Marc was very helpful; he took the time to understand my particular needs and explained my options, clarifying my understanding of everything without making me feel ignorant (investment is a complete unknown for me). the coaching session has given me clear options to consider and I feel much better informed.

We discussed areas where I needed to re-evaluate my portfolio. Overall very helpful.

I had good advice from Colin but have had a nightmare switching funds to smart range. Placed order on 2nd September spoke to advisor several times. Advisor helped switch out of clean portfolio to smart range. However when I checked online, only half of my portfolio had been switched! Called advisor on 8th who informed me that it takes 4 working days I believe. Under transactions on the app I could see that half my portfolio hadn’t switched to one of the smart ranges. Was told to wait! Phoned again on the 9th spoke to Casey who confirmed my suspicions as being correct. Funds had
Not been switched to Smart balanced on the 2nd which meant I am at a loss of £533.27 to date. Have lodged a formal complaint and switched to smart balanced. Been a nightmare as I have been with B Invest for over 20 years and have had faith in their recommendations for small portfolio and their customer service. This has eroded over time and unfortunately some of the advisors are out of their depth.

I had a query that took quite a while to resolve, but BestInvest customer service were brilliant, particularly James - kind, patient, diligent and smart.

Working with people like James really makes a difference in making it into a great experience.

Our chat with the advisor was very helpful. He pointed out thingswe need to address in our finances, which we are in the process of undertaking now

Really good call with Samuel Dam about the process of investing in my Stocks & Shares ISA. Sam explained the process clearly and with authority and offered to further assist if I encountered any issues or wanted further guidance

I had a coaching session with Colin at Bestinvest and was extremely impressed with the whole experience. I went into the session with very limited knowledge of investing and wanted to better understand the options available to me and the different levels of risk involved.

Colin was excellent. He was personable, patient and genuinely listened to my circumstances and what I was hoping to achieve. He explained everything in a clear and straightforward way without overwhelming me with jargon.

What I particularly appreciated was his honesty. He was very clear about the boundaries of the coaching service and that he couldn’t make specific investment recommendations, but he still managed to significantly improve my understanding and give me the knowledge I needed to make my own informed decisions. At no point did I feel that he was trying to steer me towards a particular product or that there was any hidden agenda.

I came away from the session feeling far more knowledgeable and confident than when I started. Colin was professional, approachable and a real credit to Bestinvest.

A genuinely useful service and an easy five stars from me.

The customer service agents are really aggressive and rude. It is not permitted to disagree with them. They barely allow you to speak. The fees are very high too .They charge fees that they do not inform you about and will not properly explain the asked.

I recently had pre arranged Teams meetings with Marc Fryer from Bestinvest to help me my initial investment options and practical assistance with the Bestinvest.co.uk software, this was for the investment of my pension lump sum, this level of investment has been a real worry for me and Marc was fantastic; simplifying, explaining, demonstrating, comparing and answering a raft of my questions in a relaxed and reassuring manner. Great service. Thank you.

TLDR: high fees, poor service

Have been a BestInvest user for a number of years but am now switching all my accounts away, due to a few reasons:

1) a review of ISA charges shows they are ludicrously uncompetitive, particularly for larger self managed accounts. I am going to save hundreds of pounds a year by switching to another major provider. I raised the fees with them to see if there was some flexibility but they didn't seem to care

2) I recently opened a junior IsA for my son, and never managed to get access. A ticket was passed to their IT team, which was then completely ignored and required to me to ring again..I chose to close the account

3) for both the above, whilst the team members I spoke to were helpful, there appeared to be no retention policy or apology for the inconvenience

Colin gave a good account of what was available from BestInvest. He Communicated well.

Knowledgable and very helpful advisor. Answered all my questions and followed up with some further useful material.

This platform is expensive with legacy tech. The platform has no consistency with its functionality. When I cancel a limit order, sometimes I can trade the stock: others not.

Customer service is poor. There was an outage on the platform which made me miss cut-off times for a trade. It was their fault so they backdated the trade. Their responses to my complaint sounded as though it was my fault and they were doing me a favour by backdating it.

When rasing concerns about timeliness of execution, they have not bothered to reply. When I have then raised it as a complaint, they have not bothered to reply. They only took it seriously when I raised it to the Ombudsman.

I have also noted unit prices csn be a day out-of-date. Their response is its not their fault. If I can get the prices elsewhere, its their feed thst is failing - who else's fault can it be?

As someone who works in the industry, I am really unimpressed with their costs, operations and compliance.
