Bad Reviews are the Real Reviews

UPDATE: as exactly how I predicted it. They responded "your receipt has Wardrobeshop.world on it", like what? They would blatantly lie about seeing a receipt from me? I never uploaded it nor emailed it to them yet. Also their shop is the only sole shop I bookmarked on my browser. Laughable!

I should have trusted the bad reviews on here and from 2 other reputable sites. Do not trust the "good reviews" as they're not from actual verified reviewers, but has been solicited to increase their rating. (check the reviews saying verified, and verified only means they've been asked to do so). They also like to deflect their incompetence by saying how customers didn't actually buy from their store. Orders come with receipts! Order did not arrive and I already know how they're going to respond to this. Avoid this shop, they're stuck-up.

Should be named the Crease Shop

Pair of leather shoes I received had so much crease on them like it's been excavated from the depths of their returns.
They charge a chunk for "restocking" fee if I return.

Lucky escape

So I really wanted a pair of Oak Tree Farm boots.
As the actuall Oak Tree Farm ceased shipping to Europe, the only other, incomparably more expensive option, was to buy from The Wardrobe Shop.
After lots of thinking and deciding I eventually ordered.
Within a few hours I received an e-mail informing me that the size in the colour I ordered 'has been oversold', I was offered an alternative - the same style in a different colour and at the same time I was assured that my credit card has not been charged yet, only preauthorized, and will only be charged should I accept the offer to go with the alternative.
Because I watched these boots in both colour versions for a long time, I was aware that the colour I was being offered was sold out in my size at least a month earlier.
Rather then just replying 'Yes' or 'No' to the offer I made an enquiry about the availabitity, it took 5 days to receive a reply. In the menatime I decided that I do not want the alternative, and cancelled via 'I am no longer interested' button in the original e-mail. That cancellation never got throuhg. So I cancelled 'properly', writing a cancellation e-mail.
I soon discovered that my card had indeed been charged, two days before I even received the reply to my enquiry!
After cancelling, The Wardrobe Shop tried to keep £14, claiming that it is 'a restocking fee' allegedly imposed by the credit card processing company to cover the costs associated with processing the original transaction. The transaction that they said themselves would only happen if I accepted the alternative, which i did not!
I got my credit card provider on the case, and they got my money back for me, but with a warning that I might still need to pay this fee.
The result:
The Wardrobe Shop are an overpriced shop that does not update their website, does not keep their own promise and tries to keep money for literally nothing. I don't even want to comment on the customer service!
I recommend to everyone to first read the reviews and then decide whether they really want to buy from this online shop. If I did it, I would have NEVER ordered from them, no matter how much I wanted the boots! Still, I had quite a lucky escape.

Package Not Delivered

The process was good with taking my money. I never received a package. I was asked to send another 15$, and they would re-send the order. I reported this company. They advertise under J C Penny and L.L. Bean.

Look up this company reviews. Many consumers have had problems with this company.

Be careful!

Hi there, it is important to note that JC Penny and LL Bean are very large corporations whos brand names are trademarked, it is impossible for us to advertise under these names. What I have noticed is these companies use Wardrobeshop.world, or something to that affect in their returns process, which has caused quite a lot of trouble for us, as people making their purchases from those companies turn to us for help. once again, we are not associated with those two companies in any way shape or form.

Rude Sales Rep, Condescending service reps.

UPDATE: In response to the shop's retort, I would like to inform future customers that upon reading their responses to my reviews on a couple websites, I have concluded that this shop has minimal integrity as they would continue to bend truths in order to defend faulty and negligent customer service. To further show who's truthful, I have uploaded screenshots on Pissed Consumer, feel free to look them up on there.

The next statements are direct responses to the claims they're making in their post:

First of all, FAQ stands for "Frequently Asked Questions", simply put, it's the easiest answer to customers' questions, which is found under their POLICIES section. And to use the words I "discovered" it as if it is not on the HOME page (screenshots taken on the very same day btw). It is not a small note even, it's a MAIN bullet point, so refrain to compare it as fine print. It's negligence on your part as it clearly stated on your very own website, "Can I change it or cancel?---Yes, you can, as long as it has not started processing."

2nd, acknowledgement from me? How about acknowledge the fact that I said on our open PayPal dispute, that ONCE I am fully refunded, we'll revise our opinions regarding your shop. And btw, you did not offer full refund as you have not addressed the shipping fees as of current. The fact that not once have you apologized anywhere and still responds negatively as if you were the victim of your own negligent actions and rude service speaks volume.

3rd, the audacity to claim I pressed and pushed is laughable. In no way that ONE phone call that lasted 1 minute and 50 seconds can be considered PUSHING and PRESSING. (Again, screenshots are provided). And in that time, your husband or whoever GILBERT is, has managed to be the most rude representative in sales I've encountered so far. And after years of others' reviews, Gilbert is still your "representative". No way was he calm with his tone, he's the main reason why I decided to post reviews in the first place: for blaming me for negligent business.

Lastly, you have a "Dedicated" phone line for returns that is automated for customers to leave their name and email. As stated on my original post, I initially have opened a chat that you responded to after 12 hours, and you processed the order almost 10 hours after the cancelation request.

So do try to bend the truths more publicly or privately, 'cause it's doing more harm than good. Oh don't even try to edit your response 'cause then again, all documented.

ORIGINAL POST:

I ordered the pair of boots at 1 AM PST and requested a cancellation at the SAME hour. 9 hours later, they still printed the label saying they won't cancel the order as they shipped and item has been on transit, when in fact, it isn't. Label has only been printed and UPS does not have the item yet at this hour (5 hours after they printed label). So I called them this time, and I've had the most rude representative so far that I've dealt with as I quote, "how is this our fault, you purchased the item, didn't you? I don't have the temperament to deal with returns." If I receive the item, the return according to them would charge me 15% restocking fee and pay for shipping. How can a timely
cancellation request be missed and still blame me and be charged for the inconvenience. Humility goes a long way. I'm a very fair and just consumer when it comes to understanding and rating on yelp and Google. However, this one has made me regret for trying to do business with them. If you've read all this, do avoid and find the items somewhere else. Screenshots can be found on pissedconsumer.

This is our store policy, and can be found in the shipping section of our website. That said, however, when this customer pointed out to us that there was a small note about offering cancelations in an old FAQ that they discovered, we quickly accepted responsibility, addressed this in the FAQ, and agreed to offer them a full refund. It would be fair for this customer to acknowledge this, being that they consider themselves a fair and just consumer. Second, while rudeness is certainly not acceptable, its important to note that this customer proceeded to bypass our customer service line, and call our sales line instead. Our sales Rep calmly conveyed to this customer that they are not equipped to handle customer service related issues, and that they should contact customer service. This customer pressed, and pushed. And again, there is no excuse for rudeness, but our sales reps are really not equipped to handle customer service related issues. So for anyone reading this, please note, that if you place an order on our website, it will be shipped promptly, because we know how important it is for our customers to receive their orders quickly. And second, please refrain from calling our sales line if you've already made a purchase and need help with customer service-related issues. We have a dedicated phone line for customer service-related issues, or simply open a chat, which is available on every page of our website. Thank you again for your feedback

Cheap Dresses - Exorbitant Prices

First off I sew, a lot. My criteria for purchasing is if I can purchase cheaper than making - with the same materials and quality.

I spent $250 for a dress that could have been made for well under $100, including labor. The “separate slip” was of a cheap stretch polyester. For this kind of money I expect silk. The outer dress was of a mesh tulle that was anything but special; the cut was also far too narrow. Minimal so-so lace trim.

The headpiece fascinators they want $25+ for can be purchased via Amazon for $10 or less.

These are very simple, inexpensive dresses that hook people with good photos and flowery descriptions.

I returned the dress, and as others have stated, it was a massive hassle. Never Again.

REPLYING: yes the dress came from you, it was several years ago. I stand by my comments on quality of fabric and sewing. Cheap fabric, the seams on the “slip” made of stretch polyester were serged- not flat felled, not French seams, not a Hong Kong finish - serged. I expect that in an inexpensive garment from Cider, not in an expensive fancy dress. Also, this slip didn’t even have darts.

Should I add more?

Hello AnnMarie, thanks for sharing your experience with us! People like you, ones who have experience with sewing and garment construction usually appreciate what we do more than anybody else, purely because of the highly technical prowess of our craftspeople who make the beautiful pieces. Furthermore, I do see that someone with your name (your name is quite common, so this could be someone else) registered an account with us but no order was placed. Furthermore, $250 is a price we have not had on our tulle dresses for quite some time. I am wondering if maybe you bought a dress on ebay or some other discount site saying it was one of ours, but clearly was not? In any event, it appears to me as though this review is meant for a different company selling a different dress. We would greatly appreciate you having another look at what you purchased, and making the necessary adjustments.

To reply to your second reply, we do not sell dresses that have slips made of polyester. I do believe you have us confused with another store, especially if your experience was several years ago.

I waited 40 years to finally meet the one!

I chose DOWNTON ABBEY TEA PARTY GOWN IN SUNRISE-The dress is absolutely everything I dreamed of. The size is perfect but I highly recommend you do measurements before assuming you are a particular size. I am in between a 14 and 16 so I chose the 1X...it fit as if it was made for me. The color is a little hard to match... it's not blue and it's not green... it's a good combination... I have been describing it as kinda like eucalyptus green... absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait for our family to see me in this as I marry the man of my dreams in November. Thank you for helping make me feel beautiful for my wedding day!

Captivating

This dress is so elegant and comfortable..im a plus size girl..this dress is very flattering ..a bit costly..it is well made..I've never seen another dress of this quality...I'm so happy that I purchased this dress I would have paid more if I had to..this dress was worth every penny...

Very Durable

Customer Service was top-notch. They were able to switch my size and style before they shipped, after I placed the wrong order. Awesome. The boots are a very durable leather, but still soft and comfortable, slight imperfections in the black dye, but nothing major enough for anyone to notice without looking really hard. Very nice stacked leather heel, and a pretty ribbon for the lace up, with second set of traditional laces included. A little high in price, yet they're what I wanted and not flimsy, cheaply made junk, so I'm happy.

Lovely Detail!

The style of the Mary Darling Dress in Azure by Nataya may have been borrowed from a different era but it is not a flimsy, wear-once costume piece. It is beautifully constructed with lovely detail. I wore it to a Gilded Age themed party with an elaborate fascinator. I can wear the dress again; the fascinator, not so much. I highly recommend this product. The XL was a perfect fit, 5'6", 160lb.

Beautiful Wedding Gown!

The Parisienne Vintage Elegance Wedding Gown in Ivory is a beautiful full length dress, perfect as a wedding gown. The colour is a bit peachy/ivory. Expecially the short sleeves are beautiful made, with some kind of handmade crocheted lace! I have this one in light blue too, I think they are suitable for a special occasion.

Dress arrived packaged nicely. Color and cut was true to description on website. Also purchased long gold gloves and pearl bracelet. I am pleased with purchase and know I will be dressed appropriately and comfortable for the wedding I will be attending.

Brought the Downton Abbey Tea Party…

Brought the Downton Abbey Tea Party Gown in Quartz by Nataya for my sons wedding, just wanted to look a little different, this dress is fantastic, true to size, great quality, it's so delicate and details are amazing, just what I hoped for, delivery was very quick also which was a bonus as I'm always worried about ordering items that are not from the U.K , cannot fault this item or company at all, will definitely be using again.

Beautiful dress Great Services!

I ordered the Downton Abbey Tea Party Gown in Quartz by Nataya in size small. I’m normally a size 2 petite. The fit was great and dress is so comfortable to move around in. I just felt the quartz color blended in too much with my skin tone so I reordered in the Sunrise color. The return process was easy and I’m so looking forward to receiving it in the new color. This dress is such a refreshing change from all the usual trendy stuff that all looks the same after a while! Fun and feminine!
