The Crown at Ardleigh,
Our server was Emma.
My Uncles 80th birthday lunch.
I had requested a nice quiet table for the occasion and it was perfect. Nice window views and candles nearby. Emma was delightful, patient and her product knowledge was excellent. Very accomodating with regards awkward menu requests like no bbq sauce and extra custard. Please say thankyou to her from us xx

We went to the Quorndon fox for lunch today, for a family get together.
I was disappointed on arrival ,the staff member said I had made an error with my booking and she would have to put 2 tables together. I had asked for 5 people snd a toddler in a high chair ? The disgruntled manner she told me , in front of a queue of customers was rather harsh.
Food was ok, but I have to say my mother's sharing platter was a let down. The ribs were like leather, so hard , they were inedible. Chorizo fantastic, chicken strips were very dry.
Such a shame

Ordered pie and mash, got chips, eventually mash arrived too late dinner was eaten already, server said they were busy!! Pie awful, fish and chips kept hot for too long and chicken parmigiana well overcooked couldn’t even cut it!! Asked to see manager but kept waiting 10minutes as she was “busy” . We were so looking forward to our meal- but never again. Also enough rocket on plate(with chicken) to feed a family!!

The White lion Allesley is such a pleasant country pub that never disappoints,foods great and its in the perfect country setting, our server Hannah was friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be back, Thank you 😊

Went for dinner and drinks at The Commodore inn Helensburgh on the 17th June 2026 . We were served by Felicity and Nicole mainly but one other waitress who we sadly did not get the name of. We were very pleased with the service and quality of food. Felicity was friendly and very helpful especially with the chosen wine so we are very grateful .

I'll start by saying the guy that served us was friendly. However the food was obviously left on a warming plate far too long.
I will not be returning to their Fareham pub!

Visited The Otter, London Road, Kegworth we were a group of 4 with one small dog.
Seated in a very nice table, bay window close to bar. We were immediately shown to our table and promptly asked what we'd like to drink, menus provided. Everything on menu was available and we all opted for Starters and Sunday Roast Dinners, though all chose a differently. Starters came within 20 minutes, giving us time to chat, all good sized portions and very tasty. A nice 20 minute break again before main courses. I had chosen Turkey, lovely and moist and plenty of it. My husband had Pork with a huge piece of crackling, the best he has had he said. My other friends had nice Beef (just pink enough) and Lamb not pink and how preferred. Plenty of veggies, nice crunchy toasties, big Yorkshire puds and individual pots of delicious gravy. My friends had Sticky Toffee Pudding, I couldn't manage another mouthful. With two rounds of drinks, some non alcoholic, the bill came to £128 which we felt was very fair for plentiful good food and great service. This is the 2nd time we have visited and will definitely be back!

The Colney Fox at London Colney has just had a major refurb. So my wife and I took up the offer (pre-booked), to book a table and try their revamped menu. Having been a customer in the past, things had not been great, but this relaunch event was brilliant. Service, surroundings and the food was superb. It looked, smelled and tasted fantastic. I had beef shin, the wife had chicken skewer. When the food arrived we were not disappointed. Another couple on an opposing table (the man) had the speciality pie and guess what, I'm having that on my next visit. Everything in the pub/hotel has been tastefully refurbished/themed. The staff were attentive (Amy was our server), and she proved to be an excellent member of staff. All an all, a great evening was had. I sincerely hope vintage inns maintain the Colney Fox to the high standards my wife and I experienced that evening.

The food was nasty (vegetarian roast). The potatoes were hard. The food was mildly warm. Supposed to have a Yorkshire pudding but not on plate. The service was awful. Did not ask at any time if food/drinks were ok.
Kept the bill so I could complete the survey as printed on the bottom. When I tried to complete it, it states that the survey is no longer available!

Whilst our food and service at The Crown Ardleigh, Essex was good I have now been slapped with a car parking fine to the tune of £60-£100. My husband routinely collects me when I meet my friend at The Crown and on this occasion we left a smidge slower. It is blatantly clear that the car is waiting from the pictures, the lights are on, you can see a person in the car. I feel this is sharp practice and as such The Crown and their sister restaurant (The Beagle, Ipswich) have lost our business. My friend and I would meet at The Crown every 3 months or so so not a small amount to lose over the years and I visited The Beagle for Sunday lunch on about the same time scale. Well Vintage Inns if you’re happy to lose customers spending a considerable amount of money with you over the years I doubt you will be in business for very long!!

Speedy delivery of drinks and food, however, the meal was barely warm, the roast potatoes were burned black, the pork 'crackling ' was soft fat, and the food was covered in black pepper. What is the point of providing seasoning grinders? My wife loves puddings, but was to angry to bother.
The waitress seemed inexperienced and and inattentive, and we waited ages for her to clear the table and bring the bill.

I am extremely disappointed by the way we were treated during our recent visit to Walton Fox pub, especially as we have been loyal customers for over 30 years.

We were visiting for my partner’s birthday with our 18-month-old dog, who is very friendly but can occasionally become startled by certain male figures. During our visit, one individual stopped, stared directly at our dog after he barked briefly, and then swore at him. We found this behaviour completely unacceptable and upsetting. We also felt there were racial undertones in the way the overall situation was handled, which made the experience even more uncomfortable.

I approached the manager, Lindsay, expecting the matter to be handled professionally and fairly. Instead, I was shocked when she falsely accused our dog of biting another customer — something that absolutely did not happen at any point. She claimed this was captured on CCTV, yet when I asked to see the footage, she refused. This only reinforced our belief that the accusation was completely untrue.

What made this even more confusing was that only two weeks earlier, the same manager had been interacting very positively with our dog. However, during this incident, she suddenly claimed she had never seen him before.

What should have been a pleasant birthday celebration turned into a distressing and upsetting experience. Earlier in the evening, staff had been interacting positively with our dog, which makes the later accusations even harder to understand.

We attended expecting a welcoming environment but instead left feeling unfairly treated, wrongly accused, and deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism shown when we tried to report unacceptable behaviour from another customer.

After over three decades of visiting this pub, this experience has left a very negative impression on us.

Excellent surroundings, food and service at The Red Lion, Earlswood today.

I took my elderly mother to the Boat Inn in Spotborough yesterday for a treat lunch.

We were both extremely disappointed with the level of service we received as well as the food itself. The food was overpriced for the quality.

I did make a complaint online to Vintage Inns yesterday, but no one has taken the time to get back to me.

Went to Swallows Returm in Worthing for a lunch with friends. My husband and I have been a few times before but our friends it was their first experience. Service excellence, as we hadn’t booked we were welcomed, except my husband is disabled and walks with a stick and we were sat at the furthest table from the front door!
We ordered from the set lunch menu which sounded perfect. One lasagne, one chicken salad, one bacon chop and a fisherman’s pie. My chop came with a stick of pineapple where the centre core had not been removed. But the fisherman’s pie contained 1 prawn and I piece of fish??? We asked for more fish and were given four prawns. It was mostly sauce and potato.
Then dessert, I ordered apple and blackberry crumble where I found only one piece of apple in a blackberry juice.
Very poor quality of two dishes and this reflects very badly on your menu.

Great service from vintage inn at the oystercatcher. Customer Service was great. The food was delightful. Liz our server was brilliant. All in all a great meal out

We used to visit the cuckoo in Hampton regularly some years ago it has nice ambience and service but the food is now horrendously overpriced and poor value.
Avoid!

Visited the Sandpiper on 11/04/26
We were greeted by lovely staff the assistant manager Ross assigned Faye to look after us a lovely girl on her first day we were very pleased with her service very attentive without over imposing we love the Sandpiper & with quality staff like Faye & the quality of the food she shall keep coming back.

A frequent visitor to The Greyhound Pub in Brentwood. I just wanted to make a special mention to Sophie, who was excellent today. A great smile goes a long way, but she was also friendly, helpful and very professional. Thank you for looking after the vegetarian, Siva, and me!

We accept we don’t go on that often maybe once or twice per month. But having visited our local Vintage Inn on Good Friday, to spend a gift voucher from a Valentine meal (which was dire), otherwise we wouldn’t have gone. The experience reinforced our first impression. Surroundings - lovely, service exceptional, but food and price were not in line. For an oversized chicken goujon with lettuce and sticky rice massively overpriced at £21.50 then a burger at £19.50. Sorry quality doesn’t match price. We don’t mind paying a reasonable price for good food. But I’m sorry, they don’t do it!!!
The place was virtually empty on a what should have been a busy night, ditto Valentines night Vintage - M&B you need to rethink how much you can dumb down your menu to raise the margins. Surely an empty restaurant doesn’t make profit!!!
