Finishing touches matter
A lovely product beautifully made and delivered promptly. My only complaint is that the screws were cheap and silver in colour when the product was cast brass. I now have to fine brass screws to fit.

So disappointing. No quality control.
The moment had come! The plumber arrived at last to fit my carefully stored brushed brass towel radiator. We opened it..,,then noticed…
Lots of marks where the brushed brass had not covered . So disappointed. This could easily have been spotted before it had been sent out. Very very disappointing and a wasted day for the plumber at my cost.

The unlacquered nature of the solid brass towel rail will cause it to develop character and patina over time.

A replacement shower control
A replacement shower control for one we bought at Aston Matthews 30 years ago. A classic design, now fitted, works beautifully and looks great. Seems to be of a high quality and just what I wanted even though it cost a small fortune. I guess you pay for what you get!!

I couldn't recommend less! Terrible After Sales.
I have one of these fancy shower/bath mixers ("Zyam bath/shower mixer for wall or deck mounting and flexible shower kit") that started to leak. Following advice from a plumber, I ordered just the inner cartridge from Aston Matthews.
It took 7 weeks to arrive.
So I got the plumber back in, which cost me £80 only for him to tell me I was sent the wrong cartridge.
I emailed and phoned Aston Matthews to try and fix the situation and I felt completely helpless as they gave me a very cold standard reply saying that the correct part was out of stock and they didn't know when they would be able to send me one.
Also, they offered to come and collect the wrong part in order for me to get a refund to no avail.
Very irresponsive, distant and not helpful at all.
3 months on, I still have a leaking tap, which I now have to operate with a pair of pliers while I wait for a new cartridge and they didn't even offer me solutions.
I had enough, I'm going to replace the who mixer with a different brand, much cheaper and with a much more efficient after sales team.

We have reviewed your order and can only apologise; we pride ourselves on our after sales service and are doing all we can to satisfy your order. Global production times are causing issues in many industries, including ours, and we are having a particular problem with this part. It does not help that we received the incorrect part first time around from our manufacturer, again we can only apologise.
We will continue to get updates from our supplier and let you know as soon as the part arrives.
