Data analytics internship at Uptrail
My experience with the Uptrail internship program has been really positive. I found it interesting and valuable, especially learning Python for data analytics—it gave me a strong foundation and practical skills I can apply to real projects. Although it was challenging at the beginning since Python was new to me, after about two weeks of project work I got used to it and started feeling more confident. The sessions with my mentor, Ryan, were very engaging and supportive. She explained concepts clearly, encouraged us to think critically, and emphasized the importance of consistent practice.
The books (pdf) files, websites, and links we were given were also very useful and helped me keep improving outside of class. One thing I’ve learned is that without real effort, it’s easy to feel like giving up—but I’m grateful I didn’t. Overall, the program met my expectations and helped me grow both technically and professionally.

Amazing opportunity with Uptrail
I had a great experience with Uptrail, my mentor was very nice and supportive, she also listened to us when we had something to clarify or complaints, but in general there was not a lot to say, everything was clear and fluent as it was. The only thing that I would recommend improving is to do more practical work during the classes, so that people better learn to use the tools we are supposed to use during our projects, especially for people who have a little experience with the data analysis.

My experience at the Uptrail retreat…
My experience at the Uptrail retreat was genuinely enriching. The sessions were well-structured, and the facilitators demonstrated both expertise and empathy. Although online, learning about the Business Analyst role in this relaxed yet focused setting helped me connect theory with real-world applications, primarily through the interactive exercises and case studies.
What Uptrail is doing well:
- Clarity and structure: The course content was broken down in a way that made complex concepts accessible, even for those new to the field.
- Supportive atmosphere: The facilitator created a safe space for questions, reflection, and peer learning—something that’s often missing in traditional training.

I aplied through linked for data analyst internship. and then they sent me an approval email and the asked me to pay 49$ to proceed with the application. No legit company asks you to pay to work for them. The company looks legit but it is a SCAM.

Nothing but a Paid Scam
Absolutely misleading and unethical company. I applied for their so-called “internship” through LinkedIn, and at no point in the job post did they mention that you’d be expected to pay to work for them. After receiving a “congratulations, you’ve been shortlisted” email, I discovered the catch buried further down – they demand £59 to “complete a course” before you can even start. This is not an internship, it’s a scam designed to trick students and job seekers into paying money under false pretenses.
No reputable company would ever ask candidates to pay to work. They prey on people looking for genuine opportunities and waste your time with fake promises. Shameful and exploitative practice. Avoid this company at all costs.
