Hello everyone, I'm Octave from Rwanda, I'm doing ALX course as well especially in AI career essential as. Today I have earned three badges of completing three modules. I hope that I'm on my way to moonshot because I'm experiencing how to use AI in solving real world problem and to apply it in our daily activities.

One thing I really appreciate about ALX is its community. It brings together ambitious people from different backgrounds across Africa who are always willing to learn, collaborate, and support one another. The relationships and professional network you build often continue long after completing the program.

I paid and money was deducted. Their system didn't pick the transaction I provided everything they asked for yet every customer rep was referring me to the next agent. Worst service ever.

ALX provides valuable learning resources and practical projects that help build real-world skills. However, the overall experience could be improved with more consistent learner support, clearer communication, and better responsiveness to student concerns. While the program has strong potential, there is room for improvement in delivering a more seamless and engaging learning experience.

Great choice of course outline-The course is created in a way you get all insights in your field of study.

The course is self paced so you do it according to your pace reducing burn out

Communication and problem solving skills with upwardness and being proactive is a great move in my alx journey as a professional virtual Assistant.

I am Mupembe! Merging geology with data engineering and data science as an incredibly powerful combination.
The subsurface is inherently messy, sparse, and uncertain. Traditional geological modelling often relies heavily on interpolation and intuition, but by bringing a modern data stack into the mix-like building robust data pipelines to ingest spatial data or using machine learning for predictive mapping, I can uncover patterns that are easily missed otherwise.
Whether I am working with borehole logs, seismic datasets, stratigraphic layers, or geospatial (GIS) data, there is a lot of fascinating territory to explore. It usually comes down to solving a few core challenges:
• Data Ingestion & Cleaning: Getting unstructured or semi-structured data (like LAS files for well logs, CSVs, or shapefiles) into clean, structured tables or databases using tools like Python (pandas, SQLAlchemy).
• Subsurface Modelling: Moving beyond basic 2D maps to predict lithology, porosity, or fluid boundaries using machine learning models (like Random Forests or Gradient Boosting).
• Spatial Interpolation: Using advanced geostatistical techniques (like Kriging or Gaussian Process Regression) to fill in the massive gaps between data points reliably.

ALX training is one of the best learning platforms. I have the opportunity to study several programs from ALX, and it has really changed my career trajectory. I was teaching before taking my first ALX program, which is data analytics. My current job was because of the data analytics I undertook from Generation.
I am also doing data engineering to add to my skill set.
I will advise all those looking to move into tech or advance their tech skill to turn to ALX

ALX has some of the most well-rounded programmmes anyone could ever take. They offer impactful training for technical skills and helpful tools for soft skill development. My confidence and ambition has grown since I enrolled for my programmme.

I completed my Virtual Assistant program a while back , and I’m really excited to begin AI and Career Essentials next. I genuinely enjoy ALX from the modules to the community, and the impact it’s had on my growth. It has truly been a life-changing experience for me.

When I joined ALx, I was having problems with imposter syndrome. I am from very different background from Tec. I have always wanted to join Tec community and every time I tried, I just found myself postponing. Then finally I Joined ALx and found a great community. Also I met my peers during process foundation who have been of great help. The course is well structured and I am finding it well to understand as I move. And when I get stuck, at least I have Lea to ask. Or the community. Or my peers. It is a great place to be.

I just finished taking the Freelancer Academy Course and it is a very practical hands on experience that has helped me greatly in setting up my freelance business professionally and confidently.
I am glad I took this course.

After completing my data science program, I am really satisfied with the program and courses and also very proud to be part of this big community of ALX . really we learnt by doing. And really by doing hard things we feel confident and strong.

Within Africa, and more specifically Nigeria, ALX is the best. They have an active community of young tech enthusiasts, live hubs with free internet, electricity, which is important especially for those in Nigeria, and they occasionally host events.
