Blocks accounts for no reason. Very annoying and a hassle for the seller and buyer. Avoid and find an alternative

Adverts.ie locks your account without any alert, email, or notification. No warning. No explanation. You only find out when a buyer tries to contact you and can't.

This has happened to me before. And now it happened again while I was in the middle of arranging a sale. The buyer cannot find me, cannot message me, and likely thinks I am a scammer. My reputation takes a hit through no fault of my own.

Their support is slow. Their system is broken. And they clearly don't care about honest sellers.

If you are going to lock accounts, at least have the decency to send a notification. But they won't. And they won't reply to this review either.

Unprofessional. Frustrating. Avoid if you value your time and reputation.

Site provides no protection against fraudsters. All purchases are fully on your own risk.

Site taken over by a Polish tech gang . Pages upon pages of recycled slop in the computer and electronics section. Fix your site or lose more customers.

Error code 1015, kicked off the website for simply using it as intended, its also an awful website, one of the worst i've ever seen. It looks like something from the 90s. Its seriously been an awful experience I would put 0/5 stars if possible. would not recommend this website to anybody.

This site has a system where you can review and block timewasters ,supposed to help make the site work but I'd a complete clown offered me the right money for an item and I accepted it ,bearing in mind I live in Kerry and this guy in Carlow,260 km away.I brought this to his attention and he expected me to deliver the item to Carlow next time I'm up that way.A total timewaster, I reported his as that and gave him bad feedback yet adverts over ruled me and let him away with it after I also got dogs abuse from him.Its no longer fit for purpose when they break their own rules and don't have the decency to contact the seller for their side of the story,full of time wasters and messers and not being controlled.

Utter waste of time...ads up for 12mnths + not taken down bunch if time wasters. Pity it used to be good!!

Paid for a product, then the guy disappeared. Adverts.ie doesn't care about anything they just said "go to the police". Never more.

This site used to be good, now very poor, wouldn't be surprised if run by ebay.
Best option is to buy locally, if you do ship by anpost make sure you get free proof of postage.

The team deserves an updated review. Since they implemented two‑factor authentication, Adverts.ie has become a much cleaner and safer place. Today I ended up chatting with a very sophisticated scammer, no idea how they got in, but the Adverts team spotted the issue and disabled the account before I even had a chance to report it. The scammer was so convincing that even I doubted a few times whether they were actually a scammer or not. Great work.

There is corruption on Aderts and the admins are scammers, they have never replied to my email yet, this is an unbelievable big scam on Irish sites, I prefer to use Donedeal and I am very satisfied.
I know I have to write a negative review on Adverts.ie they blocked my account without informing me that they want to block my account or asking me for an explanation it is very unprofessional behavior from Adverts we are people we are not animals we deserve an explanation why the account is blocked and I will write one more thing adverts is not what it used to be it is racist adverts is only for emigrants not for decent people.

The site allows scammers and businesses to flood the website with multiple adds, hardly can find the items you need as of result, than you have buy in bulk people that buy say all the TV ‘ ( most likely for hotels to exchange old TV’s) not giving anyone else to purchase a TV , this particular buyer ,scotdude99, talks down adds and sellers, has a bad attitude and disrespectful attitude towards sellers and enough bad reviews to support this,yet Eddie from adverts doesn’t care,he removed my comments calling this person out ( even if i was defending other sellers here, not myself) but he never addressed this guy’s attitude, adverts just cares about their site being overly used, as it gives them more attention, but doesn’t care about the quality of content and individual buyers, the site is slowly turning comercial, where businesses use free advertising for their products, whilst the website itself initial intent was to help small individuals ppl , which was admirable. Adverts, shame on you!

Site taken over by Eastern European tech gangs. They have quadruple accounts selling old rubbish from eBay and Amazon returns, etc. I spoke with and met the same person or his partner on different accounts in Cork. He and his pals have taken over the whole electronics and computer section.

I’ve noticed a big improvement on Adverts over the last few weeks. The platform feels much cleaner and well moderated — it appears that many scam accounts and private sellers operating commercially (without proper tax or VAT compliance) have been removed.
Eddie, Jenny, Ray and the team have always resolved any issues for me quickly and fairly, which is greatly appreciated.
It’s made a real difference to the overall quality of listings and buyer confidence. Credit where it’s due — this kind of cleanup is exactly what the site needed, and it shows a genuine effort to support legitimate sellers and protect users.

Used the site for nearly 2 decades.
Couldn't log in one day last week.
No response from support and its been over a week.

I've been using it for years . Sold and bought with no issues. I won't deal with a buyer or seller with bad reviews and so far that's kept it all relatively hassle free. I never pay to bump my ads, so for a free site I can't complain at all.

The site is full of scammers, and the site's management is in on it! But the administration doesn't block them! They always come to the aid of violators, not good users! Avoid this dump!
