If I could give no stars I would. DO NOT purchase anything from this company. They state they are British based but they are not.
I ordered 5 tops which were awful, tacky quality and not the right size. Trying to get a return was a nightmare, they kept insisting I would have to pay shipping costs to return to China. They kept emailing me to take a partial refund and keep the crappy items that I wouldn’t even give away free.

This company is a scam. They pretend to be in London but the goods take forever to arrive from America. They pretend to sell quality items but send you rubbish from China. They say easy returns but If you email to get a return code they offer to send another size for an additional cost. Then on your reply email the address is mysteriously unavailable. Just a scam. They should be closed down. I’ve spent almost £30 on horrendous nylon trousers from China and I’m stuck with them.

Buyer beware: returns are not straightforward and may cost $30–$50 per item

My mother recently ordered several dresses from Wilson & Carter, London. Unfortunately, the items were unsuitable as they were of very poor quality and unlike the website pictures and she wanted to return them for a refund.

The major problem was that the website and company branding gave us the impression that we were buying from a UK/London-based retailer. It was only when we contacted the company about returning the items that we were told that returns would need to go to an international location and that return shipping would typically cost around $30–$50 USD per item, payable by the customer.

Had this been made clear to us before ordering, my mother would not have purchased the dresses.

When we contacted customer service, they initially tried to resolve the issue without a return, including offering store credit. We explained that this was of no use to my mother because, given our experience, she did not intend to shop with the company again. After multiple further correspondence, they offered a 30% refund while allowing her to keep the items, which she has accepted rather than incur the very substantial cost of an international return.

Customer service did respond to our emails, and I want to be fair about that. However, I remain extremely unhappy with the lack of transparency around the returns process. A customer buying from a business prominently presenting itself as “Wilson & Carter, London” could reasonably expect to understand before purchase that unwanted goods may have to be returned internationally at potentially very high cost.

My advice is to read the returns information extremely carefully before ordering. In our case, what appeared to be an ordinary online clothing purchase became a choice between paying a very significant amount to return the items or accepting only a partial refund.

The clothes arrive after weeks and aren’t anything remotely similar to the website pictures. The dress I ordered was an unwearable joke! The quality was ridiculous.
They are trying to ask me to pay for international shipping to china to get a refund but are making it difficult via a million emails!!

I bought a dress from them which arrived very late. When I opened it, I did not like it and wanted to return it. On their website they say easy returns. However, they wouldn’t let me send it back unless I’ve paid a lot of money in dollars and they wanted to send me another dress instead. I searched for another dress found it and it said it was made out of cotton and linen. It arrived today and it is made out of man-made fabric and appallingly badly made with stitches coming undone everywhere.

I tried to email them about this problem and it seems that they aren’t accepting any emails. They just get sent back to me. I suggest they are a corrupt company.

Absolutely shocking. Quality is so poor. Ordered a top and it looks nothing like what’s on line.
I have emailed at least 5 times but not even getting an acknowledgment although when I emailed prior to placing the order I was getting responses immediately.

So so poor. I’d give zero if I could. The ‘original’ prices are absolute garbage!
AVOID at all costs.

Less than 1 really. Long delivery time. Product quality very poor, not like website pictures in colour or design.

No redeeming features at all. Looks like a London website but obviously a front for cheap inferior Chinese products.

What a bunch of con merchants, No means of calling them, email does not work, so I will have to ask my credit car for a refund.

Didn't deliver and now their email address can't be found

Crap company!!! Do not buy anything from them!!! Unfortunately I was caught out and one of the unlucky ones.

Cheap Chinese shoes, insoles didn't fit the shoe, no support for the feet at all, flimsy plastic and horrible.

Appalling scam company. Fighting to get my money back from my bank. Steer well clear!!
