Within a six week period I placed three…

Within a six week period I placed three orders with Boxlunch and one order with Hot Topic spending $1325.51 in all. My orders consisted of all Loungefly Disney bags that I purchased for Christmas gifts. For these orders I used an Ebates credit card along with their app for the cash back bonus. The last order I placed was the true bonus order. I used the cash back bonus that I received from Boxlunch, so truly saving $$.

Last week I tried to place orders on both Hot Topic and Boxlunch, and continued to receive messages informing me I was no longer allowed to purchase anything online due to the cash back rewards used by all sources. I was truly in disbelief.

This company has no idea how to appreciate the revenue that comes in from customers who have invested their time, effort and money spent on them. I will never spend another dime with any of the affiliates under Sycamore Partners. My guess is they will crumble soon due to these types of business practices.

Very very disappointed with Box Lunch

I recently made an order online with Box lunch and it was a big order that also cost me allot. This was an international order, i have ordered from them before and the items came in OK condition. This time my order came in 3 boxes as it was a number of items. All 3 boxes that the items were shipped in were so badly damaged that before i even opened them i knew there were going to be damaged goods. I do understand that when shipping internationally things are out of the control of the sending company but i feel there can be ways to better box and protect items, especially because i am a collector and expect to receive items in a good condition. The boxes itself were very weak and not sturdy at all (This is also the reason why they looked so much worse). Paying a high fee for international shipping i would expect better stronger boxes and also a few Fragile stickers on the boxes as there were none. when i opened up the boxes as expected many of the items were very very badly damaged and really not worth the money i spent.
I was very disappointed with Box lunch and the quality of the items i received. Items that were even in sorting boxes were damaged and some even seem to be damaged before if was even shipped, so i assume because it is international they put stock that is already damaged as they know its a mission to complain and return the items. I know nothing will come of my ranting but just thought i would share my experience. I have bought many items from other US online stores and have received items in mint condition as they package well. There was very little bubble wrap even used to protect the items. I was really looking forward to the items and especially one that i even order 2 off but both were just put in a box with nothing to protect it and it was so damaged. I am really disappointed as i have mentioned before and feel like it was a big waste of money ordering from them.

In store is great, but online...

I like the products from boxed lunch and would definitely buy in stores again but it’s impossible for me to buy online. My order was canceled 2 times once when I ordered it with my card and the second when my boyfriend ordered it from his card. I emailed customer service and they got back to me within a day and said they would keep canceling my order because my shipping address and my billing address are different because “it wasn’t a real address”. This is not a great way to make money as a company especially from someone who suffers from anxiety and can’t leave the house all the time to interact with people to buy the products in store. Im just glad I figured it out in time to use my box lunch cash and was able to use my free money

I love their stuff but...

I love their stuff but...I live in NZ and was just about to buy $200 US worth of products, was so excited until I saw they were trying to tack on a $98 shipping fee, I'm sorry but that is beyond ridiculous.

Terrible company: Rip off small shops

Terrible company! Hot Topic and Box Lunch both have ripped off small artists and shops, putting designs on their products. Their art department must be lazy or untalented, since they apparently must browse ideas from other small shops or deviantArt, and replicate it. On top of that, the quality of their products are very low. Do not support either of these shops!

Pretty much non-existent customer service

Contacting my credit card company to log a dispute and get my money back - maybe Boxlunch will respond to that as they're certainly not responding to my email about the faulty items I paid to have delivered by international shipping - complete waste of money. Not had a problem with orders until it came to receiving faulty ones, then it would appear that, despite having someone to post Instagram and Facebook ads, there's no-one available to reply to my numerous messages.

Rubbish

I've ordered from them a few times n both times were bad. Dont order pick up in store unless u wanna wait 2 months for it. It says online can take up to 14 to 21 not 60 days. Another time I ordered online n used a promo n was charged wrong. They charged me full price without promo used. Idk how their still open tbh

Box Lunch

Box Lunch is terrible!! I ordered in store and because of their negligence of not getting a verification email the product I ordered is no longer available. It was a Christmas present for my son. Never shop their again!!

I've tried giving box lunch so many opportunities but on top of having rude employees at the box lunch nearest me with more than one incident. buying online and having a verification email only to have my order canceled takes the cake. get your act together. I will no longer be spending my hard earned cash here.

Easily My Favorite Store

So I'm sure everyone has heard of Hot Topic which I'd say isn't the best store, but for some reason their lesser known store Box Lunch is amazing!! I've been a rewards member for a few years and all of my experiences have been positive. They have the best sales and even greater merchandise. They honor online discounts in store, they give rewards discounts that for me have ranged between $5 and $30, ship to store is FREE, and the employees are so helpful and fully invested in making sure you get the best deal. Just yesterday I bought an enamel pin online that normally would've been $8.90 plus tax, but betwen the sale and rewards discount, it came out to $1.77!! Definitely would shop here again and would recommend it to anyone into pop culture merchandise.

Box Lunch sucks

I honestly wish i could give zero stars to this. It's such a shame because I actually love the Hot Topic brand and company and I've never had an issue with them but Box Lunch? ooh boy, they are beyond terrible. I've tried 3 separate occasions to buy an item and each time it was cancelled. I know for a fact that I had funds in my account and that there was plenty of stock so there really should be no reason as to why my orders were cancelled with no reasoning. On my very last purchase ever with Box Lunch, there was a bag I purchased and I know for a fact I got the very last one because it said out of stock right after I put in all my information and after I used my reward. I got the email saying thank you for your purchase and all that jazz and then waited a WEEK just for them to say my order was cancelled. I sent an email asking why my order was cancelled but of course I've gotten no response. I like a lot of the items they sell but if they're just going to cancel every order of mine then I refuse to give any business.

I tried ordering an item from Box…

I tried ordering an item from Box lunch. They canceled the order twice without any explanation. I first tried using pay pal and when that didn't work, I tried my other credit card. I finally emailed them and they said their system is requiring that the billing information be verified with my bank on a 3-way call. How do you even pay for something if they require a 3-way call with your bank. This is the most bizarre ordering system I have ever placed. They actually require 3 levels of security for a $50 order?

I ordered an item and used the discount cash for Box Lunch. They cancelled my order, refused to give back the coupon and blacklisted me from ordering because they said I had a charge back for Torrid 2 years ago. Per Torrid, Paypal and Am Ex this is not true. They were horribly rude and I will NEVER do business with them, Hot Topic or Torrid ever. I blog and am telling my story. HORRIBLE!

Box lunch only:Made an order cause I wanted one item but to justify the crazy shipping I ordered a couple more. Just got notice that the one thing I actually wanted isnt available so I asked to cancel the order.I was told its in the final stages of shipping and I only had an hour after ordering to cancel yet they took 4 days to tell me my item isnt available.

Boxlunch online store

Decided to order a bag from them on their online store since they were having a 30% off sale site wide. A few days later hadn't received tracking so I called and they assured me I would get it in to estimated 4-10 days. 7 days after my order I received an email telling me they cancelled my order! This was my first time buying anything from them and I don't plan on giving them my business again. Just avoid this place.

Their customer service is so bad

Their customer service is so bad. I ordered two items from there, got a confirmation number and everything. I email and email them to get an update on my order and I get nothing. So I go on my account and check and the orders not there. Went to my bank account and the money that they took out from the order is back in. I don't know what happened but i couldn't get ahold of them thru email. I've ordered three times from them online and they NEVER send a shipping confirmation email. You literally have to get ahold of them each time to find out about your order status

Just for BoxLunch

I ordered a purse, and was told that I would receive it 2-3 days after it shipped. I checked the site's FAQ, and they claimed that it takes 1-2 days to process each order. It took over a week to 'process' my order, and then, all they did was print a shipping label- it took an additional week for them to actually ship my package. It's now been yet another week, and I still have yet to receive the package. I've tried half a dozen times to get an explanation or any sort of refund since it's been over three weeks since I was supposed to receive my item. Do not order from BoxLunch, ever. It is a scam, or at the very least, an incredibly crappy business.

This is for BoxLunch only. I tried to order an item and it was listed incorrectly on the site. I called them about it and they had no information. I ordered the item with the best information I had and received a completely different item. I have called them, stayed on hold forever, left my number for a callback twice and no call back. I emailed them to get back to me and no response AT ALL. It's been weeks. Now I have to find a store to try and return this useless item. The prices and items look good but this seems to be a scam? I can't tell. I adore Hot Topic but this BoxLunch thing is a rip off, best I can tell. This was my first and last experience with them. I will not ever be ordering from them again.
