Service is not the same

Service is not the same. New CS people are clueless on what they are doing and trying to avoid as much work as they can.

Very unprofessional. I miss the old CS contact.

Service is slower, less professional, not the same…

More than once now they provide quotes for shipping and then write to me with an update that there was an error in their pricing. Of course the price always ends up being higher than the original quote! Also, they don’t let you see the original receipt from the courier themselves so whatever their overhead or personal charges are, you’ll never see this itemized! I’m looking into switching to a different service. Once they moved to a new location, their service just wasn’t the same. I’m not sure if their is new management or new employees but in the past they NEVER gave me wrong quote information and were FAST.

I would STAY COMPLETELY AWAY from this company, they have built in some dark patterns in their UI and process to wring the most money out of you. As one example, it takes literally 1-click to add a New Recipient right away to your account (and that they'll begin to charge you $5/month/recipient immediately) but it's a 3-step process to "request removal" (you can't remove yourself), after which the process will do nothing (but you think it did). The recipient will remain and they'll charge you $5/month for each recipient in the mailbox. There's other virtual mail/address providers out there, don't get burned by this company and then have to go through the hassle of switching like we did.

One day, no more mail

I have been using their service for a few years. They had to move location and sent 1(!!!) Email about the change that I unfortunately missed. I'm behind on my property tax with hundreds of dollars panelty.
Such a big change MUST be properly communicated!!!
This is unprofessional behaviour.

Update: after all the above mess they kept of billing me..... Very poor operation and support.

A few suggestions to improve…

A few suggestions to improve virtualpostmail.com.
1. I have called customer support about 10 times now and have never been able to get someone to answer the phone. I suggest hiring more people to answer the phone.
2. Offer UPS when shipping packages. Make it simple, show the price of UPS and USPS and allow the customer to select which option they want.

This company went above and beyond

This company went above and beyond to make my life easier. If you are a very nomadic person, this is much better than the Postscan and iPostal1 type services. If you are nomadic, this business caters to people like you. With many other places, they subcontract their services out to local places and provide them software and training. If you need support, you can get it from the local place or from their main call center. With the main call center, you might get someone good, you might get someone terrible. With the local place, they may do a variety of different things: they may be doing all sorts of shipping for other people, they might lease out space, they may be a retail store where people stop in and buy boxes and send something while your package is sitting on the counter waiting to be processed. If this local places decides to no longer work for the franchisor, you have to find a new location, which can be extremely inconvenient. There also may be new people being hired all the time at the local place without much oversight from the larger company. It's a bit riskier. Because VPM is slightly smaller than larger competitors but own their own buildings, I got a different level of support. I had a problem due to unexpected difficulties I was personally dealing with and they were extremely flexible and bent over backwards to accommodate me, going far above and beyond what they needed to do. They saved me 60 hours of time during a time when I had no time and I was busy and exhausted. There are a few downsides to this company: they tend not to be available 24 hours a day because they don't run a call center, but do respond quickly to questions. Another downside is their website portal shows some shipping costs and prices if you are sending something out, but it does not automatically show you all the different shipping options and costs that are available. If you want to ship using another option not listed, it's less convenient. With all the locations VPM has, they own and control them, there's less risk. VPM was extremely reliable for me, easy to reach, did everything I asked for and did a lot they didn't have to do. If you are a nomadic person looking at different options due to traveling or lifestyle, this is an A+ option.

3-months happy user

I've been using this service for 3 months. I only have positive experiences.
The email is scanned daily and sent via email as an attached pdf. I once had to use the option to have the mail forwarded to me. It was sent fast and delivered in excellent quality.
I used this service for mail (letters and documents) and can recommend it for this purpose.

Fast, Friendly & Responsive

Any questions were answered quickly with links & tips to better help me understand and this made the whole process of signing/setting up a breeze. The website is intuitive and they also have videos on utube to help. I did a bit of research before I chose Virtual Post Mail and they seemed to have the best value overall. So far I couldn't be happier with their service. Thanks VPM! :)

Absolutely horrible useless "service"

We've been paying VPM $35 a month in anticipation of moving abroad, which got delayed multiple times due to COVID. We've wasted many hundreds of dollars. They advertise their "service" as working just like any other mailbox. The USPS refuses to forward our mail to our new "address" with VPM and when I contacted VPM for help, they recommended having my neighbor forward my mail to my "new overseas address" ... which is not feasible because we don't have a permanent address while we're getting settled. Their cheeky "solution" basically means their expensive service is beyond useless. I'm furious!

Amazing service and absolutely worth of every penny! i am with VPM since 2009, almost 12 years now and during this time period i never faced even a single issue. Very prompt response every time with a proper and systematic resolution on a reasonable fee. i gave 4 stars just because of the fact there overseas shipping charges from fedex and ups are way high and they are unable to give any discount on it.

stay away scammers

I singed up and sent in everything asked from them, later i get an email saying my id is not accepted because its suspended or cancelled. What the hellllllll..... my license is good they just stole my money and give a run around. I was unable to get through to a live person.

Had a great experience with VPM

Writing this review after signing up with another virtual mail provider who is much worse. I was with VPM from 2015 to 2020 and they never let me down. The fees were reasonable and the scanning was fast. I wish I never cancelled. Their support was even timely and helpful. I never had a single complaint about their service. As long as they haven't changed since last year, I recommend them, especially since their competition is way worse.

Read before using this company!!!!

They do not allow pick-ups! So you always have to pay for any package shipment(can be pretty expensive) You cannot just add any amount of credit other than their pre-set figures, so you wanna put in $16 for shipping cost? you gotta put in $25. it's a very classic scam.

My cc was charged to an amount without my prior consent.

I did not authorize the transaction, let alone the skyrocketing amount they had charged. They offered no remedy, and only blamed the shipping company. Shouldn't that be illegal???

Extremely efficient and great service - for over 5 years now!!

I've been a customer of Virtual Post Mail for 5 years, and I have found their service to be absolutely perfect! I'm not sure I can recall a single error VPM has made - not one.

Any time I have contacted support I have received an intelligent, thorough, and prompt response - polite, professional and helpful.

I live full-time in a motorhome, and travel the country routinely. VPM has been exceptional for me - and at very reasonable cost.

FYI, I was with Traveling Mailbox for less than a year and switched to VPM because I was unhappy. Traveling Mailbox's service was sluggish and their support sort of snippy and unhelpful.

After 18 months I'm extremely happy…

After 18 months I'm extremely happy with VirtualPostMail. I've used it as my primary address while traveling long term. The UI is very simple and intuitive. Scans and forwarding have always been very fast. Scans are of excellent quality. The price seems reasonable, even though we don't get a lot of mail.

A couple of times I've asked for mail to be scanned and it turned out to be a booklet. I was happy that they informed me and gave me the option to forward, rather than scanning all the pages.

Beware!!

I attempted to use them intermittently as I was moving to maintain a stable address, but then decided to use them once I was settled also.
A family member sent me a package last week and i was alerted to it via email. I logged on and forwarded the mail to my current location, which had worked no problem just a week before with some other forwarded mail.
The cost to forward the mail was $11+ but I did it anyways. Now a week later and after filing a claim with USPS the package has landed back at virtualpostmail's facility!
The customer service representative who was assigned to me "Laura" said it's not their fault and that it looks like I must have filed a change of address with USPS causing this loop. She then continued by saying since its not their fault (which it is since I didnt file a change of address) that they will not issue a refund.
So to get my family's package they sent me they said I could drive up and get it myself (still paying them a fee of course) or to upgrade to UPS or Fedex to get it redelivered.

Do not use this service. I thought it would be convenient as I travel alot. It's a waste of money and a waste of time. There are so many other services out there to give your money too that actually value their customers!!

Affordable, good UI, no issues

I've been a customer for years, and never had any issues. It's also one of the few mail scanning/forwarding services with a nice, clean user interface. The pricing is also great for someone who receives relatively few pieces of mail, and they offer free registered agent service and an additional recipient free of charge.

Excellent service, reasonable price

We've been using this company now for about 2 years and have been very happy with it. We are Americans living abroad 10 months a year, so this is a very convenient service. I get an email every time mail comes in, I log into my account and get scans of my mail. I can download the mail to my computer, or If I want something to be physically forwarded, it's a reasonable fee. I have the account that costs $20/month, and this has been enough to cover all our mail. Occasionally I worry about fraud, especially when something sensitive comes in, but so far so good! I think these guys are very legit, in order to set up the account, I had to send in notarized forms that would allow them to handle US mail on our behalf. I would definitely recommend them.

Highly unrecommended

Highly unrecommended. Very bad experience.
They do not realize your mail is your personal property, and the seriousness of handling it.
This was my first experience with 'virtual mailboxes'. I have since learned that the company to choose is the one who has been around the longest and that paying more is worth it. They should be shut down.
