DAME. Avis 109

I made an order with them on the 10th of feb. Since then I haven’t received anything. I emailed on the 22th of feb. Still nothing. My order hasn’t been shipped.

The pads are overpriced compared to competitors, you can get better made, better fitting pads cheaper. They skimped on the connectors/poppers, with 2 poppers on the smaller pad and 4 on the longer one. Most reusable pads have 6 poppers to adjust to different sized gussets and to keep the pad stable and in place.
Customer service is terrible, they say they do free returns but when I asked if they cover postage, they simply didnt respond.
I purchased a pack of 6 pads for the same price as two Dame pads, and they are of a better quality and better fit.
Edited to add that I have now received a full refund for the product, so will increase the rating to reflect a better experience of customer service.

The cotton sanitary towels are amazing , they attached firmly, very absorbents and very soft, the plastic ones always make me itchy.
Im also bought a period knickers the size and shape very nice, the cotton very soft and great they have cotton on the gusset.Most of other brands have synthetic material. The only downside it is the design in my opinion it is very ugly they look like my grandad pants. I will prefer something something a little more feminine.

I had some issues with the design and comfort of this product. The stitching is quite heavy, and there’s a noticeable buildup of seams in one area, which caused constant pressure and discomfort when wearing it. Additionally, the elastic band is very tight and wide, making it uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I eventually had to remove it to feel any relief.

Completely inexistent customer service.
They sent me the incorrect period pants and after emailing them several times to replace with right product, they have never answered, nor is it possible to reach them by chat
Now I am stuck with £60 unusable panties

EDIT: I find it fascinating that they manage to reply within 24h on Trustpilot yet my emails have been left on read for 2.5 weeks. My order is 109048 let’s see if they can finally reply.

EDIT 2: I re-sent them (in an attachement) said emails that had indeed been sent to .co address. They claimed they couldn’t find any and mentioned they are in the process to switch to a different mailbox (which I would also strongly urge them to as based on other reviews it appears like it’s not the first time they have issues with theirs - likewise they should also probably fix their online chat platform).
They confirmed the issue with the original order and proceeded with a refund. The customer service was finally efficient and they took proper care of the issue. Because of that I will give them the benefit of the doubt and update the review to 4 stars.

Dame is amazing I tried their pads and pants and there so comfortable and make me feel so secure and I love that there organic

Ordered on 10th January. It's now 6th February.
No order received, seemingly no way to track my order. No email response from customer service and seemingly no way to speak with a human. A shame because their products are great, but I will never buy direct from them again. Lots of other customers saying the same. I thought I knew the brand and could trust it which is why I didnt't research direct to consumer channel before purchasing.

If you're scaling a business I understand there can be teething problems. But you should always put the customer at the heart of what you do. Not investing in customer service is simply not acceptable.

I have not yet received my order and have paid £50 for different products!
I have received one generic email which doesn’t help and still no response after a second email!

Order arrived and their pants were too big. I emailed the same day they arrived requesting how/where to return them. I have emailed 3 more times since and had no reply.
It has now been two weeks since my original request to return and STILL had no response.
Extremely poor customer service. I'm hoping someone will see this review and actually respond so I can get these items returned!

I bought from Dame back in 2022 and I loved their product - I bought a variety of the reusable sanitary pads and loved them. I have worn them for the last couple of years and decided to rebuy 10 night time pads to replace the originals. I bought these back in June and I have leaked almost every time I've worn them (I've worn the new ones for 2 periods). They are a different design to the originals and feel less substantial. I'm absolutely gutted as I've spent over £100 on a product that hasn't seen me safely through a period. I've leaked multiple times and I won't wear them now for fear that I will leak again. I emailed on the 30th July for some advice and have yet to recieve a response from them. I'm gutted. I have recommended these to others in the past and swore by them but I feel the quality has really dipped with the ones I recieved recently. I hate leaving negative reviews and especially for a company that I have loved for the last couple of years. I know they are a small team and I wasn't expecting a fast response to my email, but it's now been 3 weeks with no reply and I'm stuck with a product that doesn't do what it should.

The size of their pads is too small (I got a mix of 2 types). I would go so far as to say they’re not size inclusive and are only really suited for smaller body types. I am not even particularly plus size, I am a UK size 14 and still find these are very small and I really do not feel protected wearing them. I’d almost go so far as to say they’re not fit for purpose for anyone bigger than a size 10/12. Advice would be to either increase the size of the pads to be suitable for more body types (there’s room for them to be bigger and still not too big for smaller folk) or consider offering different sized pads (not just absorbencies) to cater to another audience. Right now I do not recommend for anyone bigger than a size 12. Really disappointing!

I've been blown away with Dame, having recently converted to their cup. The cup is much easier to insert, more comfortable, reliable and much easier to clean! Can't reccomend it enough!

I just wanted to say thank you so much to DAME for making my switch to zero waste periods so easy. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE their period pads they are amazing. 10/10 quality 10/10 everything :) The packaging was also perfect proper chuffed, I even don’t mind their promotional emails and that’s saying something!

I had a great experience with the customer service team at Dame, they listened to my query and found a good solution for me. They have a great product that is revolutionary and is changing the period market. I’ve used Dame products for years and they haven’t let me down yet!

Keep taking money even after emailing me in June last year to say they would cancel my subscription.
Raised a dispute with my bank today to get the last two payments refunded.
October 23 and Feb 24

I have emails from you confirming cancellation but you continue to take my money.

I have been using DAME for almost a year now and I am impressed with everything I have tried. For my periods, I like to use different options on different days of the cycle. The cup works brilliantly for me on my heaviest days and can be worn all day. I tend to use tampons or period pants on lighter days, and these options work great. The reusable applicator is a game changer for sustainability and works seamlessly (I was most hesitant to use this, but the design is great)

Overall, I would recommend DAME and am pleased that switching to a sustainable alternative doesn't mean compromising on quality.

I have been susceptible to BV since I was a teenager. When I switched to DAME a few years ago, I was delighted to find that my BV disappeared over night and I now get it very rarely. I recently went away and forgot to pack my DAME tampons meaning I had to buy a box of Tampax. The BV immediately returned. A reminder of the impact of one's period product choice not only for the planet, but also for personal health. BRAVO and thank you DAME!

Dame is a company to watch and buy frm. Great attitude.
