Whitepages Avis 

I receive a lot of spam as White Pages have incorrectly listed my email address as someone else's. I requested they remove it, and they said:
"We cannot remove just an email address we are only able to remove an entire listing, however, if the listing consisting of the email address is not under your name, we are unable to remove such listing".

So they are happy knowing they have incorrect listings but can't be bothered to do anything about it. I can't see why anyone would pay to access a knowingly incorrect database.

The offer from the Whitepages was promising to provide me cell phone information for my relative. My CC was charged and I just get land line phone number instead, which I've already had before.

It used to be free but now want to charge for inaccurate and outdated information. Its a garbage site that I will no longer use and do not recommend.

This is one of the worst sites for both cost and accuracy. You purchase a 'Premium" account, go into the site and discover blue links like 'Background' costs more. And, much of the information is out of date. Terrible site.

Some individuals have the same first and last names, and even the same middle name. white pages.com is among other individual locators that has published and shared completely false and misleading information about me and about members of my family. Nobody should rely on the accuracy of such individual locator and background services. I should take legal action regarding fraudulent representation.

This company has nonexistent customer service, definitely do not use them. They make a ton of information available to the public and open you up to security breaches in your personal life. They also have a company-centered rather than customer-centered refund policy, so when you try to cancel and get a little box warning you: "are you sure because you'll lose [insert] benefits" they're trying to keep you around long enough to auto renew so that they can get money out of you without providing a service. It's the same way gyms operate, they bank on people forgetting that they have a reoccurring monthly charge and therefore they can make money without providing a service. It's fraudulent, it's scummy business practice, but I suppose it's pretty typical of untrustworthy service providers.

If you do find yourself in a position where you feel you have to use their service, do so through your bank or credit card. That way when they attempt to trick you into sticking around after some sort of 'free trial' or discounted 5-day period, you can fight the fraudulent charges through your bank or credit card company.

This company does not deserve your money for providing zero customer service and selling your information. They actively make people's lives worse, they do not attempt to meet the customer halfway, they exist on a foundation of fraud and violating personal information. In extreme cases they may even open up individuals to unsafe attention, such as allowing stalkers to pay a monthly fee and access information about their victims.

Its dangerous they can post your info in the open like that .... trash in my eyes if they can do that

I wish I could rate it lower to be honest. I had my card linked to my account, which I havent used in 6 months. my account was hacked and the highest subscription was purchased with my card, I called customer support for almost 30 minutes just for them to say "well have someone from the fraud department contact you in 24-48 hours, 1 week later no email from support, however, they did disable my account and did NOT refund the money, had to take it up with my bank after ordering a new card and took another 5 days to get the money back. support is useless, security is weak, even the service in general is often inaccurate.

Didn't help me find who I was looking for, then charged me repeatedly after I cancelled my account. Made it difficult to cancel my account. More of a trap or scam, than an actual service.

Signed up for 5-d, $1 trial of Whitepages Premium 5-Day Trial. "Premium" is not premium. It afforded nothing of that which was indicated it would afford. It just gave me name, address, phone and maybe email -- exactly what is provided for free. Bait and switch. I cancelled so I'm only out $1 (assuming Whitepages doesn't try to screw me more) but Whitepages Premium is a hoax designed to get you to pay more for actual info.

I checked about 10 numbers and NONE of them gave me any information at all. No location. No info. Typed in my own number and found everything anybody could ever want to know. Major waste of funds. Not what was advertised. Not even close.

What a rip off, I paid $12.95 to get informaiton I already knew. They wanted more money for the name and address and will charge you monthly fees.

I would give zero stars if I could. I signed up for only one time report $11.99 and this site multiple charged me and charged a premium subscription too. Almost $100.00 and the one time report I wanted is inaccurate too. Update: I contacted Whitepages and they are refunding all the money and are investigating this technical glitch. It can take a few days for the refund to show, so I’ll return and amend my stars after the refund shows at my bank.

Advertised as "free," but then charged me. Don't use it.

I'm not sure the phone numbers and email addresses they provide are accurate. Never been able to reach someone I had looked up, using the info I got from them. The info I got from them about a person was actually also available for free elsewhere. On the positive side, they refunded me when requested. However, making the request involved writing them an email, I wasn't able to just unsubscribe in PayPal.

Would give it a zero. I needed to look up a number and was told they had a detailed report. After I paid for it they told me they didn’t have a report but I had one credit. What a crock of BS. Calling the BBB too

This service is absolute garbage!!

I searched for someone on whom I needed to serve court papers. They provided me with information that's almost six years old and inaccurate. I used a prepaid card. Because I know that even though I canceled. They will continue to charge my card.

Garbage—-Inaccurate email addresses and telephone numbers. The Customer Service (Yolanda and Erlene) is HORRIBLE. They refused to give me credit for the time I had the service. I had time over this Memorial Day weekend to send emails to former classmates announcing a Class Reunion. The emails were wrong and the telephone numbers are wrong—SCAM, FRAUD
