Bensons For Beds - Southsea563 Avis 

Popped into Benson's for Beds in Portsmouth looking for a mid range mattress and got lots of help choosing from Ryan. Very happy with the service and, despite the store undergoing refurbishment, there was still plenty to choose from. Can't review the actual mattress yet as we only tested it for a few minutes but service was excellent.

The customer service I received was perfect throught the sale and collection of our bed. Hasan was informed and helpful, answering our questions and pointing us to what we were looking for.
Collection was easy and hassle free.

I purchased a bed and delivery was the 2nd Feb, then the sales assistant lost the page on the computer, because of this the date of delivery then changed to 12th Feb.
The senior assistant said he would sort it out and give me a call within the hour.
I didn't receive any phone call, or help changing the date, I just felt I was fobbed off just to get a sale.
I asked the sales assistant if they had a certain type of bed in the sale, they said no. The senior sales assistant come over and said yes we do its at the back, and this was the bed frame I purchased.

Marshall was very knowledgeable with the different bases and mattresses. We didn’t feel pressured at any point and were given plenty of time to make our decision. Marshall advised us of all costs involved and discounts, and even advised we could go to a different store to browse a more extensive range. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Richard at the Fratton branch provided excellent customer service. From the outset he took the time to talk through the options for mattresses based on what I wanted and offered informed advice throughout. He was very patient and couldn’t have been more helpful. Fantastic, thank you very much!!

Good range of beds and mattresses. Store clean, tidy and easy to navigate. Ade was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.

The manager at Bensons in Pompey Trade Park was very helpful, the variable mattress machine was a helpful addition to find the perfect fit (Slumberland Air 6.0 - Firm).

Ryan was very professional, courteous and pagient at the Portsmouth branch, as we eneded up spending the best part of two hours trying to find a suitable mattress.

I was assisted on the day by an advisor called Amy.
She was very polite and helpful. I have chronic back pain so was unsure where to even start. After doing a mattress test I changed my mind on the type of mattress I was looking for and was taken to everything that matched my needs. As someone with ADHD, I can find things like furniture shops quite overwhelming and struggle with making decisions. Amy gave me time and space, and helpful information rather than a "sales pitch". The "sales pitch" culture makes neurodiverse customers EXTREMELY uncomfortable, which is why this needs to end sector-wide. Amy also ensured that I was shown only vegan-friendly mattresses (I have never considered the fact they might not be!).

I believe Amy is pretty new to the job, and just wanted her to be recognised for the great job she is doing. And for Amy, if you can deal with a vegan ADHDer, you can deal with anything!

We've just had truly excellent service from Bensons at the Pompey Centre in Portsmouth. Several weeks ago we ordered a bed and mattress to deal with an elderly relative situation in which an extra bed was needed downstairs because the stairs could no longer be managed.
No sooner had it been delivered but not unpacked, the situation changed and the bed was no longer needed. A couple of phone calls to Richard and his team and they agreed to accept the return of the goods. Better still, Richard agreed to a full refund except only for the original delivery charge. I fully expected to have to pay both a collection charge and a handling charge for loss of profit, but no.
I can't recall ever having had customer service like that. My thanks to all, you are a credit to Bensons.

The customer service within the store was excellent. We were able to look back at a previous purchase we had made many years ago to help with our choice. We were given help and time to make decisions. We wanted to check out the mattress personally rather than buying online and this proved really helpful for us.

Lewis the salesman who dealt with us was helpful and friendly as were the other members of staff, a pleasure to deal with
