Overbooked flight, delayed refund!!!

One of the most horrid experiences booking a flight from Abu Dhabi, UAE to Jeddah, KSA.
Made the booking online and received an e-mail confirming tickets will be held for 6 hrs.
Paid in cash through one of their outlets at Al Ansari Exchange.
Within half an hour of them receiving payment, I received an e-mail that the booking was cancelled.

I tried to contact them but they had no UAE phone number so I sent them an e-mail.
I received an e-mail that my flight was fully booked, and holding my ticket means nothing apparently.

I called their customer service in India multxiple times and they clearly do not care about their customers.
Never called back, rude, refer you to someone else who does not answer.

When replying to your e-mail would give least amount of information and does not answer questions
or complete your request for my refund which I paid in cash not an hour ago.

If you want to waste 4 hours of your life in anger and despair running after your own money for no use
this is the service to use.

Cheating Website

I am gonna put this review because of the following reasons.
1. Rude customer service
2. Cheating cancellation policy
Had booked a flight with them, for changing the dates, they have asked me exactly same amount of money i have used for booking.
For cancelling the same ticket, they have told they will take all the amount which i have made for booking. But all they advertise is Free cancellation.

Cheating people.

AVOID!!!!!!

So after a £76 pound phone call 45 emails which half were not responded to I was only given a partial refund which when o check the terms and conditions and even the operator advised me I would only be charged and airline fee and a admin fee so overall I should of received back roughly 260 pound I receive 80 odd pound. And I accidentally booked twice so they robbed me twice.

I checked all terms and conditions and it seems my ticket which was refundable may I add simpley has been ignored and to via it is only refundable for the amount they make up!

Please do not fall victim to this. Go with Thai airways or some else as they are amazing.

And they will respond not doubt saying this is not true and I was told but my emails prove what I am saying and fact ivhave spent 3 months chasing them says it all

Shocking

I am absolutely floored that this company is still in business. They are a total scam. I bought two tickets from Bangkok to Utah (USA) and shortly after they sent me an email saying they would issue the tickets shortly. After TWO WEEKS of waiting and no ticket, they emailed again and said the transaction had been cancelled because of some "error." They promised to refund our money back to the same card we used to pay with. It has now been 2 months, no sign of the money, and i keep getting the run around on the phone. Nobody has been helpful on the phone and I am about to give up but I really don't want to see them win! I can't handle that they are getting away with scamming people out of their hard earned money!
3/18/2017 UPDATE- As of last week, we received our money back. i had spent the previous week on the phone with a representative at least 3-4 times a day hoping to speak to someone who could help us out. After all that nagging and threatening (kindly) I was shocked to see that our money had been returned! (Total time to get our money back, 2 months) So bottom line i would still never work with them again of course but after much hassle and approx 5 hours on the phone total we got our money back.

My review of Via.com - Good deals on flight tickets & excellent customer support

I was flying to San Francisco on a business trip and had booked my tickets on Via.com. My connecting flight from Delhi to Hong Kong (Air India) got delayed by around 6 hrs due to a faulty landing gear. The onward flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco (Cathay Pacific) had already left by the time I landed in Hong Kong and I was clueless what to do next. I checked with Cathay Pacific help desk and was told that they wouldn't be able to help me as the delay was not due to a Cathay Pacific flight. I was at my wits end and checked for seats on the next flight to San Francisco. To my shock, every single flight from Hong Kong to SF is fully booked for next 2 days due to Comic Con. I called up the Via.com help desk and told them of my dilemma. I was not expecting any help really, my thought was at least they will be able to book me a flight back to Delhi. To my surprise, the call center supervisor, Mr. Hari, got me a seat on the next Delta Airlines to SF by paying just 25% of the full fare. I have booked flights from several sites over the years and the experiences have ranged from good to outright horrible. But this is was the first time I was totally blown away by the amazing customer support by a travel portal. I saw several Via.com reviews and found it hard to believe that so many people had a bad experiences with the site. My guess is that we tend to vent out only when things go bad and rarely appreciate a great customer experience. This review about Via.com is my attempt at trying to reverse the trend and giving credit where it's due.
