Received a phone call before the order…
Received a phone call before the order went into printing to clarify everything. I accidentally made two separate orders, and they combined them and refunded the extra postage charge. The quality is also top of the line.

Amazing service
I ordered a mat from Venombattlegear. The team couldn't be more helpful, they helped me with the sizing of the image and ended up making a fantastic mat for me. Simon went above and beyond contacting me to help me get my play mat made in a quick manner. Couldn't recommend Venombattlegear more.

We've been using Simon for well over a…
We've been using Simon for well over a year now, and it couldn't be a better experience. We've had hundreds of custom mats printed and never had an issue.
The attention to detail and customer service is second to none, every time we send artwork and we've made an error, he's either talked us through the fix, or carried out the fix without any extra charge.
With all that being said, we've not mentioned the quality of the mats and prints themselves which are always exactly what we wanted, on a great quality mat. We've used other companies previously which had issues with ink smudging and running through the mat, and I can safely say we've not had one issue like that with Simon.
we wouldn't look anywhere else, this is the place you need.

I didn't need AI to complete this order
I am very happy with the contact that was made to ask clarifying questions on my order. My product was printed and sent to me very quickly too.
At the time that I was contacted, I wasn't able to adjust the design to make room for the ink bleeding on the edges. To try and remedy this, I was asked if they could run it through Photoshop's AI to generate more edge space, with the implication that it had already been used before I'd given permission. I was quite shocked to be asked that as this was my own design, but they respected my wishes not to use it afterwards. Yes it would only be stored on the local computer, but the platitude I was given was "when you upload art online, you're already giving people permission to feed it to AI". I was quite disheartened by this statement as I really do not agree with it.
The finished product was achieved without the use of AI, and they were otherwise very respectful.

Hi Victoria thank you for your review, and I'm glad you are happy with the final product. And i totally appreciate you wanted to make the edits yourself, which is why I contacted you. I contact all my customers when there is an artwork issue like this, to make sure they are happy first.
I just wanted to add a note on here for readers as I feel this is a little misunderstanding.
Firstly, we don't have 'ink bleeding' in our printing, 'bleed' is just a technical term for extra print that is trimmed off, to ensure over the edge printing. I understand that this is confusing. Just reassuring you and our customers that this is normal.
As for the generation... this Feature is purely the generate feature in Photoshop, it's part of the software and is simply a tool. It's not really that different from using a removal tool for example. In this case the Generate fill tool would have simply added 5mm around the edges of the artwork. It is not stored locally after generating it, it was simply deleted. So nothing has changed, nothing from your artwork is stored, in any kind of database, it is 100% safe and the whole process is local. I was just trying to reassure you and I respected that you didn't wish to use the generated 5mm bleed.
I Just don't want customers to read this and think that I'm uploading artworks to AI's because I don't do that. I do however, also offer AI upscaling to customers upon their approval.
I'm Really sorry... I think you have misunderstood me as I did NOT say that when you upload artwork online, you are already giving permission for the use of AI. I was simply expressing my concerns about doing this online in general as you expressed concerns about AI seeing your artwork.
I did indeed say to you that - if you upload artwork online to social media for example, that AI's can have access to your artwork, just to make you aware of the risks, if you are really concerned about your artwork being seen by AI's and used for referencing.
I thought I was giving you helpful information because I care about my customers and I like to share my knowledge if it helps. As a professional designer / artist / web designer myself this is my field of expertise. For example there is even a tag that can be added to your artwork online on certain platforms like Artstation to tell Ai's not to reference your image for use in generation. But if you upload artwork to the web it really can be scanned by an Ai and used as a reference for image creation. Also a note that artworks uploaded to our site for orders, are NOT visible online, only to admin and the user if they created an account, so they are totally safe.
I hope this makes more sense and you and others reading can understand. Thankyou again for your order and review.
