Big Van World Avis 

Big vanworld were very helpful and extremely reliable in getting me into a my new vehicle.

If I could give anyone any advice it would be to not buy any vehicles from big van world.
Bought a vehicle over Christmas, within 2 days of having the vehicle the engine management light came on.
Took the vehicle back to get fixed, picked it back up after being ‘fixed’ and was told it was a sensor issue.
Two days later the light comes back on again!! Was told it was the same sensor but they wanted to keep the car overnight to road test to ensure it didn’t come back on.
Picked the vehicle up the following day only for find over half a tank of petrol had been used supposedly road testing…. But guess what the engine management light came back on!
I then proceeded to phone after sales with no answer, left several voicemails that were never returned.
I have taken the vehicle to Ford the manufactures as they also sold me the vehicle with an outstanding recall, only to be told it needs a new catalytic converter, which big van world obviously knew about but just didn’t want to fix it, and instead treated me like a thick young girl and brushed me off saying it was sensor issues.

Will was incredibly professional and helpful throughout.

I had been looking for a pickup to replace my van and had settled on a Nissan Navara. After a couple of weeks of shopping around I came across a low mileage Tekna from Big Van World which seemed to be slightly under priced.
A call to the very helpful Mike led to placing a deposit, hoping against hope that I could collect before Christmas. Mike pulled out all the stops and I collected the vehicle just four days later ( it would have been even quicker if I hadn’t insisted on switching finance companies half way through).
The vehicle was perfect and Mike took time to answer any questions I had. Since returning home, a number of people have mistakingly assumed the vehicle was new, and have been amazed by the quality.

Placed a deposit Sunday 10th I was told by josh it should be ready for collection Sunday 17th - This was delayed to Tuesday 19th (no problem) but I had to chase for an update.

I advised I wouldn’t be able to collect until Thursday 21st in the evening due to work commitments. It was a “NO” Josh told me he finishes at 5pm so I could not collected. After a lengthy phone call of me trying to understand why one of his colleagues couldn’t help me on the one day I was able to come, I was still told no and I would have to wait even longer until the following week… his attitude left a bitter taste, with what I felt very little empathy .. he simply repeatedly told me how many customers he helps and he’s the busiest guy and that I’d just have to do another day because he simply does not do business that way etc. etc… which is of very little help to me ..he very clearly did not want to help me find a solution to allow me to collect the car.

I spent the next hour or so rearranging my work commitments for the following week to free up some time to collect the vehicle.

To then receive an email .. saying magically someone else could help me?!?! Weird when I was repeatably told NO … on the phone.

After careful consideration I decided that I felt I did not want to purchase the car, if this was the level of care when I’m trying to purchase, god forbid anything happen and I need any aftercare (I can see now Josh has been mentioned by name in a previous review for bad aftercare) , I sent polite email to Josh advising that I no longer wish to purchase and I got a rather rude response ..

Again advising of how many customers he has helped ..

that I’m unprofessional for putting a deposit down and not actually viewing the car ..

That it’s not a big deal I’m too busy and don’t want to buy the car …

And to confirm I can have the deposit refunded but il have to wait a week?!?

I can’t speak on everyone at Big van world but I certainly wouldn’t want to purchase or deal with Josh.

Tasmin was very helpful, we’ve had a few good vehicles and we’ve been very nicely looked after! We will be back for more!

Paid a deposit, test drove a vehicle - with no insurance! No customer support! Requested refund, still waiting 4 weeks! Awful business do not use!!

Purchased a Range Rover Sport from BVW. Mike Jnr. was very helpful and a few initial minor issues with the car were fully sorted out before collection. Very pleased with the car and service so far.

Mike was great from start to finish. The vans great and very tidy for the age and miles it’s done.

I would recommend big van world to everyone.

From start to end my experience with big van world has been stressful. The customer service when we entered the building wasn't great they were trying to serve to many customers at once. There was major lack of communication which then in turn resulted in us being sold a faulty vehical which then completely broke down within 3 days of having it.

Update: further to my review below. These are utter scumbags dont go anywhere near them for your new van. They eventually turned up to fix and collect the van. Brought the wrong part with them so couldn't fix it, took the keys and log book, came back 2 days later with correct part and took van away. They still havnt released my funds back to me nearly 2 weeks after taking the keys and log book and are now claiming I didn't give them the log book.
Terrible experience with this dealership. Avoid! Sold me a van with a faulty alternator and noisey timing chain, despite servicing and MOTing the vehicle. They then tried to blame myself for the faults and suggested that I drove the van home 120 miles from dealership and reported the van as fine ...I did not drive the van home its was delivered to me as when I originally went to collect the vehicle there was a radio problem (probably linked to the failing alternator). Within 24 hours of me receiving the van and the first time I drove it to work the low battery stop warning light appeared on the dashboard so I immediately informed the Dealership. Aftersales team told me I should get the work done on warranty. So I took it to a mechanic who diagnosed the faulty alternator and noisey timing chain and advised me to return the van to dealership as I shouldn't be having these problems as soon as I've bought the van. Dealership is making it as difficult as possible to reject the van and return my money under my consumer rights.

I placed a deposit on a vehicle the delivery date came and went by 2 weeks i asked for a refund of the deposit ,
4 weeks have passed and still no refund after they told me they have issued it..

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

THEY DO NOT TELL THE TRUTH.

HAVE RAISED A CHARGEBACK WITH THE BANK TO GET THE DEPOSIT BACK..

THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON NOW 6 WEEKS.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

NEVER AGAIN.
