I was looking for a down jacket to go ice climbing in Norway which reaches lows of -14°c. I visited Cotswold, Trespass and Millets as well as Blacks. Millets is owned by the same company as Blacks so the sales assistant there recommended Blacks to me. There was a great selection in Blacks and most things were well discounted as it was just after Christmas. All the sales assistants were extremely helpful. On of the sales assistants, Mike, was even an ice climbing instructor who have me fantastic advice. I was not expecting such knowledgeable service about climbing and mountaineering especially from a Blacks in a coastal city :) I would 100% recommend this shop

I was survey by an employee called Jude who was really informative. Furthermore all the employees seemed like lovely people and were really helpful.
I will definitely be back!

Went in yesterday to buy some hiking boots—the boots are perfect, and the service was great. Anastasia was very helpful and knowledgeable when I was asking about which boots would be a best fit and I’m very happy with my purchase!

Shopped here n Brighton North Street store today (18/12/24) 11.18am.looking for a Berghaus coat. Have wanted to get one for a while and would rather shop in store than online because you get a better idea of what they’re like and can try them on for size. Had a good range in-store. Was served by Lily who helped me try a couple on for size. Great service from her and her male colleague at the till. Thoroughly recommend. Pity the store in Chelmsford, where I live, closed because their lease had expired.
