I think this site is extremely biased…
I think this site is extremely biased towards ExpressVPN. They gave some downright erroneous information in a comparison review with another VPN provider. Many VPNs which work well in China get a bad score, while many VPNs can't using in China are said to be useful in China.

Not vpnMentor's fault! Read on..
Great information. Bad reviews are wrong - the inaccurate information is not vpnMentor's fault necessary - it is, sorry to say, NORD's fault. When you click the deal on vpnMentor site it takes you directly to Nord's site who do NOT honour the FREE 3 month deal! Nord themselves offer the FREE 3 month deal but that is fake. Even entering a discount coupon offered by themselves and vpnMentor, indicate that it has been accepted but at checkout it shows that it has NOT! Nord are responsible ultimately for these deals - they inform vpnMentor that they are accepted and in place but they are not. Nord have a 3 month FREE Christmas deal ending on 11th January 2021 - it does not work, it is nowhere to be seen on 6th January 2021- alright so 3 months is only 10€ but in principle this shows that NORD are not genuine as far as payments go. At the point of selecting a plan on their own website it shows the increase of charges (double at least) at the end of the 2 year plan - then when you reach checkout that figure has an additional 20€ added - so the pricing is deliberately mis-leading. Sure it appears the best vpn but that is not the point. Do I really want to sign up to corrupt information? Jeeez - try paying... despite it saying you can pay by PayPal, you cannot. It tries to force you to pay on your mobile phone - which, if android is not safe - and then asks you to enter your bank 8 digit password in full!!! Who does that? No-one hopefully. Forget the quote of a 5 minute job to set up - more like an hour and you will still need about 24 hours to get settled in. Don't think for one minute that you will just be able to watch UK TV, for instance, by choosing a UK server - there are all sorts of fiddling to do. Also vpnMentor.com and Nord claim that you can watch BBC iPlayer but there are many reasons why you probably cannot. BBC are the greatest at geo blocking and they have spent a fortune trying to block locations outside of the UK. Also you have to have ads if you want to watch Channel 4 because you cannot watch it if your ad-blocker is on.... it is NOT as simple or accurate as Nord say - again vpnMentor claims to have checked it and perhaps for them it works but it is likely not to work for you - just like any tech device, there is so much more to it.... by the way vpn also slows down your speed somewhat! Worse thing about Nordvpn is their payment methods are limited and by the time you pay using a non-currency account (they make you pay in US dollars) it costs you more for international currency conversions!! If you are prepared to manage your expectations to a realistic level rather than what Nord and vpnMentor advertise, then it's worth it for the privacy aspect
TL;DR Revenue-driven fake reviews
TL;DR Revenue-driven fake reviews. I've been looking for a ExpressVPN replacement and VPNmentors.com reviews were persistently present in search result. To my surprise they were filled with technical nonsense and inaccurate/outdated information on VPN services. After looking into the links directing to VPN providers present on their website it all become obvious. They are a simple affiliate marketing platform optimising their revenue. The better deal they get sending visitors to VPN company - the higher its position and review on their platform. Nothing personal - just a business. Can not expect any independent or honest review in this kind of business. My advise: double check VPN service website or contact support to see if certain feature is available and how quick support replies are.
Don't fall for this website
this website is totally inaccurate. I think this website is paid to say only fake good things about a vpn. Don't believe on VPN mentor!
Totally incorrect review from vpnMentor
Totally false advice from vpnMentor. It suggested using ExpressVPN to access BBC iPlayer. ExpressVPN currently CANNOT access BBC iPlayer (and have admitted this) and have had issues with BBC iPlayer right from the getgo. If they're providing totally incorrect advice for one VPN...well, how much faith can you put in their other reviews?
Fake review site that does not publish negatives against advertisers.
Fake review site that does not publish your reviews and is primarily a funnel for vpn provider sales. They force you to sign up with facebook or twiiter after you post in order to have your review posted (getting paid by both, I suppose).
Yeah these guys are alright I guess
Yeah these guys are alright I guess. I got what I came for when researching a VPN service for unblocking Netflix abroad. Only thing is I wasn't sure how unbiased the recommendation was (although the VPN did prove itself) because their top rated providers for whatever purpose always seem to be the same. Anyway, as stated, got what I came for so no harm done I suppose.
It's been a long embarassing journey to…
It's been a long embarassing journey to getting a VPN and I can't believe I didn't even know what they were just a week ago. The first time I heard of vpnmentor is when I saw their what is a VPN video. I clicked and clicked and clicked down the rabbit hole of their site and eventually ended up picking out a VPN - Express, if it's at all of interest to anyone. But I am always wary of being taking advantage of. So I did some reasearch and found this. I can not believe that people say they are biased. They give the bad and the good together and okay so they get paid for referrals...what is the problem with that? I am happy with what I got and I wouldn't have even gotten it if it were not for vpnmentor.
Some contradicting reviews
I've noticed on various occasions that some reviews on vpnmentor.com have contradicted other ones. For example, a review I saw today listed 'adblock plus' as one of the worst ad blockers, yet on another page 'adblock plus' was sitting pretty at number 2 on a list of best ad blockers for Firefox. Very confusing.
Questionable authenticity
After scouting out some potential new VPN providers I had a look at my current supplier and was surprised that a few important details were left off the VPN Mentor review (details which can be found on rival authentic sites like Tech Radar). For example, I recently discovered my current VPN provider is 'logging sessions' however this has not been accounted for in the VPN Mentor review and in fact, even with this monumental tossing aside of privacy they have scored the vendor in the top 5 across a number of categories! (privacy obviously not being a huge requirement for reviewing 'Virtual Private Networks'.
So I pinged them and asked them where they source their reviews - I have not had a response as yet. I was interested to leave some reviews of my own. There does not seem to be an option to review any of the VPN's on their website, goodness knows where their reviews actually come from.
