We've only had the halibut so far from this shipment. It was excellent as usual - this time with the roasted corn salsa we prepared from your suggestion, serving both over a flour tortilla.
The only disappointment when I order is that there is always an out-of-stock item. This is also a positive since you get many items in short supply due to their quality and scarcity. Looking forward to the next one that I snag!

We ordered soft shell crabs this past summer. Just getting to use them….. most have no claws or one claw. Really shocked. Will not place an order again. Some are so mushy I would not even use. Just fyi——

Hi Crab Lover! Thank you for your feedback and I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the soft shells from the summertime! This is the first time we're hearing this so I'll be looking into this with our fishermen partners and our production team. These crabs always come in whole to us. They are fully cleaned so that they are without gills, guts, and "face" to ensure easy cooking for our home cooks. With that said, they can come across as extra soft even by soft shell crab standards.

Freshness that you don't have to invent
I've been trying for a long time to buy fish not at the nearest supermarket, but where the product is really taken more seriously. It happened almost by accident with these guys: a friend ordered a set from them and treated me to a cod steak. After that, I decided to place my order to see if it was luck or if it was always like this. As a result, a box arrived, packed neatly, without odors and wet footprints, which is already pleasant. The ice inside was tight, nothing floated, and the fish itself looked as if it had just been prepared. Most of the time I take salmon and hake from them. The fillet is smooth, without strange bald spots, there are almost no bones, and most importantly, the smell is fresh, not the "fishy" one that happens when the product is already on the verge. When I was frying the salmon, I was surprised that it didn't fall apart in the pan and give off excess water - this is usually a problem for store-bought packages. The taste is dense, without bitterness. Even my husband, who is usually indifferent to fish, said that it was finally cooked properly, and not dissolved.

And of course the fish was superb. I have yet to taste the salmon burgers....the last time I had ordered them they were dry and tasteless. Hoping the ones that just arrived are excellnt.
