I completed the Laboratory Skills and Biotechnology Bootcamp at BioGrad and cannot recommend it highly enough. The lecturers explained complex laboratory concepts with real patience and skill, adapting their teaching so that everyone in the room, regardless of background, could follow along and succeed. I came in without a science background and never once felt out of place. The support staff were excellent throughout, and the overall environment felt safe, well organised and genuinely positive to learn in. This bootcamp gave me the confidence and skills to pursue a new direction in my career, and I'd recommend it wholeheartedly.

There was a problem with the accommodation, which delayed the med camp by a week, but they gave us compensation, letting free lab experience, and a combined course of prehospital emergency medicine and general medicine giving us more content, which is always nice. Even though there was a change in accommodation, the new hotel they offered was also clean, and takes place in central location with a variety of food and supermarkets. The people are also really nice and professional, with student workers that offer help if there is any problem. They also offered a free 6 week UCAT/ interview preparation course as for their compensation in changing dates.

The accommodation was very comfortable, all the staff members were very kind, great people and friends, and the lessons can always be interesting and make me pay attention even when I’m about to fall asleep.

We are very disappointed in the lack of communication from Biograd Education, we had originally signed up a member of staff to do a course in July 2025, unfortunately the course was cancelled on many occasions due to low numbers and eventually we decided to cancel.
A refund was promised in February 2026 and we were informed this would be received within 10 working days, despite repeated requests for the refund we are yet to receive this seven months later.
We have called and emailed almost weekly and are promised a member of the finance team will contact us, but this never happens.

Overall nice experience. I think I made the best decision by attending this skills boot camp. I will recommend that each science student attend one skills boot camp, especially mature students. Your time for this will be a truly rewarding investment.

I am so glad I did the intensive training for biotechnology and laboratory skills boot camp! I have refreshed my skills already possessed but had been a while since I practiced and few more new skills I will be using in my next chapter of career.
The staff are so knowledgeable and helpful to guide through the whole process of learning. The equipment and materials are the latest examples of what we use in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries that will make learners more confident to pursue a career in the industry once completed their courses at BioGrad facilities.
I definitely recommend to anyone interested to join the industry based job search and apply for the position in similar fields to be ready to start from first day of employment.

BioGrad Education's Mammalian Cell Culture Bootcamp at the University of Bradford was amazing. This two-week programme was perfectly organised, featuring outstanding lecturers and a magnificent laboratory. I learnt a vast amount through this high-quality, intensive training. It is a professional, elite experience that provides incredible value for any serious scientist. Highly recommended!

Amazing staff and a great place to learn!

It was an amazing experience where I had the opportunity to learn and also to connect with people in the industry.
If you want to acquire a new skills or enhance what you already know, Biograd is definitely a great choice.

I have attempted to communicate with this company through various channels since June, as my daughter was due to attend one of their courses but is now unable to participate. Unfortunately, despite sending at least ten emails, I have not received any response. Reaching them by phone has also proven to be nearly impossible.

Regardless of what they advertise, if a company cannot maintain serious and professional customer service, it raises serious concerns. For me, this is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.

Very useful course on lab skills. Practical skills are taught along side theory is the best way to learn. All the staff is friendly and helpful. Great experience!

It was very easy to understand and not useful

Good course but the communication is poor. I could not attend 2 occasions so I was required to have replacement classes but when I arrived they seemed unaware of that. The staff scurried upstairs to discuss this and in the end 1 of the lecturers gave the class to me all on my own. The lecturer did this spontaneously and without anyone informing her in advance. I provided constructive feedback for them to improve on this but it happened again. This time I turned up like a fool only to be turned away because 1 of the labs was "out of action" and they did not inform me of this so I was turned away. Finaly, they tried to arrange an online replacement class for me only for it to be cancelled at the last minute once again. Four months on and I still have not completed a simple 10 day course. Good company let down by poor HR.

Nice teachers but it is clear this is not like industry standards, we were taught in an old storage cupboard! I was told evolution isn't real multiple times. We were also told by numerous staff that no research actually takes place at BioGrad, despite it being advertised as a research institute - which is not surprising as managers are not scientists.

Amazing lecturers but the lab space is shocking. Everything is makeshift and it appears upper management do not understand the science they're 'selling'.

Their latest research on gene editing technologies is groundbreaking and has the potential to revolutionize treatments for genetic disorders. The team’s expertise and passion shine through their work, and it’s evident that they are at the forefront of biotechnological advancements. Their publications are not only scientifically rigorous but also accessible, making it easier for non-specialists to understand the importance of their findings. I can’t wait to see what they achieve next!
