Great lessons
Great lessons focussed at really teaching the little ones to swim whilst making it fun and play based. Jackie is fab and has always got a big smile on her face. She’s patient and isn’t phased by my little one having bad days- she’s consistent and kind throughout. I can really see him improving in water confidence after only a couple of months of lessons

Fantastic experience
I cannot thank Jackie at Church Farm enough for the confidence she has built in our daughter's swimming over the last 4 months. She is a like a different toddler in the pool now! The pool there is lovely and warm, and cannot fault the Waterbabies area team.

Building confidence in the water …
When Oakley was upset about going underwater, Charleen adapted his lesson, without disturbing the other children in his session, to suit him. He has built up confidence now in the water and is happier going underwater! A Fanta way to help him into his swimming experience!

If you need a gentle approach with your baby, then Water Babies is not for you.
I made that mistake as a first time mum and believed the instructors knew best. I carried on for 6 months and now my poor baby is traumatised by Water, we can't even say the word association for dunking the Babies without my baby getting hysterical.
I've joined a different company now and my baby loves it, no dunking, no pressure, as it's a child led company.

We appreciate you sharing your experience. We're sorry to hear that you didn't get on well in the lessons. The words associated with getting ready to go under water are for your little one to let you know if they don't want to go under. In the instance that they are giving that signal, we don't take them under. I'm very sorry you didn't realise the importance of this method, it gives little ones total control over letting their adult know when not to take them under. I will look into this further because it should have been made clear to you from the outset. It's also possible that your little one has started going through what we call 'the wobbles', which is totally normal and happens around the same time as separation anxiety. In this case, you may find your little one develops the same issues with the new provider. Perserverance is the key in this case as it's not directly a reaction to swimming.

My children love their weekly lessons - my daughter has attended since she was 4 months old (now 5 years old) and her brother is now following!
They are both so confident in the water and each lesson, have lots of fun safely whilst learning to swim. Above all, they love their wonderful teachers!

Well done, you. Before working for Water Babies. I took my daughter from birth to 5 years as well. Sadly, I didn't have that option for her older brothers and sister, and the positive impact it's had on her life is so obvious, I wouldn't hesitate to take her older siblings if I could take that time again. The effort you've made for your children is fantastic. I'm delighted to read your review, and hope you love your time in the pool too. I certainly did.

Fantastic teacher Jackie in 3 years I only remember 2 occasions when she wasn’t able to make the lesson so our grandson always knew who he was having teach. Admin team also friendly and always returned emails quickly.

Charlene is really great with the kids. She's so fun, kind and bubbly. Super explanatory of what each kid at different confident levels can do. It is very child led. Sad to be leaving due to starting school and no spaces available nearby - just shows how popular the classes are!

Really fun lessons where you can see your little one develop skills each lesson.
The office staff are very helpful with lessons changes. Chelsie is an amazing instructor!
Looses a star solely based on price. I am aware it's the going rate across alot of baby swims but when maternity pay is rubbish, £20odd a swim is alot, especially when lots of classes are missed with baby being ill. The catch up tokens are a good idea to resolve this, but limited local catch up options.
Overall very positive experience.

We're glad you enjoyed the lessons and found the staff helpful. We pride ourselves on the quality of our lessons.
Our catch-up facility is there to help with missed classes, but of course is space and availability-dependent. We totally understand your comment regarding price. Unfortunately, pools are very costly to run, and this is the primary reason lessons are expensive compared to other activities,s but we firmly believe it's worth it for the life skills little ones learn.

Waterbabies are an absolutely amazing company, the teachers are knowledgeable , friendly and brilliant with Kids. There is a key focus on safety but every lesson is always fun! The songs will stick in your head forever though! Jackie and Charlene in particular are just wonderful. I think everyone should choose Waterbabies to teach their children this incredibly important life skill.

Friendly and Safe
A lovely class. My daughter started lessons at 7 weeks old and has always enjoyed them. Never any tears. Very knowledgable instructors. Our teacher knew all about baby development and took extra care with my daughter as she was so young. Would highly recommend.

Water babies is our favourite part of the week. It's so well run and every employee has been helpful, welcoming and understanding. Our son absolutely loves the water and these lessons have given us confidence in the pool with him.

Worth it
We have Absolutley loved the swimming lessons with Kim. Kim is patient and kind, even when we might be having a bad day due to tiredness there is no pressure and we do what we can. We are going to miss our lessons with Kim immensely

Water babies is such a joy!
Water babies is such a joy! Me and my little one are excited for our lesson each week! The teacher is brilliant with the children and adults who attended by going at both your pace and confidence level. I started taking my little one when he was 3 months old and I have seen amazing progress with my child’s swimming ability over the last 9 months.
