggets, they explain even the most complex concepts in a super concise and (fun) manner.
You’ll literally sit there and think: wait… that actually makes so much sense!
The practise questions right after the videos is the best way to see if you really understand the concept.
I love how UpLearn also has a scholarships program for students who may not be able to afford it.
UpLearn will LITERALLY save your grades!

We have not been able to locate your account, so please can you reach out to us via the chat channel so we can understand a bit more about your experience?
The Up Score only ever decreases slightly over time to reflect memory decay.
This ensures that content is periodically revisited, keeping your knowledge sharp and helping you perform to an A/A* standard in your final exams.
This minimal decrease rarely affects eligibility for our money-back guarantee.
Thank you again for the 5* and we wish you all the best in your next steps!

Absolutely fantastic platform!
UpLearn is an absolutely fantastic revision platform. I actually used it to teach myself the OCR A Level chemistry course ahead of applying to study Graduate Entry Medicine as a mature student. I was able to teach myself the course in 6 months using UpLearn's resources almost exclusively. The videos are well structured and clear, constant testing reinforces understanding and their tutors were super responsive to my queries, as stupid as some of them were! Highly recommend.
