From website pictures, it was impossible to assess 'chain link' fence. Think I bought the wrong product. Since it is too heavy for me to lift, returning it is impossible

Don't waste your time .
Wish I had read the reviews before ordering a wire fence from this useless company. Big let down , messed up the whole project. Would NOT recommend.

Sorry to hear about your project!
As explained earlier via email and on the phone as well, unfortunately your fencing got damaged during transit, a situation that is out of our control I'm afraid.
However, we did notify you as soon as we found out about the situation, as well as dispatched a replacement roll on the same day and refunded you the next day shipping charge to make up for the delay.
After confirming in an email that you were happy with this resolution, you have spoken to one of our colleagues over the phone and requested to speak to the manager. She confirmed we will be able to do that for you within 2-3 working days maximum, and therefore you have cancelled the order altogether, claiming the items weren't actually dispatched and damaged, even when we offered to send you the screenshots that show the scans on your order, as well as the damage that occurred. shocking customer service & delivery is terrible
As with many of the reviews here products are good couriers and after car is terrible. I ordered 4 pallets of granite, got notified at 3pm they were being sent to a courier, they will be in touch to confirm delivery 18 hrs later they are on the doorstep of an empty property.
They dumped all 4 pallets in from of my garage door, could not open it to take the stones through to the back garden. even though i had stated to them on the phone to keep access to the door clear.
The companies response was the delivery driver has the right to decide where it is safe to leave them

We do appreciate that the driver has agreed that he would leave the stones in the requested spot, however unfortunately we are not able to influence all individual driver’s personal choice of what they promise and agree to do and what they end up having to implement upon getting a clearer picture of the ground and soil conditions.
We had a look at the picture you sent us on LiveChat, which unfortunately does not qualify for the goods to be placed, as there is a drop and grass on the right hand side to where the pallets have been left. This terrain is unfortunately unsuitable for the pump truck to operate on.
I’m afraid we have not been notified of instructions on where the goods needed to be placed and ground conditions that we could've passed on to the depot for them to advise if this is possible.
We advise that deliveries are made kerbside at a minimum to avoid uncomfortable situations like this.
As often as possible, drivers can wheel the pallets into flat and even surfaces, however this is up to their discretion I’m afraid. This also depends on the weight of the pallet itself and the height of the sidewalk or smoothness of the concrete.

We do send you a tracking email on the day the goods are picked up where the delivery can be followed, but unfortunately we are not able to get in touch separately to confirm delivery.
The goods did get delivered kerbside as advised on our website, so unfortunately we were not able to escalate the situation any further.

Be prepared to be let down
Used this company a few times in the last year. Their products are good but their couriers let them & customers down. Last year had problems with DX & Gabions going missing now yesterday Grand Prix Express (subcontracted by Pallex) dumped a pallet of stones in the road after I asked for it to be placed on my easily accessible driveway. Wirefence think this is an acceptable way for their goods to be delivered despite misleading website stating that goods will be placed in position (requested) on delivery. The courier doesn't care either. Be prepared to be let down. Profit over customer service is their preference despite them appearing to be nice people who feed dogs for every review left. I've tried to resolve this amicably & politely with them only to be told delivery is a minimum of kerbside (so how it was delivered is OK) & a token offer of 10% discount on my next order when I will inevitably have problems with their couriers again. Just change your couriers and show customers you care and that they are valued. Your products can be purchased elsewhere easily.

The goods did turn up on time undamaged and the delivery conditions advised on our website have been honoured, so unfortunately we were not able to fulfil your request for additional compensation due to the stones having been delivered kerbside.
However, we decided to offer the 10% discount as a gesture of goodwill, to make up for the inconvenience the kerbside delivery caused you. We also offered to talk to our account manager with Pallex to avoid situations like these in the future.

Ordered some Gabion Cages and Granite…
Ordered some Gabion Cages and Granite last week. Ordering was easy. I was kept up to date by regular emails. Goods arrived 5 days after ordering which is when I was told they would arrive. Gabion Cages were easy to put together, especially using the Helical Connectors. Can't fault Wire Fence at all. Thanks for a pleasant transaction.

Great customer service - online, responsive, didn't have to pick the phone
I am a residential/private customer so not an expert tradesman and I used the online tool to order a set of custom gabion baskets for my garden. Super easy process. Tim from the customer service team was in touch next day to offer options to meet availability and my timelines and got my order updated, costs changed, refunds managed etc very quickly and efficiently. Great service

Commercial Cattery wire. Well packed in superb condition when it arrived. I would not hesitate to buy from this Company again should I need to the price was best I could find and it is top quality. The delivery driver who delivered it was very polite also. 5*******

I placed an order for 20 gabion baskets…
I placed an order for 20 gabion baskets plus 20 corner tie packs. They arrived 2 days later than the date originally quoted and when they did arrive, they did not send to he corner tie packs. So now I've got a few hours to cut my own ties and lace all the baskets together, before my stone arrives tomorrow.
However, customer service was very good and I've already received an email to say my refund is on the way. Also the baskets themselves seem reasonable.
All in all not terrible by any means, could be an honest mistake, but I'll be buying from elsewhere next time

Our packing team are usually very accurate but short orders happen from time to time. In these circumstances, we will always send out any missing items straight away or refund the order as you have requested this time.
We know deliveries are inaccurate at present and we are working with couriers to try to return to more accurate delivery dates.
