We spoke to the salesman ( Andrew ) for a few minutes telling him what we need in a mattress and within 5 minutes we had picked our mattress

Karen our sales advisor at the Team Valley, Gateshead was excellent. She never rushed us and totally understood our needs. Now looking forward to a good nights sleep.
We also noted how professional the other sales members were with other customers. They all know their stuff on all the mattresses, pillows etc.

In purchasing a brand new Tempur mattress, pillows and protector our total experience was as follows:
In store.
We visited Bensons at the Team Valley, Gateshead store and had excellent service. We were served by Jan, who took the time to listen to our requirements and concerns and answered all our questions. We were given all the time we wanted to browse and try the different mattresses. We left the store to think about the details and there was no pressure to make a hasty decision.
Having decided the discounts offered were good and having looked elsewhere we returned to the store and went ahead with the deposit.
Kept informed.
We were told delivery would be around four weeks, given a provisional delivery date and this was confirmed by email within a few days.
Delivery
The date given at the outset for delivery was confirmed and a couple of days prior to that a two hour time slot was allocated. You can't request your own slot, but that didn't create any problems as far as we were concerned. A telephone call from Bensons on the day prior, confirmed delivery was as scheduled.
On the day itself, the tracking facility was excellent. We were told we were drop 20 of 20 and where the driver was and how many drops he had completed.
A phone call was made by the driver slightly ahead of schedule to tell us he would be with us in thirty minutes.
The two guys arrived (Steve and his mate) unboxed the Super king mattress in the van, walked the route to the room it was going to, removed the old mattress for recycling and brought the new one in. They treated our home with respect, handled the bulky mattress with care, didn't damage anything and finally took the cellophane wrapping off once it was in situ.
They were a credit to Bensons, cheerful, and customer focused.
The total experience was hassle free and we are delighted with our purchases. Our thanks to all concerned.

Excellent communication. I received several text messages confirming day and time slot for delivery. I received a phone call on Friday confirming delivery and time period for my delivery on Monday. I received a phone call 30 minutes prior to delivery and they were spot on time. packed and removed my old mattress. delivered my new mattress to my bedroom, unpacked it and positioned it on the bed for me. A first class service every step of the way.

Louise the sales lady, was really helpful. Not pushy, allowed us time to look and then I went back and asked for assistance. I got such a good deal, that ended up buying 2 wardrobes, bed and bed setti making savings over £1000

Andrew from the Gateshead store was incredibly knowledgeable regarding mattresses and what would suit me. He explained and let me try all of the different types until I found the one that felt right. The 60 day trial period also means that if it isn’t right I can exchange it.

The two men who delivered and assembled our new bed were very efficient and extremely courteous and friendly. We have always used Bensons to provide our beds and mattresses, and I think that this was our best experience yet. Superb.

Great interaction with the staff who were incredibly helpful, full of knowledge and expert advice. Generally good banter with customers. We learnt that it's possible to Caught, Fart and Wee yourself all at once (that was a interesting conversation).

I was welcomed as soon as I walked into the store which was lovely. I was measuring a bed and mattress up which I liked. Neal the salesmen came over and asked if I needed any help. He explained to me about all the different mattresses they had in store that I could try them out. He always discussed the bed frame that I wanted to purchase also. He was very helpful, professional and very friendly. He discussed all other products that were on offer and explained how the delivery service works. Thanks Neal for helping me find the perfect mattress and new bed frame.

Visited store to select a replacement matress.
Was greeted by a friendly member of staff who advised us on services available to assist in picking a matress. Was subsequently provided with an electronic analysis of our preferred choice and shown matresses in selected range.
Good advice provided and left to make our selection.
Overall friendly wellcome service no problem no pressure.

Great selection of beds & mattresses in showroom. Mattress compatible system was ideal and allowed us to try which level of firmness was suitable for us. After sales was spot on as the option we chose - it wouldn’t fit up our twist staircase so we needed to make a 2nd choice.

The woman who served us was an absolute diamond

Excellent customer service

After purchasing the most expensive mattress they sell , waited four weeks for delivery , then got an email with a delivery date. They sent five texts to ensure we were in to take delivery and a tel call the day before delivery. A two hour delivery window was given nothing arrived. Rang customer services they said delivery would be another ten days.In the mean time we have no bed as we discarded it the morning a two hour window of delivery was sent. Thank you Bensons for leaving two elderly people without a bed for 10 days.
Order cancelled as I don’t want anything to do with a company that’s willing to leaving people in a situation like this.
